Katie Holmes And Joshua Jackson Are Back Together After 22 Years – And Fans Are Obsessed

The news that Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson are working together again, 22 years after the final episode of Dawson's Creek , has sent fans on a nostalgia trip. The pair are teaming up for Katie's new film Happy Hours, which she is writing, directing and starring. Joshua has joined the cast alongside Mary-Louise Parker, Constance Wu, Joe Tippett, John McGinty, Donald Webber Jr, Nathan Darrow, Johanna Dias-Watson and Jack Martin. The film follows two people, played by Katie and Joshua, and their relationship as they navigate the challenges of their careers, family responsibilities and the pursuit of love. It's billed as a character-driven dramedy exploring the emotional journey of young loves who reconnect again as adults. Of course, those who have followed Katie and Joshua's careers and know that they dated during Dawson's Creek 's run in the late '90s, will think the plot sounds rather familiar. 'I am so very grateful to be working again with so many wonderful friends on this film Happy Hours ,' Katie announced. 'And working with Josh after so many years is a testament to friendship. Happy Hours is a love story that includes so many people I adore. We can't wait for everyone to see what we make.' Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson on the set of Happy Hour on 21 July. (Photo by Jason Howard/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images) Despite their on-screen characters Pacey and Joey having an on-off relationship throughout the show (and ultimately ending up together at the end), Katie and Joshua also dated in real life. The two actors dated for a year during the early days of Dawson's Creek between 1998 and 1999 and continued working together until 2003. Katie has described Joshua as her first love. Her relationship with musician Bobby Wooten III ended in December 2022 after eight months of dating. Prior to this, she was seeing chef Emilio Vitolo Jr in 2020. Of course, Katie's most notable relationship was with Tom Cruise, with whom she shares her daughter Suri. They married in 2006 and divorced in 2012. After this relationship, Katie was with actor Jamie Foxx for six years. Meanwhile, Joshua was married to British actress Jodie Turner-Smith between 2019 and 2023 and they welcomed a daughter in 2020. In December 2023, it was announced that Joshua was dating Lupita Nyong'o but the relationship ended the following October. Prior to this, Joshua was in a 10 year relationship with German actress Diane Kruger between 2006 and 2016. It is thought that he is currently single. All of this information is enough for Dawson's Creek fans to think it's time to buy a hat. 'Kids nowadays will never know the history makers Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes were. Their chemistry was so organic, real, palpable that the writers changed the storyline and wrote them as endgame despite that never being the plan,' reads on post on X. Another fan wrote, 'Katie Holmes literally said I am writing, directing and starring in my own movie trilogy this is so important. Who is the one person on this EARTH I will have the most chemistry possible with? And immediately called Joshua Jackson. Sick I am sick.' 'Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes filming together 20 years later I've prayed for times like these,' joked a third X user. 'When this becomes my entire personality don't even judge me.' A fourth picked up on the parallels between the plot and real life. 'Katie Holmes wrote a romcom about young lovers falling in love again as adults and the first person she thought to cast as the male lead was Joshua Jackson and unfortunately I will have to deal with this devastating information for the rest of my life.' ‘Happy Hour' Movie News: Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes Reunite

We are so back—back to the '90s, to be exact. Dawson's Creek fans, rise up because Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson are reuniting in a new movie, Happy Hour. Katie is writing, directing, and starring in the film, and that's not even the best part. Happy Hour is the first in a planned trilogy of films, which means we're about to get a whole lot more nostalgia coming our way. Don't wanna wait for more news? Say less. Here's everything we know about Happy Hour. On the off chance you don't know, Katie and Joshua famously worked together on Dawson's Creek for five seasons—from 1998-2003. They dated IRL off-screen and on-screen as Joey (Katie) and Pacey (Joshua) and became one of the most iconic TV couples of the late '90s and early aughts. So, yeah, seeing them finally reunite on screen is a pretty big deal. Katie announced the news on Instagram, writing in part, 'Working with Josh after so many years is a testament to friendship.' Fellow Dawson's Creek alum Busy Philipps commented on the post, 'we are seated. 👏👏👏.' According to Deadline, Happy Hour is a romantic dramedy about a couple—played by Katie and Joshua—who are 'navigating their relationship within the challenges of careers and family responsibilities and the pursuit of love, despite life's inevitable obstacles.' No, it's not an official Dawson's Creek sequel. But, the outlet did specify that the couple are 'young loves who reconnect as adults.' Sounds pretty Joey and Pacey coded to me! Katie and Joshua will be joined by Mary-Louise Parker, Constance Wu, Joe Tippett, John McGinty, Donald Webber Jr., Nathan Darrow, Johnna Dias-Watson, and Jack Martin. There's no word yet on when Happy Hour will hit theaters, but filming has officially begun, giving fans plenty of first look pics at Katie and Joshua walking through the streets of New York City, looking like Joey and Pacey together again. We'll be sure to update you when we have more news!

Visit These New England Spots For Caviar Indulgence

Caviar has been making inroads at restaurants for years now, as an indulgence that doesn't have to break the bank. I love it on everything from raw oysters to Twinkies (don't judge until you've tried it), and I think every day should be National Caviar Day, so read on for a few special spots to get your fix. Make a meal of caviar at The Banks Seafood & Steak happy hour. The Banks Happy hour Caviar Menu? Yes please! Served daily from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., it includes a rotating selection of $2 oysters that can be topped with caviar for an extra $5 per; as well as a Caviar Spoon, and everything from Ora King Salmon Tartare Cones to truffle fries, all topped with Osetra. For a perfect bar snack, order a couple of Chef David Standridge's beet-pickled deviled eggs –with the caviar bump add-on of course. Topped with a crispy clam strip and local fluke crudo, they are as gorgeous to look at as they are to eat. You can take your caviar experience to go at Lucky Cheetah. Lucky Cheetah At this upscale underground dumpling lounge, you can order a Caviar Tower, which includes 30 grams of Imperial Amur, accompanied by brown butter blini, lotus root, and crème fraîche. Or if you are more of a dabbler than a caviar fiend, you can order just the Caviar Tin Add-On, which includes 12 grams of caviar from local expert Browne Trading Company, fried lotus root and crème fraiche. Whichever one you choose, slather it on everything at this fun luxe spot– especially the Iberico pork soup dumplings. My only regret is that we didn't save any for our dessert course – I think caviar would have been divine on the coconut cake. Lucky Cheetah also offers a luxury at-home experience with their Caviar To-Go Box in partnership with Browne Trading, featuring 30 grams of premium Giaveri Siberian Caviar and a mother of pearl spoon, along with a split of Moët & Chandon Brut Champagne and two bags of potato chips to top with caviar. Oh, and a selection of handmade chocolates from Len Libby Candies in Scarborough, Maine. While I've never put caviar on chocolate, I'll try anything once. A mini caviar roll hits all the right notes at Saltie Girl. Saltie Girl Saltie Girl, Boston At this emporium to tinned fish, the caviar menu is vast and interesting. Caviar service comes with latkes, toast points, everything bun, crème fraiche, diced shallots, egg whites, egg yolks, and chives. But beyond that, you can enjoy their signature Mini Caviar Roll served on buttered brioche, Caviar Dip made with crème fraîche and served with house sea-salt potato chips, a Latke Waffle topped with caviar, or even burrata and caviar — another indulgence I've never tried but am longing for. Persimmon, Providence, Rhode Island Want a pure mouthful of the sea? It's layer-upon-layer-upon-layer of umami in Chef Champe Speidel's raw bar speciality: a Rhode Island oyster topped with Maine sea urchin, caviar and a tomato 'ponzu' sauce.
