Britain's Got Talent's biggest grand final shocks from Susan Boyle's breakdown to on-stage injuries and fan fix rows
See what caused Susan Boyle to storm out of a hotel brit's got shocks Britain's Got Talent's biggest grand final shocks from Susan Boyle's breakdown to on-stage injuries and fan fix rows THE Britain's Got Talent final is almost upon us, so let's take a look back at some of the biggest shocks from past years. ITV has confirmed the Britain's Got Talent: Live Final will take place on Saturday May 31 at the Hammersmith Apollo in West London. 6 Loren Allred and Sydnie Christmas have faced plenty of backlash on BGT Credit: Shutterstock Editorial The extra-long show will air from 7pm until 9.45pm on ITV1, giving plenty of opportunity to create more shocking moments we've come to expect from a BGT final. From Susan Boyle's meltdown to serious injuries happening on live TV, lets look back at some of the most outrageous times on a BGT final. Sydnie's Big Win 6 Sydnie Christmas won BGT in 2024 Credit: Rex One of the most recent BGT controversies happened last year when Sydnie Christmas was crowned the winner in the 2024 final. Even though she was a receptionist at a gym working on a zero-hour contract while competing on BGT, viewers were incensed that she'd had already a brief career in music. Before Britain's Got talent, the singer appeared in E4's reality show Stage School. Amanda's Threads 6 BGT fans love to complain about Amanda's outfits Credit: ITV Every year, a number of fans moan about what judge Amanda Holden wears during the final, with some even complaining to media regulator, Ofcom. One racy outfit in 2017, managed to rack up 663 to Ofcom and last year complained her final outfit showed too much cleavage and she seemed "half undressed." Amanda joked about the reaction to her sexy fits in an interview with The Sun. 'I have a whole 't*t committee' [in the production team] that watches everything [ to prevent 'accidents']," she said in February. "Hopefully they'll keep an eye on Bruno's t*ts as well, because I think he shows far more than I do at the moment!' BGT: Susan Boyle sings I Dreamed A Dream Onstage Injury 6 A member of South Korean martial arts troupe suffered an injury on live TV Credit: Rex Another shocking moment that happened during a BGT final last year occurred when a member of the Ssaulabi Performance Troupe was rushed to hospital after colliding with a fellow performer during a mesmerising martial arts routine. The South Korean taekwondo artist was pictured limping into an ambulance after making a quick exit from London's Hammersmith Apollo. He later shared a photo of his leg in a metal brace, held together by all manner of pins and covered in bandaging. Susan's Unhappy State 6 International sensation, Susan Boyle, was unimpressed with Simon Cowell's compliments Credit: ITV One of the icons of BGT is Susan Boyle, whose captivating voice made her an international star. The Scottish singer shocked guests at a plush hotel in London by bursting into a jealous rage during a BGT semi-final. The church-going 63-year-old year old became furious when her favourite judge, Piers Morgan, complimented fellow contestant Shaheen Jafargholi instead of her. As Piers declared the Welsh schoolboy's act as "the finest singing performance we have witnessed in the semi-finals thus far," Susan - who admitted she had a crush on Piers - stuck two fingers up at the telly and shouted 'f***off'. Fix Rows 6 Loren Allred was a controversial Gold Buzzer winner Credit: Rex Much like complaints about Amanda's outfits, BGT is often plagued with accusations of 'fixing' the show to favour the judges' preferred contestants. This was none more apparent in 2022 when American singer, Loren Allred, was given a coveted Golden Buzzer during her first appearance on the show. She had a stellar singing history prior to appearing on the ITV show which included stints on The Voice and The Greatest Showman. The Sun revealed how Loren found major success in the US after singing the anthem Never Enough in global hit movie The Greatest Showman. Yet it has now come to light how she also received expert assistance from Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine while on The Voice. She even competed to win a recording contract on the US version of the talent show in 2012, telling the coaches her occupation was 'pianist and wedding singer'. Loren defended her experience in the music industry - insisting: "I am an unsigned, independent artist still trying to make a name for myself.' Loren said: 'Even though I have spent a lot of years in the music industry, people don't know who I am. Over all these years I've been fighting for my chance to be known and to make it.

