BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – FEMA is hosting a Housing Resource Fair on Saturday, April 26th from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. The housing fair will take place at the Burke County Office Park Auditorium at 715 W 6th Street in Waynesboro. According to organizers, the Housing Resource Fair will bring together federal, state and local agencies in one place to offer services and resources to families recovering from Hurricane Helene. The Housing Resource Fair is an opportunity for survivors to:▪ Explore affordable housing options and rental assistance programs.▪ Meet with representatives from local housing organizations, landlords and property managers.▪ Gain access to resources for displaced individuals and families.▪ Learn from community partners about educational funding resources. Organizers state that the goal of this collaborative effort is to help connect eligible disaster survivors with affordable housing along with valuable information and resources on their road to recovery, and survivors will meet with local housing organizations, property owners and landlords, as well as get information on the HEARTS Georgia Sheltering Program and U.S. Small Business Administration loans. Chatham County, Ga. (WSAV) – FEMA will host a Housing Resource Fair from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Carver Village Community Center on Collat Avenue in Savannah. The fair will bring together federal, state and local agencies to offer services and resources to families recovering from Hurricane Helene. The goal is to help connect eligible disaster survivors with affordable housing along with valuable information and resources on their road to recovery. The fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Carver Village Community Center located at 905 Collat Ave, Savannah, GA 31415. Survivors will meet with local housing organizations, property owners and landlords, as well as gain information on the HEARTS Georgia Sheltering Program, and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) loans. The Housing Resource Fair is an opportunity for survivors to:▪ Explore affordable housing options and rental assistance programs.▪ Meet with representatives from local housing organizations, landlords and property managers.▪ Gain access to resources for displaced individuals and families.▪ Learn about community partners that will provide educational funding resources to attendees. The fair is being held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 15 at Henry Brigham Community Center at 2463 Golden Camp Road in Augusta. This event is open to all, regardless of whether or not attendants have applied for assistance from FEMA. According to FEMA, the goal of the even is to connect disaster survivors to resources including local housing organizations, property owners, landlords as well as information on the HEARTS Georgia Sheltering Program and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) loans.
