Ex-Liverpool man reacts to Ben Doak Celtic return suggestion

The winger's future is currently up in the air as he enters the final year of his contract at Anfield. Doak spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough, where he scored three goals and assisted seven in 24 appearances across all competitions. Read more: Hamann, who spent seven years on Merseyside, recently reacted to a suggestion that Doak could return to Celtic, the club he initially joined Liverpool from in 2022. Speaking to CasinoHawks, who have the latest casino sites, Hamann said: "Ben Doak's future depends on what Liverpool are planning for him because at his age, he needs to be playing. "If he goes to Celtic, I think he's pretty sure to probably start because Nicolas Kuhn went to Como. "I think Celtic is a fantastic club. But, in terms of progression as a player, the Premier League is probably the better place because he will get tested every week, more than he does in the Scottish league. "If Leeds really see him as one of the first 13 or 14 players, if he doesn't start, then he's one at least of the first ones to come on, then as a player, I would probably lean towards Leeds."

Shopware Launches Agentic Commerce Alliance Designed to Shape a Diverse, Autonomous Future

SCHÖPPINGEN and COLOGNE, Germany, July 10, 2025 /CNW/ -- Shopware, the leading global open-source ecommerce platform, today announced the creation of The Agentic Commerce Alliance in Europe, positioned as a proactive response to the current AI landscape poised to disrupt the digital commerce ecosystem. "The Agentic Commerce Alliance is a strategic commitment to preserving a diverse, competitive, and innovative digital marketplace where AI technology amplifies, rather than diminishes, the uniqueness and humanity of commerce," said Stefan Hamann, CEO, Shopware. As AI agents increasingly handle autonomous transactions within split-second decision windows, traditional concepts of brand identity, customer loyalty, and merchant differentiation are at risk of becoming obsolete. Without deliberate intervention, this centralized AI-driven commerce landscape could reduce merchants to mere commodities, eroding diversity, innovation, and consumer choice. "The paradigm is shifting rapidly toward a world where bots, rather than humans, dominate commerce interactions. Tech giants like OpenAI, Amazon, and Google are positioned to become the dominant Commerce Hubs that can handle the entirety of transaction cycles from payments to verification," said Hamann. The alliance has two primary goals: Ensure merchants can survive in the Bot Economy: The alliance will establish open, interoperable standards that empower merchants of any size to participate in agent-to-agent commerce without surrendering control to centralized AI platforms. By creating frameworks for experience differentiation, AI Agents will gain access to more than just price including customer service quality, brand trustworthiness, product expertise, and community alignment. Leverage AI for meaningful differentiation: By enabling merchants to retain distinct brand identities and value propositions that resonate beyond purely transactional decision-making, the Alliance will drive innovation with hyper-personalization, immersive 3D shopping experiences, frictionless automation, and expert-level customer support. The urgency of this initiative is underscored by the impressive roster of industry partners already onboard. Alongside Shopware, which pioneered the first AI Copilot with OpenAI in early 2022, the alliance includes 15 other leading industry players across diverse sectors. Shopware powers over 55,000 B2C and B2B merchants worldwide, exemplifying the transformative potential and practical viability of agentic commerce. "Joining the Agentic Commerce Alliance reflects a strong commitment to shaping the future of digital commerce. We believe it belongs to those who fuse technology with brand identity. Agentic Commerce isn't just a trend - it's a long-term vision to democratize commerce, where AI empowers brands of all sizes to thrive, "said Borys Skraba, CCO, Strix Group.

£50m star told to reject Chelsea transfer and join Man Utd

Dietmar Hamann has urged one of Enzo Maresca's top summer transfer targets to reject Chelsea in favour of a move to Manchester United. Chelsea made England U21 striker Liam Delap their first summer signing in a £30m deal from Ipswich Town. Maresca is keen to strengthen his squad in several other areas and has identified Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens as a top target. Gittens, 20, has a brief spell at Stamford Bridge as a youth player before being signed by Dortmund in 2020. The fellow England U21 star has since made over 100 appearances for Dortmund and was one of the most in-form players in the Bundesliga during the first-half of last season. Wake up to find news on your club in your inbox every morning with Metro's Football Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your team in the link so we can send you football news tailored to you. Gittens' form tailed away in the second-half of the campaign but Chelsea are nevertheless determined to welcome him to Stamford Bridge this summer. Chelsea view Gittens as an ideal replacement for Jadon Sancho, who they sent back to Manchester United for a price of £5m after failing to agree terms over a permanent transfer. Borussia Dortmund have already rejected two bids from Chelsea and want a fee as close as possible to Gittens' £50.5m release clause. Ex-Germany midfielder Hamann expects Gittens to be on the move this summer but believes he should reject Chelsea in favour of a move to Manchester United. Like Maresca, Ruben Amorim is also keen to sign a new winger this summer as he prepares to offload Marcus Rashford, Sancho and Antony. Given the number of winger departures at Old Trafford, Hamann says Gittens could 'make a real difference' at Manchester United, who finished just 15th in the Premier League last season. 'Borussia Dortmund has been a great place for Jamie Gittens,' Hamann told InstantWithdrawalBettingSites. 'He played a huge role and scored goals and got assists but that stopped when [Dortmund manager] Niko Kovac came in. More Trending 'Chelsea will be fully aware of that, the player has made it clear he wants to leave but he is under contract. 'I would say that Dortmund are not in the strongest position because the manager wants hardworking players and Gittens isn't that type of player. 'I think he will leave Dortmund but they won't get the money they want. 'Chelsea have an abundance of players, but I think he could make a real difference at Manchester United. He is young but he has stood out and I think that might be the player for them to chase.' For more stories like this, check our sport page. Shopware presents new product innovations: Agentic Commerce and B2B solutions for complex business models

