Report – Al-Nassr Sound Out Move For Inter Milan Midfielder

Al-Nassr have reportedly sounded out a move with the entourage of Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu. This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, via FCInterNews. Galatasaray had reportedly been keen to sign the 31-year-old former AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder. However, the Gazzetta report that the Istanbul giants did not even make Inter an official offer. A deal for Calhanoglu would simply have been out of reach financially for Galatasaray. For one thing, the Turkish international was insisting on a wage increase from the €7.5 million net per season plus add-ons he earns at Inter. And he wanted at least a three-year deal. Then, convincing Inter with an offer would have been no mean feat. Reports indicate that Inter would want a fee in the region of €35-40 million for Calhanoglu. Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr have already signed one holding midfielder in the form of Marcelo Brozovic. They signed the Croatian international in the summer of 2023. And according to SportItalia, Al-Hilal have also sounded out the entourage of Calhanoglu.

Report – Inter Milan Wouldn't Consider Offers Below €35M For Ex AC Milan Star This Summer

Inter Milan reportedly wouldn't consider offers below €35 million for midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu this summer. This according to Turkish outlet Guerin Sportivo, via FCInterNews. Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu stayed at Inter Milan this summer. He did so in spite of a lot of transfer rumours, though. Furthermore, the Nerazzurri would have to have signed a replacement. And that likely would have required an outlay of at least €50 million. For example, Inter were targeting Ederson as a replacement for Calhanoglu, Guerin Sportivo note. And Atalanta would have wanted around €70 million for the Brazilian.

Report – Inter Milan Could Loan Albania Star Out This Summer

Inter Milan could reportedly accept loaning midfielder Kristjan Asllani out before the end of the summer transfer window. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908. Kristjan Asllani has had three seasons of ups and downs since joining Inter from Empoli in 2022. However, there has never been any sign of the Albanian international dislodging Hakan Calhanoglu in the holding midfield. This summer is set to bring a revamp to Inter's midfield. New coach Cristian Chivu wants to set the team up in a 3-4-2-1 shape with two central midfielders rather than a 3-5-2 with a trio. But far from handing new opportunities to Asllani, this change-up will only further marginalize the 23-year-old. (Photo by) Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu has made clear to Asllani that he does not see the Albanian international as suited to either the holding or attacking midfield roles in his new formations. Therefore, Asllani will not really have a position to play in. Inter Milan are hoping to sell the 23-year-old, therefore. However, so far the player himself has rejected possible destinations. Asllani has turned down Real Betis, as he hopes to stay in Serie A. Meanwhile, the Albanian international has also rejected newly-promoted Sassuolo. Asllani's hope would be to play for a team competing in the upper half of the Serie A table like Bologna or Fiorentina. So far, however, neither the Rossoblu nor La Viola have considered meeting Inter's €18 million asking price for Asllani. Therefore, the Gazzetta dello Sport report, Inter could open up to the idea of loaning Asllani out.

Inter Milan Captain At His Furious Best Vs Monaco – Summer Signing ‘Sends A Message' In Second Half

Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez was back to his furious best against Monaco. This is the view in today's print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They also argue that Ange-Yoan Bonny 'sent a message' with his goal. Inter Milan faced Monaco in a friendly match yesterday evening. The Nerazzurri went behind within a couple minutes. Maghnes Akliouche capitalized on some sloppy defending to give the Ligue 1 side an early lead. Then, things went from bad to worse after Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu received a red card. However, Inter came back in the second half of the match. Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez managed to find the equalizer, despite his team being at a numerical disadvantage. Then, it was summer signing Ange-Yoan Bonny who came off the bench to score the winner. (Photo by) In the view of Tuttosport, Inter captain Martinez was one of his team's outstanding performers. The Argentine looked physically fresh, and incisive in the final third. Then, Ange-Yoan Bonny was also one of the clear standouts. The Frenchman showed that he's been getting up to speed well in his first few weeks as an Inter player. Bonny's decisive goal was certainly a message ahead of the upcoming season. But so was his performance on the whole.

Inter Milan & Monaco Coaches Both Furious After Harsh Sending-Off In Friendly Clash

Cristian Chivu and Adi Hutter were both furious after Inter Milan's Hakan Calhanoglu received a harsh red card in a friendly against Monaco. Today's print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, note that neither team really benefited from the sending-off. Inter Milan faced Monaco in a friendly match yesterday. And 36 into the match, referee Mathieu Vernice sent off Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu. It was a strange decision, to say the least. Vernice gave the Inter midfielder a second yellow card – but it was not a particularly bad challenge, and if anything it was Calhanoglu who was being fouled. (Photo by) Expectedly, Inter Milan's players were in an uproar over Vernice's decision. And on the bench, Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu raged at the surprise red card. However, Tuttosport note that Chivu was not the only one upset with Vernice giving Calhanoglu his marching orders. Monaco coach Adi Hutter also voiced his anger with the referee alongside Chivu. Hutter was hardly looking for a result in a friendly match. The red card advantaging his team mattered little. Instead, the Monaco coach wanted his team to play eleven-versus-eleven for the full ninety minutes. This would have better allowed them to prepare for their season, which starts in just a week. Therefore, Hutter was no less upset than Chivu with the decision.
