The company has also fixed the record date to identify the eligibility of shareholders for this corporate action. Earlier to this, it had announced a stock split. The ex-date for the stock split was December 29, 2023. Also, the company has announced two final dividends before this. However, this final dividend is subject to approval at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Dividend Record Date Showing their proactive approach, frozen meat exporter HMA Agro Industries has set August 22 as the record date for the payment of the final dividend. This date is crucial as it allows the company to determine the eligibility of shareholders for a corporate action, keeping everyone informed and up-to-date. 'Fixed Friday, August 22, 2025 as Record Date/Cut-off Date for determining the eligibility of shareholders to receive the final dividend subject to shareholders' approval at the AGM,' the company said. Dividend Amount Reassuring shareholders, the company's board of directors has recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.30 per equity share with a face value of Re 1 each for the financial year 2024-25, demonstrating the company's commitment to transparency and shareholder confidence. 'Considered and recommend the Final Dividend of Rs. 0.30/- Per Equity Share (30%) for the financial year 2024-25,' the filing reads. Share Price Today Meanwhile, the counter started the trading session in the red at Rs 30.85 against the previous close of Rs 31.10 on the BSE. This indicates a slight decrease in the stock price. While it touched the intraday high of Rs 30.91, the intraday low of the stock is Rs 30.47. The 52-week high of the stock is Rs 53.30 and the 52-week low is Rs 27.54. The market cap of the company is Rs 1,533.86. Since its debut in 2023, the stock of the company has shown a negative return of 49.22 per cent in two years and 39.10 per cent in one year, providing a comprehensive view of the stock's long-term performance and keeping the audience informed and aware of its history.

Despite opening in the red at ₹33 — slightly below the previous close of ₹33.65 on the BSE — the stock rebounded during the session to hit an intraday high of ₹33.78. The company, a key player in the frozen meat export sector, currently holds a market capitalization of ₹1,663.06 crore. Board Meeting Announcement Sparks Investor Interest The uptick in trading activity comes after the company notified exchanges about an upcoming board meeting scheduled for May 29, 2025. During this meeting, the board will consider and approve the financial results for the fourth quarter (January–March) and the full financial year 2024–25. In addition to the quarterly results, the board is also expected to deliberate on other important business matters. According to the exchange filing, the agenda includes a proposal to avail Export Packing Credit (EPC) facilities from Punjab National Bank. The company is seeking an additional exposure of ₹100 crore under this facility, which is aimed at supporting its export financing requirements. The board will also review proposals related to the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. IPO Performance and Market Debut HMA Agro made its debut on the stock exchanges in July 2024, listing at a premium of nearly 7% over its issue price of ₹585. The company's ₹480-crore Initial Public Offering (IPO) was comprised of a fresh issue worth ₹150 crore and an offer-for-sale of ₹330 crore. The IPO was moderately successful, garnering 1.62 times subscription by the close of bidding on June 23, 2024. Broader Market Weakness The resilience in HMA Agro's share price came against the backdrop of a steep decline in the broader equity markets. Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty opened sharply lower, mirroring weak global cues amid growing concerns over the U.S. fiscal outlook and rising debt-related risks. In early trade, the Sensex dropped by 578.3 points, reaching 81,018.33, while the Nifty slipped 203.45 points to 24,610. The decline deepened later in the session, with the Sensex falling as much as 746.48 points to 80,832.82, and the Nifty dropping by 233.80 points to 24,575.65.

Stock Market Today: Small-cap stock below ₹ 50, HMA Agro, gained during the intraday trade on Friday, May 16, defying the weak stock market sentiment. The gains followed HMA Agro's announcement regarding the conversion of debt into the equity shares of the company. HMA Agro Industries informed the stock exchanges about the allotment of equity shares by its subsidiary company during market trading hours on Friday. As per the release shared by the small-cap company with the exchanges, HMA Agro said one of its subsidiary companies has allotted 30,37,000 equity shares of face value ₹ 10/- each at an issue price of ₹ 10/- per share, aggregating to ₹ 3,03,70,000 by way of conversion of loan into equity. The subsidiary being referred to by HMA Ago is HMA Natural Foods Private Limited HMA Agro, in the filing, also said that the credit of shares has been duly confirmed by HMA Natural Foods Private Limited through a confirmation letter received from Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL). The small-cap stock below ₹ 50, HMA Agro's share price, opened at ₹ 33.05 on the BSE on Friday. At the time of opening, HMA Agro stock traded in the green, as it kicked off the trade above the previous closing price of ₹ 32.91. HMA Agro share price gained further to an intraday high of ₹ 33.70, resulting in gains of 2.4%. The rise in the company's stock came despite weakness in the Indian stock market. Both Sensex and Nifty 50 declined nearly 0.50% in intraday deals today. HMA Agro's 52-week high stands at ₹ 59.44, scaled on June 11, 2024, while the stock has touched a 52-week low of ₹ 27.54 on April 1, 2025.
