A "do not eat" warning has been issued for the items of the major UK food store after allergy risks were not mentioned. The recall affects four-packs with a best-before date of 2 June 2025. And the Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned the product could be dangerous for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to barley, which contains gluten. Shoppers are being urged not to eat the rolls and return them to any Iceland store, where they'll receive a full refund – no receipt needed. Point-of-sale notices are being displayed in all Iceland stores to alert customers about the recall. It comes as Haribo has recalled packets of sweets in the Netherlands found to contain cannabis. It was reportedly discovered when a family fell ill after eating Happy Cola F!ZZ and contacted the police. An investigation into the alleged incident has now been launched, according to a spokesperson for the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA). The authority confirmed that "samples were taken and cannabis was found in them". "We immediately contacted Haribo and they issued a safety warning," a spokesperson said. PSA: Haribo Gummies Recalled Due To Cannabis Contamination

Haribo, the popular brand behind some of your favorite gummies like Goldbears, Twin Snakes, and Happy Cola is in a bit of a sticky situation over in the EU. A handful of customers in the Netherlands who consumed Haribo Happy Cola F!ZZ gummies reported health issues, including dizziness, after eating the treats. According to local police, two parents brought in a bag of the gummies after their young children became sick after consuming them. After testing, authorities discovered that the gummies contained cannabis. The gummies come in several different size bags—however only 1kg bags with a use-by date of January 2026 and production code L341-4002307906 are affected in the recall. Haribo stated that it would provide a full refund for all affected bags that are returned. As of now, it appears that only a limited number of cases of the Happy Cola F!ZZ gummies have been contaminated, but the company has pulled all of the products from shelves in the country out of an abundance of caution. 'The safety of our consumers is our highest priority, and Haribo takes this incident very seriously, which is why a recall has been issued in the Netherlands,' the company stated. The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) cautioned consumers, 'Do not eat these sweets. For now, though, U.S. Haribo fans can keep munching worry-free.
