What we know HCSO says the shooting happened around 7 p.m. in the 700 block of Providence Trace Circle at the Cypress Trace complex in Brandon. Deputies say two people were arguing in the breezeway when the suspect shot the victim, then took off. The man later died at the hospital, according to HCSO, and the suspect has not been caught as of Monday morning. What we know Investigators say a man later identified as Curtis Neraasen, 28, was armed as he broke into a home along Cobblestone Dr. in Spring Hill shortly after 3 a.m. Monday. HCSO says no one was hurt, and Neraasen got away before deputies arrived. Neraasen and the victim are known to each other, according to investigators. Neraasen is described as 5'11" and 180 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes, with deputies saying he was last seen on Spring Hill Dr. near Kass Cir. wearing a light gray tank top and light blue shorts. 13-year-old girl rescued from Tampa motel: 'This child was lured'
The Brief A 13-year-old girl was lured to a hotel by two men on Saturday in Tampa, according to HCSO. Detectives said the men offered the teen money for sex. The victim was able to send a voice message to her sister, who called 911, according to HCSO. TAMPA - The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested two men after deputies rescued a teenage girl from a Tampa motel room. On Saturday, the sheriff's office received a 911 call from the victim's sister, who had received a voice message from the 13-year-old indicating she was in danger at the A1 Motel. The backstory When deputies got to the scene, they found the girl inside a motel room. One of the suspects, Marlon Alfaro-Alvarez, 28, tried to take off through a bathroom window. He was quickly detained along with Floyd Amaya Garvin, 25. Detectives say the men had communicated with the girl via social media, picked her up under false pretenses, and took her to the motel. Dig deeper Detectives say the child repeatedly asked the men to let her go home, but the suspects physically prevented her from leaving the room and offered her money in exchange for sex. Fox tests positive for rabies in Wimberley community, HCSO says
AUSTIN (KXAN) — A fox tested positive for rabies in Wimberley on Friday, according to the Hays County Sheriff's Office. HCSO said in a social media post that a fox 'was found exhibiting abnormal behavior' in the Palo Pinto Path in Wimberley, which is near Cypress Creek. The agency said the fox was tested by the Department of State Health Services (DSHS), and that was when the test confirmed to be positive for the virus. 'We are asking all people to please be careful. If you come in contact with a fox please do not touch it. There has been no known human contact with this fox,' HCSO said. If anyone in the community may have come into physical contact with the fox can call HCSO, Animal Control Unit at (512) 393-7896, the Hays County Health Department Epidemiology Department at (512) 393-5520 option 3, or DSHS Zoonosis Control at (254) 778-6744, the agency said. Deputies search for man involved in Brandon road rage shooting
BRANDON, Fla. (WFLA)— Deputies are searching for a man involved in a road rage shooting that happened on Tuesday in Brandon. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office responded to the 11200 block of Causeway Boulevard in regards to a shooting. Before the shooting, the unidentified man, who is around 6'0″ tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds, and wearing a tan shirt and khaki pants, exited the driver's side of the black Sedan.
