Hibs vs Rangers LIVE SCORE: Barry Ferguson picks likely last Gers team as Gray's men look to finish with a flourish

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) HIBS take on Rangers on Saturday in what looks all but certain to be interim boss Barry Ferguson's last game in charge of the Ibrox outfit. It will ultimately culminate in a bitterly disappointing season for the Gers who trail their rivals Celtic by a mammoth 17 points. But there is hope with the takeover by the American consortium nearing completion and a massive rebuild at the club to come. Rangers go into this match on the back of a 3-1 win over Dundee United where a Cyriel Dessers double - his 27th and 28th of the season - struggled to lift the mood of despondency around Govan. In stark contrast, Hibs are jubilant after lifting themselves up from rock bottom of the Scottish Premiership in December to sealing third and guaranteed European football next season. It's been a remarkable run under David Gray and part of that success is down to their formidable home form at Easter Road, with their last defeat coming against St Mirren in November. Since then they've won nine of 11 home games including victories over Celtic and fierce rivals Hearts, and the last time these two sides met at Easter Road they served up a six-goal thriller in January. Martin Boyle scored twice that day and he will once again be the man to watch for the hosts after an impressive season and his future still uncertain. He notched his 19th goal in their 2-2 draw with St Mirren on Wednesday and netted in the last meeting against Rangers in a 2-0 win at Ibrox in April. For Rangers, Nico Raskin has arguably been one ray of light in a disappointing season and he will be pivotal if the visitors are to win on Saturday. What time does Hibs vs Rangers kick off? Igamane Linked with Champions League Hopefuls Strasbourg

Strasbourg are exploring a move for Morocco international Hamza Igamane as the French club prepares for a potential European campaign next season. The 22-year-old has impressed in his first season with Rangers, scoring 16 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions. His form has attracted interest from several clubs, including Tottenham, Sevilla, and Marseille, according to reports in France. Strasbourg, who sit sixth in Ligue 1 ahead of the final round of fixtures, remain in contention for a top-four finish and a place in the Champions League play-off round. Managed by Liam Rosenior and part of Todd Boehly's BlueCo ownership group, the club is expected to be active in the summer transfer market. Dutch striker Emanuel Emegha is likely to depart, and Igamane is reportedly among the names being considered to replace him. Igamane is under contract at Rangers until 2029, and the club are expected to demand a significant fee for the Moroccan forward, who joined from FAR Rabat in 2023 for a reported $2.5m The Scottish club, currently undergoing ownership changes and without a permanent head coach, are thought to be reluctant to sell unless a substantial offer is made. Igamane made his senior debut for Morocco earlier this season. In a statement in January, he said: 'Like any Moroccan footballer, my dream is to wear the national team shirt. I also want to help my club as much as I can, and eventually play for a big club in Europe.' He was also part of Morocco's title-winning squad at the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations and is in contention for a senior call-up for the upcoming international fixtures against Benin, Tunisia, and Congo-Brazzaville.

Rangers star Hamza Igamane eyed by new club as race heats up

Hamza Igamane's form for Gers exploded midway through the season after an initial settling in period and, as well as endearing him to supporters, that also put him on the radar of interested clubs. Premier League giants such as Newcastle, Everton and Tottenham were all quoted after the Moroccan scored against the latter during a 1-1 draw in the Europa League. The form of the 22-year-old dipped, and he appeared to struggle when played at left wing at times, but his quality is not in question and he has started to show it again in recent games, particularly with a beautiful goal in the win over Aberdeen. But now Strasbourg are the latest to show an interest, according to French journalist Mohamed Toubache-Ter. He made a post on social media, which translates to: "Strasbourg is on all fronts. Red-hot scorching on the international Moroccan, none other than Hamza Igamane." The Ligue 1 side are managed by Englishman Liam Rosenior and owned buy the same company as Chelsea, BlueCo. So they have deep pockets and Rangers would likely be demanding a hefty fee for their prized asset, for whom they paid just £1.7million a year ago.