Britain's Got Talent's biggest 'fix' rows Britain's Got Talent has been plagued with 'fix' rows over the years. How many of these do you remember? Jasmine Elcock - 2016: Teenage singer Jasmine Elcock stunned the nation with her version of Cher's Believe. But it then transpired she had already performed professionally in London's West End. Jasmine, 14, admitted: "I've performed in Annie in the West End at about the age of nine or 10, but I really get nervous." IrShad Shaikh - 2017: BGT fans were left questioning the rule book when IrShad Shaikh auditioned. He got four red buzzers from the judges, which would usually mean an instant dismissal. Yet in a strange turn of events, they let him continue with his put him through to the next round. Colin Thackery - 2019: Elderly war veteran Colin won BGT in 2019, but there was an outcry over the final. He warbled his place to win with a version of We'll Meet Again but fans were furious that escapologist Jonathan Goodwin didn't even rank in the top three. Viewers felt Jonathan - who almost suffocated while being buried alive in a gravel pit - should have won. Axel Blake - 2022: Comedian Axel Blake was given a Golden Buzzer in 2022 after making the judges laugh. But fans were fuming when they discovered Axel already had a show on worldwide streaming platform Amazon Prime. Despite this, Axel still went on to win the series. Taryn Charles - 2024: Singer Taryn Charles is one of this year's hopefuls lucky enough to receive the Golden Buzzer. Bruno Tonilio put her straight through to the semi-finals following her performance of (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin, but it has now come to light that she is no stranger to TV. Viewers recognised Taryn from an episode of ITV1's Starstruck, where she impersonated Whitney Houston for judges Olly Murs, Sheridan Smith, Adam Lambert and Beverley Knight.

Britain's Got Talent grand final date CONFIRMED as ITV reveal details for bumper movie-length event
BRITAIN'S Got Talent fans will need to stock up on popcorn as this year's final is going to be a bumper movie-length show. Bosses at ITV have now confirmed the date for the hotly-anticipated live final - and it is going to be a good one. 4 4 The Britain's Got Talent: Live Final will run for a whopping two hours and 45 minutes. Fans will be given their chance throughout the night to vote for who they want to see crowned the winner. Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli will be on hand to give their final thoughts - as will KSI. The Sun has revealed the influencer would be returning to BGT for both this weekend's live semi-final show and the Live Final. KSI previously stood in for Bruno while he was filming Dancing With The Stars in the US, and for Simon following the tragic death of One Direction star Liam Payne. This year's BGT: Live Final will take place on Saturday May 31 at the Hammersmith Apollo in West London. It has now been confirmed the extra-long show will air from 7pm until 9.45pm on ITV1. This year's full list of finalists is yet to be confirmed but one BGT star has dropped his biggest hint yet that he will be there. Max Fox was eliminated a nail-biting semi-final, having previously been given the chance to audition after begging Simon to let him have a go. The singer had shouted to Simon from his seat in the audience during a break in auditions. Britain's Got Talent branded a 'fix' by fuming viewers after 'wrong act' gets through to finals The crowd even demanded a Golden Buzzer moment and Amanda obliged. But Max missed out on a place in the final after coming second in the public vote during a live semi-final. He had belted out My Way for a second time and his performance prompted Simon and Amanda to get to their feet and give him a standing ovation. Despite being voted out, Max has dropped a big clue that he will be making a surprise comeback on May 31. Max has touted the idea of him being brought to the Live Final as a wildcard performance. Following his elimination from BGT, he wrote on Instagram: 'What a ride! 😍 'Last night my Britain's Got Talent journey came to an end - but I've never felt prouder. 'From standing in the audience with a dream in my heart… to singing on that stage in front of millions, this experience has been nothing short of life-changing. I've waited 19 years for that moment - and every second of it was worth it. 'To everyone who voted, shared kind words, and believed in me - thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support has meant more than you'll ever know. 'This might be the end of BGT for now… or maybe not - wildcard, anyone?' 4 4

KSI is set to come back as a judge on Britain's Got Talent this week. He will return to join Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli on this Saturday's live semi-final show on ITV. 4 4 The Sun revealed he would also be appearing on the show's live final on May 31, at the Hammersmith Apollo in West London. KSI will be taking to the stage to perform his new single, Catch Me If You Can. A TV insider said: 'KSI was a huge hit when he appeared as a judge in the audition rounds.
