Felix Mallard Auditioned For Outer Banks, Phone Call From Harry Styles
It's finally time, peaches! That's right, Ginny & Georgia is back with Season 3, and I've personally been anxiously waiting to binge-watch all of the new episodes. Ginny & Georgia Season 3 picks up after the explosive Season 2 finale cliffhanger, which saw Georgia get arrested for murder shortly after her wedding. Now, the Millers are in the town's spotlight more than they've ever been before. With Georgia navigating her new reality, Ginny is also trying to figure out where she stands, and if it can really still be Ginny and Georgia against the world. To celebrate the return of Ginny & Georgia, we had the cast — Antonia Gentry, Felix Mallard, Brianne Howey, and Sara Waisglass — compete against each other in a game of Cast Wars to see how well they really know each other behind the scenes. And let's just say this cast knows each other super well. Like, I love how much they love each other. Like, the cast revealed that Felix almost starred as John B in Outer Banks before Chase Stokes got the role. But, there were a few surprising facts they revealed that even surprised each other, like how in The Exorcist TV series, Brianne's mom was played by the iconic Geena Davis. Or how Harry Styles called Felix to let him know he booked the role of Cooper on Happy Together, which was a sitcom that was loosely based on Harry's experience living with producer Ben Winston. Sara knowing both the Harry Styles and John B facts just proves she is a true BFF. Felix recalled, "It was a sitcom loosely inspired by a time when [Harry] lived in Ben Winston's attic. And he was signed on as a producer, and I think Ben said, 'Harry, could you just call him and say...'" He said he suddenly got a call from an unknown number, picked up, and it was Harry. You can watch the full Cast Wars video with the Ginny & Georgia cast below: And be sure to watch Ginny & Georgia Season 3, which is streaming now on Netflix.

Generate Key Takeaways Another busy week with controversial movies, very uncontroversial movies, and something strange from Thom Yorke. Here are the movies you can catch around the Twin Cities this week. Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) Saturday, May 10, at The Parkway Theater Star Wars Day has come and gone, but, obviously, no holiday is required to get Star Wars fans out for the original. It's the second week of The Parkway's month-long run of movies from a galaxy far, far away. That's all we need to say, right? It's Star Wars. You know what you're getting. 4814 Chicago Ave., Minneapolis ($5–$7 in advance/$8–$10 at the door) Tall Tales (2025) Thursday, May 8, at The Main Cinema For one night, you can catch something you don't typically find on the big screen. Tall Tales is a new collaboration between record producer Mark Pritchard, Radiohead's Thom Yorke, and visual artist Jonathan Zawada. They're calling it a "visual album" that draws on synth-pop, prog, dub, 70s synth, Joe Meek, Ivor Cutler, Library, krautrock, and Warp Records' heyday. (It's being released, in part, by Warp.) Tall Tales features new music and visuals, and they're saying it contains elements of a fairy tale, in case the title wasn't an obvious enough hint. It's not a whole lot to go on — the trailer kind of evokes Koyaanisqatsi — but fans of these artists probably don't need a whole lot of prodding. 115 SE Main St., Minneapolis ($17) In the Mood for Love (2000) Thursday, May 8, at Grandview Theatre There's a surprising amount of Wong Kar-Wai coming to Minnesota theaters in May. Both Chungking Express and Happy Together will return to theaters, with the former screening on Wednesday. I have a soft spot for both, especially Happy Together, but if you're showing Wong Kar-Wai movies, it's hard not to start with this masterpiece. Tony Leung Chiu-Wai and Maggie Cheung star as neighbors who suspect their spouses of having affairs. They bond and are determined to keep things above board, but there might not be a movie with more pent-up sexual tension. 1830 Grand Ave., St. Paul ($14.44) Jeanne Dielman, 23, Quai Du Commerce, 1080 Bruxulles (1975) Saturday, May 10, at Alamo Drafthouse Jeanne Dielman has gotten a lot of attention over the last handful of years after it topped Sight & Sound's list of the greatest films ever made in 2022. The critics' poll inspired a lot of debate (and a lot of criticism of the poll). Nonetheless, it put Chantal Akerman's 1975 film in the spotlight and offered a chance for many (me included) to revisit and appreciate the subtle and considered character study. It rewards viewers who are down to stick it out through its three-hour and 22-minute runtime. The movie stars Delphine Seyrig as the widowed title character, obsessed with her routines and caring for her son. When the chores are done, she has clients arrive at her flat for sex. Despite its length, the movie takes place over a short period of time as Jeanne has a sexual awakening that upends her life. 9060 Hudson Rd., Woodbury ($11.91) The Brood (1979) Monday, May 12, at Emagine Willow Creek David Cronenberg's The Brood may be among the most haunting horror movies that is (at least partially) about birth. A woman is committed to the care of a possibly depraved psychologist who prevents her husband from visiting, despite his desire to find out what kind of abuses their daughter may have endured at his wife's hands. Though, that quickly becomes the least of his problems as small, deformed, child-like creatures begin to murder anyone to whom he gets close. 9900 Shelard Pkwy., Plymouth ($8.25) Related: Kevin Smith wants to bring 'Mallrats' back to Eden Prairie for its 30th anniversary More movies screening this week: Related: Tickets set to go on sale for the pre-Broadway run of 'Purple Rain' in Minneapolis