Champions League-chasing French side Strasbourg have emerged as a serious suitor for Rangers striker Hamza Igamane, according to reports in France. Igamane has impressed during his first season at Rangers, scoring 16 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions. His form at Ibrox has won him international recognition with Morocco and now the 22-year-old is becoming a wanted man on the continent. And now it is Ligue 1 side Strasbourg are being heavily touted for the former AS FAR hitman. Hamza Igamane has scored 16 goals for Rangers this season. | SNS Group Strasbourg have impressed in Ligue 1 this season and ahead of their final match of the season against Le Havre, they still harbour ambitions of breaking into the top four and qualifying for the 2025/26 Champions League. Liam Rosenior's side currently sit sixth and in the Conference League positions, but are level on 57 points with fifth-placed Lille and fourth-placed Nice. Should they better their results against Brest and Reims respectively on Saturday night, then they will enter the Champions League in the play-off round. It would be a remarkable achievement for a club that just a few years ago were languishing in Ligue 2. They are part of Todd Boehly's BlueCo stable and hold ambitions of being one of the major players in French football. Under former Hull boss Rosenior this season, they have impressed and recently defeated Champions League finalists Paris Saint-Germain. Strasbourg have held a long-term interest in Nantes forward Matthis Abline but in recent weeks, their interest in Igamane has risen and should they qualify for the Champions League, they would be able to launch a sizeable bid. Heavy Strasbourg interest in Igamane According to respected French journalist Mohamed Toubache-Ter, Igamane is now firmly on a shortlist of strikers Strasbourg will look to pursue over the next few weeks in what could be a busy transfer window at the Stade de la Meinau. Igamane is contracted to Rangers until the summer of 2029 and would require a significant transfer fee to tempt Rangers into selling. While the Ibrox outfit is currently in some flux with the impending takeover from Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers Enterprises, plus the lack of a permanent head coach, it is understood that there is a reluctance to let one of their prized assets move unless serious recompense is involved.

Champions League hopefuls with Chelsea link ‘hot' on Rangers' Hamza Igamane who could end up FACING Gers in qualifying

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) RANGERS already face one potential transfer headache this summer over standout midfielder Nicolas Raskin. And they could now face another after reports in France linked another top Ibrox performer with a move abroad. Sign up for the Rangers newsletter Sign up 3 Igamane put in a sparkling show against Nice Credit: Willie Vass 3 Liam Rosenior is doing a great job with Strasbourg Credit: Getty 3 Hamza Igamane celebrates his winning goal for Rangers Credit: Willie Vass That man is Hamza Igamane, with journalist Mohamed Toubache-Ter telling his 83,000 followers on X that Strasbourg are 'hot' on Rangers' mercurial Moroccan. Igamane has been a revelation this season with 16 goals in 47 appearances for the Gers. While the 22-year-old has been inconsistent at times, he's produced some incredible moments this season - including a stunning Europa League performance away to Nice and that sublime Old Firm winner against Celtic. And that has brought him to the attention of ambitious Strasbourg, who are part of the same BlueCo company which run Chelsea. They've not been shy when it comes to snapping up some of the best talents in the football world - and we told you last month how they're also scouting Motherwell prodigy Lennon Miller. Toubache-Ter said: "Strasbourg is on all fronts!!! "Hot and hot on the Moroccan international in the person of Hamza Igamane!!" They're under the charge of Liam Rosenior, who has extended his contract at the club until June 2028, and this has already been a historic season for the club. They currently sit SIXTH in the Ligue 1 table but they're level on points with two other teams and know that FOURTH would be enough for a place in Champions League qualifying. That could potentially leave Igamane standing in Rangers' path to the £40m riches of the Champions League 'league' phase - should the Gers sanction the deal. Leon Balogun says Rangers team-mate Hamza Igamane reminds him of Didier Drogba Everton boss David Moyes is also thought to be an admirer of the player. Igamane only signed last summer from AS FAR in his homeland of Morocco for a fee of around £2.5m and has a contract that runs until 2029. He's clearly one of the Gers' prized assets but incoming Ibrox directors Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe of 49ers Enterprises could have a major decision to make on his future should a sixeable bid comes in.
