Former Antwerp head coach set to join Erik Ten Hag at Bayer Leverkusen
HLN are reporting that Antwerp's now former head coach Andries Ulderink is set to move to the Bundesliga. According to the Belgian paper, Ulderink is set to become part of the coaching set up under Erik Ten Hag at Bayer Leverkusen. Former Ajax and Manchester United head coach Ten Hag took over at the club following Xabi Alonso's departure to Real Madrid. Since leaving Antwerp, Ulderink has been helping at Cape Town City. The South African side face a relegation play-off group against Orbit College and Casric Stars. There had been rumours that he would taking over in the Western Cape, but it appears he is instead going to reutrn to Europe. However, talks are ongoing between Ulderink's camp and Erik Ten Hag's new side over bringing the former Antwerp head coach in as an assistant. Dutch coach Ulderink took over for the play-offs in the Pro League from Jonas De Roeck after he was fired. However, the side still missed out on European football. They finished fifth, with Ulderink only winning two of his 13 matches in charge. The seventh loss under him was the most crucial, as it came in the play-off for the final European ticket. Charleroi beat Antwerp at the Bosuil thanks to a late goal from Parfait Guaigon. GBeNeFN | Ben Jackson

Can Mixed Fundamentals Have A Negative Impact on Haleon plc (LON:HLN) Current Share Price Momentum?
Most readers would already be aware that Haleon's (LON:HLN) stock increased significantly by 13% over the past month. However, we decided to pay attention to the company's fundamentals which don't appear to give a clear sign about the company's financial health. Specifically, we decided to study Haleon's ROE in this article. Return on equity or ROE is a key measure used to assess how efficiently a company's management is utilizing the company's capital. Simply put, it is used to assess the profitability of a company in relation to its equity capital. AI is about to change healthcare. These 20 stocks are working on everything from early diagnostics to drug discovery. The best part - they are all under $10bn in marketcap - there is still time to get in early. How Is ROE Calculated? ROE can be calculated by using the formula: Return on Equity = Net Profit (from continuing operations) ÷ Shareholders' Equity So, based on the above formula, the ROE for Haleon is: 9.1% = UK£1.5b ÷ UK£16b (Based on the trailing twelve months to December 2024). The 'return' is the income the business earned over the last year. One way to conceptualize this is that for each £1 of shareholders' capital it has, the company made £0.09 in profit. View our latest analysis for Haleon What Has ROE Got To Do With Earnings Growth? So far, we've learned that ROE is a measure of a company's profitability. Depending on how much of these profits the company reinvests or "retains", and how effectively it does so, we are then able to assess a company's earnings growth potential. Assuming all else is equal, companies that have both a higher return on equity and higher profit retention are usually the ones that have a higher growth rate when compared to companies that don't have the same features. Haleon's Earnings Growth And 9.1% ROE On the face of it, Haleon's ROE is not much to talk about. We then compared the company's ROE to the broader industry and were disappointed to see that the ROE is lower than the industry average of 12%. Accordingly, Haleon's low net income growth of 3.7% over the past five years can possibly be explained by the low ROE amongst other factors. We then compared Haleon's net income growth with the industry and found that the company's growth figure is lower than the average industry growth rate of 7.7% in the same 5-year period, which is a bit concerning. LSE:HLN Past Earnings Growth May 8th 2025 The basis for attaching value to a company is, to a great extent, tied to its earnings growth. The investor should try to establish if the expected growth or decline in earnings, whichever the case may be, is priced in. By doing so, they will have an idea if the stock is headed into clear blue waters or if swampy waters await. Has the market priced in the future outlook for HLN? Anderlecht target talented young Rosenborg winger
HLN are reporting that Anderlecht are targeting young Rosenborg winger Marius Broholm. The 20-year-old made his debut for the side at the age of 17 and currently has a contract until the end of the 2026 season. Anderlecht are said to have already scouted Broholm extensively and are now wanting to make a move for the winger. The Norwegian league has only just begun, yet Broholm has already made his mark. The winger has scored once and provided an assist during the opening three matches. Rosenborg were once one of the premier sides in the league but have seen their title challenges waiver in past seasons. During the 2024 season the side finished fourth, having been as low as ninth during the 2023 campaign. Advertisement Broholm was not with the side for the 2023 season. Instead he was loaned out to then second tier side Kristiansund. In 28 games for the side he scored seven goals, with the club finishing fourth and being promoted via the play-offs. Broholm returned to his parent club for the 2024 campaign and was a standout player. In 29 games he scored eight goals for the club. He is also a full international for the Norwegian U21 side. What Really Happened on Queen Mathilde of Belgium's Flight amid Reports of an 'Emergency Landing'
Queen Mathilde of Belgium's trip to Costa Rica started with a slight scare. The royal flew to Costa Rica on Feb. 9 for a solo three-day visit organized through UNICEF. According to aviation news X account @FL360aero, a plane traveling from Amsterdam was given "priority landing" at San José Juan Santamaria International Airport due to a cracked windshield, sharing a photo of the damage. The plane made a safe landing at its intended destination about 15 minutes ahead of schedule. Later, reporter Wim Dehandschutter revealed he was on that plane along with Queen Mathilde. Although there were reports about the Queen's emergency landing, Dehandschutter said he wasn't aware of anything amiss until seeing the reports later. "I was on that flight. As passengers, we didn't notice anything, and we didn't receive any notification during the flight or upon landing," he wrote on X. Dehandschutter said in a piece published by HLN, "I was a bit surprised when I read reports in the local media and on X about the 'emergency landing.' " He added that there was turbulence on the flight and the landing was "quite hard" but "nothing alarming." It's unclear if Queen Mathilde, 52, was informed of the incident, but the royal was all smiles when she was photographed upon arrival. Queen Mathilde traveled on a commercial flight by FLM and sat in business class, according to HLN. The outlet reported that while King Philippe always travels on a military plane for security reasons, his wife was able to take the more traditional route during her solo trip.
