He can choose to set a special election to fill the remaining time in the term, which would last through the end of 2026. That would include choosing a date for the election, likely in November. Memorial ceremony held for Hank Rotten, Jr.
JOPLIN, Mo. — Friends and family gathered today to celebrate the life of Four States legend Tom Perry, better known by his stage name, Hank Rotten, Jr. PREVIOUS: Four State legend Hank Rotten Jr. passes away Dozens attended Hank's memorial ceremony this afternoon at Cycle Connection in Joplin. It's a place co-owner Nancy Hutson says was special to Hank, who had a love for motorcycles. A lifelong fixture of radio and TV in the Four States, Hank was also well-known in the motorcycle rally capital of Sturgis, South Dakota, where he served as the Master of Ceremonies for the 'Buffalo Chip' Campground for 35 years. Hank's friends say many people have reached out to share memories since he passed away on April 20. 'Hank's life affected so many people in this community, actually not just this community, but everywhere. Nationwide. He was such a kind, loving, giving, compassionate man that it's just hard to explain in words. The impact he had on so many lives. Um, he loved to have fun. He liked to make a joke and entertain but he also loved, and loved big,' said Nancy Hutson, Cycle Connection Owner. On June 14, the 'Hank Rotten Memorial Ride' will leave Cycle Connection at 12:30, ending with a reception at the Carthage VFW. The event will be full of music and fun, just like Hank, with money raised going toward the Perry-Thomas Foundation to help veterans, animals, and children. Hutson says the plan is to make the ride an annual tradition. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.
