I'm so happy with my Mounjaro body after dropping 4 stone but there's a side effect I hate & trolls say I ‘cheated'
SHE'S lost almost four stone since being on Mounjaro. But there's a side effect of the fat jabs that mum-of-two Sophie wasn't prepared for. 6 6 She took to TikTok to explain the downside of the injections, as she said: "I've lost not far off four stone now, but I've lost something else too..." Sophie then turned around and showed how her jeans looked from behind, as she said "there's nothing" where her bum used to be. "I have no ass!" she exclaimed. "Look at her!" She then asked for recommendations for "jeans that give you an ass". Sophie added that she's bought two pairs of jeans from online retailer Halara that are on the way, but she doesn't know if they'll even fit. As she modelled her current jeans, in a size 12, she pulled at the denim round the bottom and thighs to show that there's very little filling it out. "So yeah any advice guys, because I've got no ass," she laughed. People in the comments were quick to offer their advice, with one writing: " Tesco jeans & River Island always work wonders for me!" "I LOVE River Island jeans!" Sophie replied. I'm on Mounjaro & having a kebab for dinner left me bedbound for 24 hours - but I'm trolled for not eating healthily "Think I'm going to have a nosey on Vinted for some - thanks babe!" " Next do lift & shape jeans," another said. As a third recommended the " ASOS bum lift contour jeans". "Have you tried Tesco ones? They're super comfy!" someone else wrote. With Sophie responding: "Noooo I never go to the clothes section other than for the kids. "Will have to have a nosey!" What to do if you lose too much weight too quickly whilst on Mounjaro IF you're losing too much weight too quickly while on Mounjaro, it's important to take action to avoid potential health risks like muscle loss, malnutrition, dehydration, and fatigue. Here's what you can do: Evaluate Your Caloric Intake Mounjaro reduces appetite, which can make it easy to eat too little. If you're losing weight too fast (more than two to three lbs per week after the initial adjustment period), try: Tracking your food intake to ensure you're eating enough calories (apps like MyFitnessPal can help). Increasing protein intake to preserve muscle mass (aim for 0.6–1g per pound of body weight). Adding healthy fats and complex carbs (e.g., avocados, nuts, whole grains) for balanced energy. Adjust Your Dosage (With Doctor's Approval) If your weight loss is too rapid or causing side effects, your doctor may: Pause dose increases or lower your dosage. Adjust your treatment plan to stabilise your weight loss. Strength Training & Exercise To prevent muscle loss: Incorporate resistance training at least two to three times per week. Stay active with low-impact exercises like walking or yoga. Hydrate & Manage Electrolytes Drink enough water (Mounjaro can reduce thirst). Electrolytes matter - Consider adding magnesium, sodium, and potassium if you feel weak or fatigued. Monitor for Malnutrition & Deficiencies Rapid weight loss can cause vitamin/mineral deficiencies (especially B12, iron, and electrolytes). If you experience: Fatigue, hair loss, or dizziness, ask your doctor about supplements. Consider Further Medical Guidance If your weight loss is excessive or causing health concerns, speak with your healthcare provider. They might adjust your dosage, diet, or exercise plan to help stabilise your weight loss. While Sophie has done incredibly well on her Mounjaro journey to date, her weight loss hasn't come without criticism. And in another TikTok, she shared some of the remarks she's heard since she started the injections, including "Mounjaro is cheating". Others have accused her of "taking the easy way" of losing weight, while some say she'll "put it all back on". "Don't lose anymore, you'll look ill!" is another one she's heard. But Sophie hit back as she revealed the benefits she's found of losing weight, including the fact she's sleeping better, has more energy and has a "healthier relationship with food". She's also four dress sizes down, mentally happier, able to run around after the kids and no longer binge eating. And one of the most important benefits - she's "finally happy looking in the mirror". 6 6

📲 This week's viral TikTok products: Halara yoga shorts, jalapeño wine, a $6 lip balm
