First picture of 'beautiful' woman, 25, who died in equestrian centre tragedy

A woman who died after falling from a horse at a riding centre in Carmarthen has been named locally as Katie Hacche. Ms Hacche, a 25-year-old keen horse rider, had been practising in a warm up area at Little Mill Equestrian near Rhydargaeau, which she'd done countless times before, when the tragic accident occurred. The local equestrian community has been left devastated by the news. Little Mill, where Ms Hacche - a popular person within the community - had ridden for years, is operated by Susanne, Abi and David Williams. They issued a statement paying tribute to Ms Hacche after her death on Saturday. Stay informed on Carmarthenshire news by signing up to our newsletter here. The statement read: 'Our hearts go out to Katie's family. She was such a lovely person and what a pleasure it was to see her ride here at Little Mill over the years. We simply cannot put into words how we are all feeling. I am reminded that even on a quiet day doing the sport you all love there is risk involved and we do everything we can to ensure people's safety. 'We would like to extend our thanks to our first aiders who worked tirelessly until the paramedics and the Welsh air ambulance service arrived. We ask if Katie's family may be given privacy and respected in this truly difficult time.' Many more have paid tribute to Ms Hacche online in the days after her death. One tribute described her as "beautiful", while another said she "will never be forgotten". Following her fall on Saturday morning the air ambulance and paramedics arrived quickly on the scene but sadly could not save her. In a statement Dyfed-Powys Police has said her death is not being treated as suspicious. A coroner's report is being prepared and a referral has been made to the local authority.
