DOHA: Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs HE Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanim hasconvened an extensive meeting with the licensed Qatari Hajj campaign operators for the current Hajj season to assess the level of preparedness, review operational frameworks, and examine field arrangements, with the objective of ensuring a safe and seamless pilgrimage for the pilgrims of the State of Qatar. Al Ghanim was apprised of the campaigns' preparations, including those related to accommodation, provision of top-notch catering and transportation services within the holy sites, comprehensive healthcare, religious guidance, and administrative support, in addition to close coordination with the auxiliary units of the Qatari Hajj Mission. Partnership, integration, and concerted efforts between Awqaf, represented by the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Department, and Hajj campaigns are paramount to jointly provide an unbridled and successful model of Hajj for pilgrims from Qatar, beginning with the registration and contractual procedures, proceeding through the performance of the sacred rites, and culminating in their safe return to the homeland upon the fulfillment of the fifth pillar of Islam, Al Ghanim stressed. In addition,he listened to the feedback and suggestions of the operators of these campaigns on advancing work mechanisms and the offered services, as well as streamlining the process of communicating with pilgrims.