📲 This week's viral TikTok products: Halara yoga shorts, jalapeño wine, a $6 lip balm Consider this your weekly guide to the internet's trendiest products across beauty, wellness, travel and beyond. You know when you're on the cusp of discovering something that you think might change your life? Dramatic as it sounds (and I am very dramatic), that is how I felt while scrolling through TikTok this past week. For whatever reason, the app seemed to be brimming with even more product inspiration than usual. My For You page was populated with video after video of TikTok-viral product reviews, shopping trends and even the occasional review. I was left not only excited by the products that people are gravitating to these days (goodbye high-priced makeup items, hello drugstore beauty dupes) but eager to add many of them to my own shopping cart. And since I'm not in the business of gatekeeping, I'm here to share a few of my favorite trending TikTok products with you—and hopefully lead you in the direction of your next favorite purchase. I'll be coming to you every Friday with a breakdown of the week's most viral TikTok products, including explanations on why certain items are trending, what professional shoppers (like myself) really think about them and why they deserve a spot in your digital shopping cart. Shop this week's most viral TikTok products In this week's installment I take a look at a smushy $6 lip balm, personalized beach towels that are perfect for summer, an ugly-cute bag doll that's become a celeb-favorite accessory and the spicy jalapeño wine that's sure to add a kick to your bar cart. 1. They're shorts, they're yoga pants—they're yoga shorts Halara skirts have become a cult-favorite style, namely because of their flattering fit and celebrity fan base which includes stars like Taylor Swift. Now, Halara yoga shorts are all the rage—and yes, they're absolutely as comfortable as they sound. Imagine the stretchy comfort of yoga pants wrapped up into a cropped design that's breathable and stylish? Workout wear has never been so cool (literally). My verdict? The question isn't whether or not I'm going to buy these Halara shorts, it's how many colors I'm going to buy them in. Butter yellow is everywhere: Shop lululemon's new Belt Bag for a taste of the trend 🧈 2. Monogrammed beach towels are all the rage for summer No more forgetting your spot on the beach or losing track of the pool lounger you've settled into—with these viral Personalized Beach Towels, you can mark your territory and add a cute new monogrammed piece to your beach bag. My verdict? As a very private person, I'm admittedly a little weary about confirming my name in such a public capacity. What's next, turning our Social Security numbers into bumper stickers for our cars? (See, drama!) Privacy concerns aside, these towels are unbelievably cute and would double as a great personalized gift for a loved one. Memorial Day 2025 shopping guide: Find out when sales start, where to shop and more 3. This smushy lip balm has a pillowy-soft feel When I hear "smushy lip balm" I automatically think about the sacrificial lip gloss that gets (accidentally) left in my car every summer and winds up melting into a smoothie consistency. But this TikTok viral beauty product—aka the NYX Smushy Matte Lip Balm—is actually designed with a smushy composition in mind, as it provides a plusher coating for lips. My verdict? I've been embracing the smushy lip gloss trend for years—granted, accidentally and by way of Arizona's 100-plus degree summers. Regardless, you can bet I'm a fan. Summer savings: Shop top Walmart Memorial Day deals on outdoor furniture, appliances 4. Celebrities are obsessed with these ugly-doll bag charms Move over, Squishmallows—there's a new quirky toy in town, and this one comes in the form of a toothy monster accessory that's... cute? Terrifying? Sure to turn heads? Pop Mart Labubu Dolls have suddenly become the "It accessory of A-listers like Rihanna and Kim Kardashian. Given how quickly they sell out online, many TikTok users are scrambling to get their hands on them. My verdict? As frightening as these ugly-doll bag charms are, IMO, they aren't nearly as polarizing (or unforgivable) as the hoof shoes that are currently dominating fashion trends. Power to anyone who wants to sport this quirky accessory on their handbag (hi, Rihanna), but this might be the one TikTok trend I actually sit out. More: Celebrate 75 years of Peanuts with Moleskine's Limited Edition Peanuts Collection 5. Spice up your next wine night For TikTok's latest viral trend, users are dipping their toes (and tongues) into the spicy world of jalapeño wines—and actually enjoying it? This St. Clair Hatch Green Chile wine is one of the many popular options that's now trending on the app, as it packs a seriously fiery kick. In the words of the Y2K prophet Paris Hilton: "That's hot." (But literally.) My verdict? This wine gives a whole new meaning to "spicing up your bar cart," and as a gal with a pendant for hot flavors, how could I resist? Can't get enough? Follow USA TODAY Shopping on Instagram for shopping tips, trends, recommendations and more How to make okra water from TikTok Here's how to make the viral TikTok drink with okra. How do I determine TikTok's most viral products? There are a couple factors I take into consideration when narrowing down the best TikTok products on any given week, including: Which product categories are trending on TikTok? Is there an organic discourse surrounding individual items? Are there product reviews from shoppers that can support the hype surrounding a popular TikTok product? Understanding the functionality of an item—beyond just its virality—is critical in assessing its value, and I ensure that any products recommended here are also backed by USA Today Shopping editors, shoppers and boast no lower than a 4.0 average rating.