First trailer for ‘demented' new horror movie with 100% Rotten Tomatoes score
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video The first trailer for a terrifying new horror movie has dropped, and it already boasts a rare 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Alison Brie and husband Dave Franco have teamed up for Together, which will be released on July 30 and was written and directed by Michael Shanks. The latest horror set to give us nightmares follows couple Millie and Tim as they relocate to the countryside for a quieter life, but their relationship takes a creepy turn when they become physically attached. In the brief teaser, which was set to The Turtles' Happy Together, cracks begin to form in their co-dependent romance, leading Millie to seek help from a therapist. 'Since the move, Tim and I haven't been on the same page,' she tells him. 'Maybe we're just complacent.' 'Well, complacency can sometimes simply be harmony,' he tells her. 'This could be the beginning of something wonderful. 'We spend our lives in search of the other half. If you think you've found that, don't be so quick to let it go.' We then see the couple passionately kissing before their lips stick together, sparking more confusion. Things become more disturbing as they battle to save their relationship – as well as their lives – with the chilling final seconds showing their eyelids fusing together. Together is set to hit the big screen in the summer, but premiered at SXSW in March, and has earned rave reviews from critics, and a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes. The Daily Beast's Nick Schager praised: 'A giddy grotesquerie that has midnight-movie crowd-pleaser written all over it.' Screen International's Tim Grierson agreed: 'Brie and Franco, who also serve as producers, lend star power, and the film's catchy conceit could make this a fun date-night prospect for couples with a demented sense of humor.' 'Couples who have been together as long as Tim & Millie start to question where one person ends and the other begins,' Brian Tallerico of wrote. 'Together turns that concept into physical horror in a way that's unforgettable.' Kate Erbland from IndieWire said: '[A] delightfully unhinged spin on the body horror joint.' Variety's Owen Gleiberman penned: 'It's fun (in a rather bumptious way), it stars two very good actors playing a couple who have as many issues as couples do in real life, and it works as a totally unhinged yet far from mindless thriller built around a Big Idea.' As Ross Bonaime of Collider added: 'In this wild horror romance, Brie and Franco go completely all-in with a gleefully strange concept that's some of their best work yet. 'Shanks' screenplay is a great blend of unrelenting horror and laughably uncomfortable moments.' Alison and Dave first met in 2011 and they announced their relationship the following year. They eventually walked down the aisle in March 2017 – this marks the third time they have worked in a project together, after The Rental in 2020, and Somebody I Used To Know in 2023. In a joint interview with People Magazine, they raved about spending their days together professionally. 'I am always so in awe of you when we're on set together,' the Mad Men actress told her husband. 'It's very attractive!' 'We are getting to watch each other do new things,' she praised. 'I'm endlessly impressed by the amount that Dave pushes himself outside of his comfort zone. More Trending 'I haven't seen him do before… Just his sheer physicality – I've always known Dave was a natural athlete but watching the things he does in this movie was truly surprising.' The official synopsis for Together reads: 'Years into their relationship, Tim and Millie find themselves at a crossroads as they move to the country, abandoning all that is familiar in their lives except each other. 'With tensions already flaring, a nightmarish encounter with a mysterious, unnatural force threatens to corrupt their lives, their love and their flesh.' Together is in cinemas on July 30. Dave Franco and Alison Brie Get Closer Than Ever in Chilling Trailer for 'Together'
