During the signing ceremony, Hamid Rashid Al Shamsi, Advisor for Development and International Cooperation and ERC Representative in Hadramaut Governorate, reiterated the authority's commitment to ensuring the success of the project. He explained that the initiative aims to strengthen the bonds of social solidarity. He stressed that it will bring relief and happiness to hundreds of families, embodying the UAE's long-standing tradition of compassion and giving, particularly during Eid al-Adha. ERC teams will distribute the sacrificial meat across Hadhramaut's districts, giving priority to families facing hardships- including orphans, those with limited income, and people of determination. The initiative forms part of the ERC's ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts in the governorate, aimed at improving living conditions and reinforcing the values of giving and solidarity within the community.

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) launched its annual charitable project in the Yemeni city of Al Mukalla, Hadhramaut Governorate on Tuesday, to distribute Eid clothing to children with special needs, orphans, and the most underprivileged families. This initiative is part of the United Arab Emirates' efforts in Hadhramaut to alleviate the hardships of citizens and bring smiles to their faces. The project will continue until the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan. Hamid Rashid Al Shamsi, Advisor for Development and International Cooperation and ERC Representative in Hadhramaut Governorate, stated to the media: 'We are pleased to announce the launch of the 'Eid Clothing' project in Hadhramaut for 2024 as part of the UAE's ongoing efforts to support needy families and spread joy and happiness on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.' Al Shamsi emphasised that the project aims to provide Eid clothing to 7,525 beneficiaries, distributing 1,075 shopping vouchers, each valued at Dhs200, which can be used in various shopping centres across the governorate. The goal is to ease the financial burden on families and bring happiness and joy to the hearts of the beneficiaries. Recently, the ERC had launched its annual Ramadan Iftar Project in Al Mukalla, as part of the UAE's ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts for the Yemeni people. ERC distributes 3k food baskets in Hadhramaut Governorate

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) continues to implement its humanitarian and relief projects in Hadhramaut Governorate during Ramadan by providing support to families and promoting values of cooperation and solidarity within the community. This is part of the ERC's ongoing efforts to support the most vulnerable groups and enhance food security during the holy month. Thus far the ERC team distributed 3,130 food baskets out of a total of 8,000 Ramadan food aid baskets during the first half of Ramadan, benefiting 40,000 individuals across various areas in Hadhramaut. Supporting fasting individuals has also been a significant part of these efforts, with 11,778 Iftar meals distributed out of a planned 20,000 meals, along with 5,857 pre-Iftar snack meals out of 9,548 meals across various areas in Hadhramaut. The meals were distributed through 26 designated sites. Advisor for Development and International Cooperation and the ERC's representative in the governorate, Hamid Rashid Al Shamsi, emphasised that the projects implemented by the ERC during Ramadan include food basket distributions and Iftar meals for fasting individuals, ensuring that assistance reaches the most vulnerable families.