New York's ultimate open-air yoga studio is back. Bryant Park just announced the return of its wildly popular free yoga series, with sessions running from May 28 through September 17. Led by over 30 of the region's top instructors, each session offers a fresh flow, welcoming all skill levels and ages. Whether you're a seasoned vinyasa pro or a "what's a downward dog?" beginner, you're invited to stretch, sweat and find your zen in the heart of Midtown. Registration is required (and spots go fast), so snag yours early and don't forget to BYO mat and water. Mats are not provided, and trust us, you don't want to be the one practicing on bare concrete while your neighbor nails a headstand. This year, viral athleisure brand Halara is stepping in as the series' first-ever presenting partner, adding a splash of stylish flair to the already feel-good affair. Select sessions will feature branded giveaways to amp up the community vibes and keep you looking fresh while you work on your form. 'We are always delighted to see the lawn filled with a yoga class,' Daniel Biederman, Bryant Park Corporation's executive director, said in a release. 'What started with just a small group has grown into a community tradition.' Whether you're looking for a new workout routine or just want an excuse to wear that new matching set, Bryant Park Yoga is your midweek dose of peace, plank and pigeons—of both the pose and park variety.

What are ‘sweatpant jeans'? I tried the comfy trend that's all over the internet
Sweatpant jeans quick picks Viral sweatpant jeans: Rag & Bone Miramar Wide Leg Cotton Terry Sweatpant Jeans Sweatpants that look like jeans: Gap Heavyweight French Terry Baggy Jeans Jeans that feel like sweatpants: Halara Flex Rolled Hem Wide Leg Washed Stretchy Knit Casual Jeans Now that sweatpant jeans are on the scene, your next favorite pair of denim might not actually be denim at all. Sweatpant jeans are a fashion hybrid that combine all the comfort and the soft feel of sweatpants with the look of regular denim. According to stylist Katie Schuppler, sweatpant jeans are typically made with a terrycloth fabric that's printed and dyed to look like denim. Essentially, they're an optical illusion. The trend has garnered a lot of interest online, with fashion enthusiasts on TikTok singing their praises about sweatpant jeans. Rag & Bone's Miramar Fleece Terry Wide Leg Sweatpant Jeans are credited as the origin of the trend, with the $218 pants selling out repeatedly. Naturally, other brands released their own versions too. However, finding an affordable pair of sweatpant jeans isn't so straightforward. Some styles look closer to sweatpants than jeans, while others are made with ultra-comfortable denim but don't replicate the coziness of sweats. To help navigate this niche trend, I tried several sweatpant jeans and consulted Schuppler about the internet's most burning questions on the style. A post shared by CNN Underscored (@cnnunderscored) Jeans are notoriously tricky to shop for, but with sweatpant jeans, you don't have to worry about stiff denim with unflattering silhouettes. The biggest takeaway from the viral videos is how easy they are to wear. Sweatpants are usually reserved for lounging at home or for casual settings, while jeans can take on a more formal look. Since sweatpant jeans combine the best of both, you get all the comfort of sweats plus the versatility of denim. One TikTok compared wearing the Rag & Bone pants to 'pranking everybody' because they're so sneakily comfy. Schuppler says sweatpant jeans can be worn for 'running errands, a causal hang with friends or, depending on the level of dress of your workplace and where you work, worn on the job!' They also make for ideal travel pants and I'm already planning my next airport outfit around a pair of super stretchy jeans from Halara. Rag & Bone Miramar Wide Leg Cotton Terry Sweatpant Jeans Rag & Bone makes a whole line of 100% cotton terry sweatpant jeans, with a range of cuts and "washes." This pair features a convincing denim effect, complete with distressed dyeing and a faux five-pocket design — although two functional hidden pockets are included too. Gap Heavyweight French Terry Baggy Jeans These pants from Gap were the closest I tried in feel to the Rag & Bone sweatpant jeans. They are made with a soft cotton and recycled polyester blend that looks and feels like high-quality sweatpants. While they don't quite capture the denim look, the pull-on style does feature five pockets and belt loops to help pull off the