Flying without REAL ID will require alternate forms of identification

NEW YORK (PIX11) — REAL ID enforcement is finally in effect at airports nationwide, decades after the original legislation was passed but what can you do if you need to travel but didn't get a REAL ID in time? Travelers who aren't REAL ID ready can still fly but should be prepared for extra security, according to the head of Homeland Security Kristi Noem. More Local News Residents can use an alternate form of identification to board domestic flights such as a passport. However in the event that residents still don't have one, below is a list of other compliant means of identification that TSA will accept.
