Baby boy dies after entering Chatsworth Park lake north of Gympie
Police are investigating the death of a seven-month-old boy who drowned in a lake at a roadside stop north of Gympie. Multiple triple-0 calls were made to emergency services about 10.30am on Saturday after the baby was found at the lake at Chatsworth Park. He was taken to Gympie Hospital by ambulance in a life-threatening condition but police said he had since died. Police are holding a press conference later on Monday, where investigators will give more details about the incident.