Dave Franco and Alison Brie are taking relationships to extreme lengths in their shocking new horror film. On Monday, May 5, Neon debuted the trailer for Together, the latest movie the real-life couple have collaborated on together. The trailer, set to the tune of The Turtles' 1967 hit "Happy Together," finds Brie's character as she appears to meet with a therapist to express that she and Franco's character "haven't been on the same page" since a move to the countryside. While the couple are shown sharing a passionate kiss, their lips briefly get stuck together as if bound by glue. More strange and disturbing experiences suggest a supernatural force in or around their new home is binding the couple together. "Years into their relationship, Tim and Millie find themselves at a crossroads as they move to the country, abandoning all that is familiar in their lives except each other," reads a synopsis. "With tensions already flaring, a nightmarish encounter with a mysterious, unnatural force threatens to corrupt their lives, their love and their flesh." That teaser ended with the actors' characters telling each other, "I love you," as well as a shot of their eyeballs up close. Together made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January; the movie played at the SXSW Film & TV Festival in March, where Franco, 39, told PEOPLE he and Brie, 42, "just gain more and more respect for each other" as partners in work and in life. (The couple first met in 2011 and married in 2017.) 'I am always so in awe of you when we're on set together,' Brie told her husband in that interview. 'It's very attractive!' Alexis Badel tunes up for Champions Mile bid with breakthrough treble at Happy Valley
French jockey lands his first three-timer since October 2022 at city circuit ahead of Group One ride on Sunday Alexis Badel struck top form ahead of his bid for Group One glory on Champions Day with his first treble in two and a half years at Happy Valley on Wednesday night. Set to ride consistent galloper Happy Together in Sunday's Champions Mile, the Frenchman tuned up for the city's second biggest meeting of the year with wins on Winning Heart, Leather Master and Power Koepp. 'It's important, my form's good,' Badel said after moving to 25 wins for the campaign. 'I feel good. I've had decent support and a nice book of rides and it's nice to deliver.' Two wins from his past three starts! Mark Newnham has Power Koepp in serious form as @AlexisBadel grabs a treble at Happy Valley... 🔥#HappyWednesday | #HKracing — HKJC Racing (@HKJC_Racing) April 23, 2025 Frankie Lor Fu-chuen's Happy Together faces a tough test against the likes of star miler Voyage Bubble and nine-time Australian Group One winner Mr Brightside in a strong edition of the Champions Mile. However, the six-year-old has been a model of consistency in Hong Kong with six wins and three top-five finishes in his three Group One starts. 'Happy Together is my faithful friend and I believe his form is good and I think it's interesting to see him over the mile,' Badel said. 'I think it makes it more simple. It's a tough race but he's so honest. He'll run a place.' Badel bagged the opening two races at the Valley, with Tony Cruz's Winning Heart overcoming a wide run throughout to claim the Class Five Flamingo Flower Handicap (1,200m) before Manfred Man Ka-leung's Leather Master broke through for his first triumph at start 20 in the Class Five Freesia Handicap (1,800m). Power Koepp continued his top form since a transfer to Mark Newnham, landing his second win from three starts for his new stable in the Class Three Kalanchoe Handicap (1,200m). Perfectly placed by Badel in the box seat from gate two, the seven-year-old surged to the lead passing the 200m and held off a gutsy Lucky Eight to win by a short head. Elsewhere on Wednesday night, the Valley's leading trainer Caspar Fownes and his apprentice Ellis Wong Chi-wang teamed up for a race-to-race double with Super Sixty and Sky Cap. It was 24-year-old Wong's first brace since May last year. 'It's very nice. He's a good kid, so hopefully he'll kick on from this,' Fownes said. 'He gave them nice rides, they were deserving of their victories and hopefully he can get some more support now and more winners.' Wong capitalised on gate one to spear Super Sixty along the inside for a fast-finishing win in the Class Four Geranium Handicap (1,000m) before making all on Sky Cap in the Class Four The Lusitano Challenge Cup (1,200m). Sky Cap keeps finding out in front! @elliswong05 and Caspar Fownes combine for a double by capturing the Lusitano Challenge Cup at Happy Valley at 28/1... 🏆#HappyWednesday | #HKracing — HKJC Racing (@HKJC_Racing) April 23, 2025 Starting a $29.9 outsider after finishing no better than seventh from his five starts, Capitalist three-year-old Sky Cap kicked clear in the straight and hung on late to beat Bienvenue by a neck. 'It was a surprise, but his last run was a lot better. He was only beaten three and a half lengths at Sha Tin and came here with an inside gate [two],' Fownes said. 'He was going to be competitive but winning or not, you don't know. We're just happy to get the result.' Cruz shared training honours with Fownes after also notching a brace with Winning Heart and Fallon, who continued his consistent form with a strong win under Ben Thompson in the Class Three Roselle Handicap (1,800m).
