Her father, Gyanesh Kumar Gupta, a 1988-batch IAS officer from the Kerala cadre, has recently been appointed as the Chief Election Commissioner. She completed her schooling in Kerala and went on to study Economics at St. Stephen's College, Delhi University. 2014-batch IAS officer 3 / 7 Medha Roopam is married to Manish Bansal, a 2014-batch IAS officer currently serving as the District Magistrate of Saharanpur. The two met during their training, eventually tied the knot, and are now proud parents of two children. Assistant Magistrate in Bareilly 4 / 7 After clearing the UPSC Civil Services Examination, Medha Roopam secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 10. She joined the IAS in 2014 from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, beginning her career as an Assistant Magistrate in Bareilly. District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar 5 / 7 Before her appointment as District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Medha Roopam served as the DM of Kasganj. In April 2022, she was posted as the District Magistrate of Hapur, later taking on the role of Additional Chief Executive Officer (ACEO) of the Greater Noida Authority. District Magistrate of Noida 6 / 7 During her tenure as Joint Magistrate in Meerut and Unnao, she continued to excel in shooting, winning multiple gold medals. She now serves as the District Magistrate of Noida. Medha Rupam, an IAS officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, is in the news. She has been appointed as the District Magistrate (DM) of Noida. It is to be noted that she has been appointed as the new District Magistrate (DM) of Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida). Medha Rupam's father is Gyanesh Kumar Gupta, (retired) an IAS officer of the 1988 batch from Kerala cadre. He was appointed as the Election Commissioner of the country recently. Gyanesh Kumar Gupta, who is from Agra, is known for his strict decision-making when it comes to administration. He has served as Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs during the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. Medha Rupam started her career as a shooting athlete and broke state records by winning three gold medals at the Kerala State Shooting Championship. However, after being motivated by her father, she decided to pivot from being an athlete and pursue her dream of an administrative service. She worked hard to become an IAS officer. After taking the UPSC Civil Services Examination, Medha secured the All India Rank(AIR) 10th. In 2014, she joined the IAS from the Uttar Pradesh cadre with her first posting as Assistant Magistrate in Bareilly. Even when she worked as a Joint Magistrate in Meerut and Unnao districts, she was able to win gold medals at shooting competitions. After serving as the Joint Director of UPAAM in Lucknow and Special Secretary of the Women Welfare Department, Medha Rupam was appointed as the Chief Development Officer of Barabanki, followed by her posting as the District Magistrate of Hapur.