SCHÖPPINGEN, Germany, June 17, 2025 /CNW/ -- Today, Shopware introduced Agentic Commerce and new AI-driven solutions shaping the future of e-commerce, placing a stronger focus on AI while furthering their expansion into B2B. The keynote emphasized why—when faced with challenges and uncertainties—merchants require a reliable technology partner to meet the demands of today and plan for tomorrow. Shopware AI Sebastian Hamann, Co CEO, introduced Shopware AI based on human shopping behavior: "On the one hand, there are rational purchasing decisions, based on need and fact-based analysis. On the other, emotional decisions, driven by feelings, impulses, and subconscious factors. The future of digital commerce begins where AI meets real merchant needs." Shopware AI combines both, encompassing all AI-powered features, from image and text editing to tools that enhance the shopping experience and the new chat-based Copilot. This assistant supports merchants managing routine tasks, ultimately saving time for customer service or strategic work. The AI-powered Image Editor, a new function, allows merchants to easily place products into scenes with realistic shadows and reflections, resulting in high-quality campaign images which are automatically uploaded into the Shopware Media Manager and ready to be utilized. Agentic Commerce Agentic Commerce enables intelligent agents to handle decisions, shortening the sales cycle from quote to purchase. Shopware AI aims to increase revenue, lower integration costs, create differentiated shopping experiences, and drive monetization. The launch of the Copilot is the first step, with further features like AI Agents to follow soon. Shopware also announced the "Agentic Commerce Alliance," bringing together AI-first companies to establish common standards and share practical AI patterns. Some well-known partners are already on board. B2B Components Over 60% of Shopware's merchants operate in B2B or hybrid models- including companies like Toyota and Ritter Sport. "Complex Commerce is becoming reality—and Shopware powers it," Hamann said. New 'B2B Components' support growth at every stage, including: Organization Units: Define parameters like shipping addresses or payment methods to reduce manual errors. Advanced Product Catalogs: Create custom product catalogs for faster quote processes. The Community Hub The open-source model remains a strategic advantage which is why Shopware introduced the Community Hub to strengthen collaboration: Knowledge sharing: Gamified content helps users learn faster. Collaboration: Developer productivity has tripled. Networking: Connects members across all levels.

Although German players have enjoyed success at Without the reign of Klopp, the club he left last year would almost certainly not have been in a position to buy one of the best young players in the world. READ MORE IN FOOTBALL Before Klopp could turn Liverpool into winners of the biggest prizes again, he had to change the club's culture. Zeitgeist is the German word that usually refers to the spirit and philosophy of a particular historical era. In Klopp's case, he combined his homeland's trend for gegenpressing, high-energy, attacking football with his unique gifts as a man-manager to transform the Reds. When he left Anfield last summer after nearly nine years in charge, he had led Liverpool to English, European and world titles, plus three domestic cups. And Wirtz, who is yet to reach his prime, is the man they hope will play a big part in Although Liverpool fans will find it hard to keep a lid on it, the older ones will know not to get too carried away. The first big German star to come to Anfield was Karl Heinz-Riedle, fresh from scoring twice as Borussia Dortmund beat Juventus 3-1 in the 1997 Champions League final. But the emergence of Michael Owen restricted the striker's appearances and he left after two seasons. Sean Dundee, an even less-heralded centre-forward, came and went before Dietmar Hamann became the first big German success story at Liverpool. With countrymen Markus Babbel and Christian Ziege, Hamann was part of an extraordinary year under Gerard Houllier in 2001. The Reds won both domestic cups and lifted the Uefa Cup after a 5-4 golden goal win over Alaves. If you count the Community Shield and Uefa Super Cup — and back then Liverpool did — it was five trophies in a calendar year. But while Ziege and then Babbel moved on after good but not brilliant stays at Anfield, Hamann stuck around. 9 Christian Ziege had a solid spell at Anfield Credit: Getty 9 Markus Babbel was another German success story Credit: News Group Newspapers Ltd And boss Rafa Benitez brought the defensive midfielder on at half-time of the 2005 Champions League final against AC Milan, with his side 3-0 down. Although others stole the headlines, Hamann's display was crucial in the greatest comeback in the competition's history. And like a typical German, he also scored Liverpool's first penalty in the shootout that sealed victory — all with a broken toe. The first Bayer Leverkusen wonderkid to join Liverpool arrived in 2012, 13 years before Wirtz. But injuries played a big part in forward Samed Yesil struggling to make an impact and he left after just two League Cup appearances. The next Leverkusen prodigy, Emre Can, fared better. He arrived in 2014, a year and a bit before Klopp, and under his countryman finished a runner-up in the League Cup, Europa League and Champions League. After the latter heartbreak against Real Madrid, Can went to Juventus on a free and enjoyed success there. Goalkeeper Loris Karius was the only senior Germany player ever signed by Klopp, but he was never the same after two awful mistakes in that final with Real. After being poleaxed by Sergio Ramos early in the game, the dazed keeper rolled the ball straight to Karim Benzema to open the scoring. Sadio Mane equalised, then Gareth Bale produced a worldie overhead kick before Karius let a more saveable Bale strike from distance go through his hands. Karius finally left Anfield in 2022 after three loan spells. His two seasons at Newcastle included a Carabao Cup final defeat and he is back in Germany in Bundesliga 2 with Schalke.
