Liam Gallagher responds to reports that Oasis axed iconic song from reunion tour
Liam Gallagher has spoken out following reports that Oasis dropped a popular song from their upcoming reunion tour setlist over its links to a disgraced pop star. Brothers Noel Gallagher, 57, and Liam Gallagher, 52, are getting back together for a series of stadium gigs across the UK and Ireland this summer, before heading off for a string of international shows. Having not performed together in nearly 15 years, sources previously claimed that the duo have axed their single Hello from their set list due to its association with disgraced pop star Gary Glitter. The opening track from their iconic 1995 album (What's the Story) Morning Glory? is reportedly being cut from the setlist because it includes lyrics from Gary's 1973 hit Hello, I'm Back Again, with the melody of his original song playing subtly underneath. But now, Liam has denied the rumours, writing on X in response to a fan asking if they would omit the famous song: 'We'll be playing HELLO trust me.' A source previously told The Sun: 'The lyrics of the song would obviously have been a good fit for the reunion tour, but the band have decided to leave it in the past. We'll be playing HELLO trust me — Liam Gallagher (@liamgallagher) May 5, 2025 'It would be inappropriate to play it given its connotations to Glitter and his convictions.' Glitter was put behind bars in 2015 for 16 years after sexually abusing three schoolgirls. His sentence will end in February 2031. Glitter was automatically released from HMP The Verne, a low-security prison in Portland, Dorset, in February 2023. He had served half of his fixed-term determinate sentence but was imprisoned less than six weeks after walking free. This was after police monitoring showed he had breached his licence conditions by reportedly trying to access the dark web and viewing downloaded images of children. Glitter, whose real name is Paul Gadd, was at the height of his fame when he preyed on his vulnerable victims. Oasis broke up back in 2009, with Noel abruptly quitting just before they were scheduled to perform at a Paris festival. After shooting to fame in 1994, Oasis were responsible for some of the UK music scene's most definitive tunes, from Wonderwall to Stop Crying Your Heart Out. Despite their reunion announcement taking the world by storm, rumours have emerged that the pair are still keeping their distance behind the scenes. According to one insider, the brothers are holding separate concert after-parties in their own private green rooms, far away from each other. The Sun reported: 'You might be seeing Oasis on stage but you will not be seeing Liam and Noel together afterwards. 'Each of them had a VIP list where their friends and famous fans could buy their tickets. 'But depending on which brother you got your ticket off, it's their green room and after-party you're invited to.' More Trending The publication's source continued: 'So if you're on Noel's list but fancy going across to say hello to Liam, it's going to be a case of trying to blag entry. It seems like they are totally separate events. 'It's gutting for people who want to hang out with both of them, but it seems they're keeping it all at a distance.' The one noticeable absence from Beckham's 50th celebration
Football legend David Beckham marked his 50th birthday in style over the weekend, hosting a swanky dinner at Core by Clare Smyth in Notting Hill. He was joined by his wife Victoria, 51, and a host of celebrity friends, including Eva Longoria, 50. Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, 58, and his wife Tana Ramsay, 50, were also on the guest list for Beckham's milestone celebration. Beckham was surrounded by his nearest and dearest, with his children, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and 13-year-old Harper, making it a true family affair. The Beckham men suited up in classic ties and tailored jackets, while Victoria and Harper looked elegant in floor-length navy dresses. Sharing photos from the night, Victoria and David captioned their posts: 'Creating special memories with family and friends. We love you all.' Although one seat appeared noticeably empty. Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz were absent from the evening. The couple, who now live in the US, didn't feature in any photos from the night and made no mention of the celebration on social media. Instead, Peltz posted a throwback tribute to her late grandmothers on Instagram, calling them her 'forever soulmates'. Writing, 'I can't fathom the thought of not being able to hug you or hear your laugh right now — I just miss you both so much.' Their absence did not go unnoticed, especially as it marks the latest in a series of missed family moments. Brooklyn was also a no-show at Beckham's earlier birthday bash in Miami and appeared to skip the family's Easter celebrations, HELLO reported. Rumours of tension began swirling earlier this year when he failed to post public tributes for Victoria's 51st birthday or Mother's Day—an uncharacteristic move for the usually sentimental eldest son. Now, reports suggest there may be tension between Brooklyn and younger brother Romeo, allegedly sparked by Brooklyn and Nicola's disapproval of Romeo's girlfriend, DJ Kim Turnbull. Speculation also surfaced that Brooklyn and Kim may have dated in the past, but younger brother Cruz quickly shut that down, replying to a comment on Instagram: 'Brooklyn and Kim never dated.' No one in the Beckham camp has officially commented, but with social media silence and ongoing absences, fans are beginning to connect the dots. Behind the family photos and designer fits, it seems not everything in Beckham's world is picture-perfect.

Exclusive: Inside Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's double date at royal favourite Vancouver restaurant
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex enjoyed an intimate dinner with close friend Michael Buble and his wife Luisana on Saturday February 8, after celebrating the opening of the 2025 Invictus Games. The pair were joined by Michael and three friends at Vij's, an Indian restaurant south of downtown Vancouver, where they visited in 2024, and where Prince William and Princess Kate have also dined. "They are amazing, extremely beautiful, and very friendly," Vikram Vij, the owner and head chef told HELLO! "Meghan is awesome and loved all the food. She remembered the chilis from last time, and I was totally impressed because she knew bhindi is the hindi word for okra." Prince Harry had the lamb popsicles - a rack of lamb with fresh mint - and after dinner they visited the kitchen where they had were "gracious and grateful". "They ate a lot," said Vikram, sharing that they also had his favorite snack, a schnitzel with butter chicken sauce, and that Meghan was surprised to learn about their pasta dish, cooked with prawns and coconut milk curry sauce. Vancouver received a lot of snow fall this last week, and Vikram shared that the parking lot "was covered in snow and I was holding Meghan's hand as I didnt want her to slip, I was so worried she would slip!" Prince Harry "was wearing fancy shoes, and I said, "Do you want me to hold your hand?"" The Montecito locals have been friends with Vancouver-born Michael and his wife Luisana for several years, with the famous Canadian singer also joining them at a curling event in 2024 at Hillcrest Community Centre. Day one of the Invictus Games kicked off with an incredible opening ceremony that saw Harry and Meghan on their feet dancing. The two exchanged a series of loving looks throughout the event at BC Place in Vancouver as they enjoyed performances from Coldplay's Chris Martin, Katy Perry and Nelly Furtado inside the packed BC Place Stadium. The Invictus Games is an international multi-sport event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans. The inaugural event was held in London, followed by Orlando two years later, Toronto in 2017, Sydney in 2018, The Hague in 2022 and Dusseldorf in 2023. Video from inside the opening ceremony showed many of the competitors from the 23 nations becoming emotional as Harry spoke of their courage and spirit. "Over the past decade I've lost count of the times we've heard you tell us that the Invictus Games saved you. Respectfully, I disagree. Invictus didn't save you. You saved yourself," he said. "It was you, who pushed through the doubt and despair. You, who summited your own mountain and brought us along with you. It was you who kept going even when you didn't think you had any more to give. We didn't do that. You did." After the ceremony Harry and Meghan watched NHL team the Canucks play the Maple Leafs; Harry dropped the puck alongside two members of the Canadian Invictus team, Lee Jarratt and Andre Crocker, and Canucks Sports & Entertainment Chairman Francesco Aquilini.