jeans-adjacent effect. These ran a bit big, so I recommend sizing down. Gap Mid-Rise UltraSoft Baggy Jeans I love Gap jeans and have a couple pairs of this wide-leg style. They are a great option if you're looking for denim that is soft and fluid. While they don't look or feel exactly like sweatpants, they are lightweight and remarkably soft for a pair of jeans. Plus, they come in over 20 colors and multiple inseam lengths. Halara Flex Rolled Hem Wide Leg Washed Stretchy Knit Casual Jeans Halara's Flex line is fabricated with impressively comfy four-way stretch fabric that's just about as close as you can get to sweatpants while still being denim. This cuffed style is one that I'll be wearing all spring. They look a bit dressier than other baggy silhouettes but are so stretchy you'll forget you're wearing jeans. I tried the regular length, which were essentially full length on me at 5-foot 2-inches, so next time I'll opt for the petite sizing for the true cropped effect. They come in a tall length too. Halara Flex Baggy Wide Leg Washed Stretchy Knit Casual Jeans Rather than sweatpant jeans, these are more like denim sweatpants. I liked the convenience of the pull-on waist that lays flat, which gives a clean look, and they're made with Halara's Flex four-way stretch denim. Like the other style, they're available in regular, petite and tall lengths, plus they go up to a size 3X. Mewunan French Terry Sweatpant Jeans These Rag & Bone lookalikes from Amazon have the same trompe l'oeil denim effect with faux pockets printed onto the terry material and functional pockets hidden at the side. They're available in three colors and sizes XS to XXL. While the sizes are noted as long, refer to the size chart for exact measurements as they seem comparable to Gap's regular sizing. Good American Jeanius Good Skate Sweatpants Made with 100% cotton, these sweatpant jeans have a denim-like effect with a wide-leg fit and five pockets. The waistband doesn't have as much stretch as the Gap pair, but you'll get more classic look. The following FAQs have been answered by stylist Katie Schuppler and the writer, Sophie Shaw. Are sweatpant jeans as comfortable as yoga pants? Are sweatpant jeans as comfortable as yoga pants? Sweatpant jeans and yoga pants achieve two very different effects style-wise, but they share one main factor: comfort. Both should offer plenty of stretch and allow you to move freely, however, sweatpant jeans typically have a loose fit through the legs, while yoga pants hug the figure. If you're usually more comfortable in traditional sweatpants, then sweatpant jeans are more aligned with that type of comfort level. How do you style sweatpant jeans? How do you style sweatpant jeans? According to Schuppler, the best way to style sweatpant jeans is to pair them with a fitted top to balance the proportions. Since sweatpant jeans are typically a baggy fit, opting for a fitted T-shirt or top will prevent you from drowning in the clothes. 'A fitted tee or bodysuit on top, with or without a little jacket or fitted cardigan, and paired with a leather sneaker or a slight heel depending on where you are going would pull the look together,' Schuppler says. Should you size up or size down sweatpant jeans? Should you size up or size down sweatpant jeans? While size and fit vary with each brand, I recommend taking your true size or sizing down with most sweatpant jeans. If the style has a pull-on elastic waistband or is made with a terry material, the fit will be a bit more forgiving and there will be room to size down, based on my testing. Styles that are made from stretch denim and have a waistband that fastens with a fly and button closure will fit closer to a regular pair of pants and you can opt for your usual size. For this article, we consulted the following stylist to gain their professional insights on the sweatpant jeans trend. Katie Schuppler, Chicago-based wardrobe stylist, personal shopper and founder of KS Style Consulting CNN Underscored has a team of skilled writers and editors who have many years of experience testing, researching and recommending products, and they ensure each article is carefully edited and products are properly vetted. We talk to top experts when relevant to make certain we are testing each product accurately, recommending only the best products and considering the pros and cons of each item. For this article, beauty and fashion editor Sophie Shaw tested various styles being marketed as sweatpant jeans and consulted a professional stylist about the trend.
