Dy CM Maurya reviews ongoing development projects in Prayagraj
1 2 Prayagraj: Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Sunday reviewed the ongoing development projects, including the progress of the under-construction ring road. He said that the ring road has been divided into 7-8 sectors, and the land located within one-kilometre limit inside and outside the ring road should have a proper action plan. The plan aims to develop the area by dividing it in terms of education, health, residential, commercial activities, entertainment, and sports by the Prayagraj Development Authority or Housing Development Council. He also directed the Vice Chairman of the Prayagraj Development Authority to conduct a checking campaign to monitor the activities of plotting in this area. Maurya, while reviewing the projects, asked officials of the power department to prevent line loss but emphasised that there should be no harassment of consumers under any circumstances and to ensure adequate power supply. He also instructed officials of the power department to increase the capacity of transformers in areas where the number of connections have increased and to prevent illegal billing. The Deputy CM inquired about the complaints related to wrong billing from the power department officials, following which the superintending engineer stated that such complaints are resolved quickly. He mentioned that under the new system, an online consumer app was developed, which can be downloaded from Google Play Store. By logging in with the account/connection number, load can be increased, electricity bills can be downloaded, all information related to electricity bills can be obtained, and bills can be generated and paid. Other facilities can be applied for online. Maurya also asked officials to take stern action against land mafias involved in grabbing state land. He instructed the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation to identify the state land of the city and the land of the Gram Sabha located in the extended area, fence it with barbed wire, and develop land by preparing an action plan related to developmental schemes there. Maurya asked PMC officials to get all the drains cleaned before the monsoon rains, so there are no complaints of overflowing drains or waterlogging during the rains. He also said that all the projects related to Maha Kumbh, whose work is still pending, should be completed quickly. If some deficiencies come to light in any project, they should be rectified with quality. He asked the Municipal Corporation and NHAI to coordinate with each other and ensure that the highways, city roads, and street lights are lit every day. He mentioned that complaints were received about the plants planted during Maha Kumbh drying up due to a lack of proper care. He directed the concerned officials to take it seriously and take effective action to save them from drying up. Maurya, while reviewing Har Ghar Nal Se Jal, said that action should be ensured to provide water quickly to those houses where tap water was not supplied yet, and strict action should be taken against any agency found negligent in the implementation of this scheme.

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India] May 29 (ANI): Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu performed inaugurations and laid foundation stones of 19 developmental projects worth Rs. 78.47 crore at Dehuri for Banjar assembly constituency of Kullu district on Wednesday. According to an official release, the Chief Minister inaugurated seven projects including Rs. 7.32 crore Banjar bye-pass along with a bridge in tehsil Banjar, Rs. 1.38 crore Manglour bridge on NH 305, Rs. 2.80 crore lift water supply scheme to Tinda Sharan Bijohi, Galoon Laid, Tilroo and Chanour in tehsil Banjar, Rs. 2.17 crore LWSS to Dodni-Age, Bhatgran habitation in GP Diyar in tehsil Kullu, Rs. 2.06 crore Har Ghar Nal Se Jal to various WSS Larji in CV Kotla in tehsil Banjar, Rs. 2.80 crore Multi storied Parking at bus stand Banjar and Rs. 1.35 crore science Lab at Sainj. CM Sukhu laid foundation stones of Johal Jeshta Ashni Puin road to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 4.73 crore, Jawal Tinda via Seri Bella Beogi road on which Rs. 4.65 crore to be spent, bridge over Tirthan river, Banjar to be built with an outlay of Rs. 7.11 crore, Rs. 6.20 crore, and Rs. 5.82 crore single span steel truss bridges over Sainj khad. CM also performed foundation stones of Rs. 3.72 crore reclamation and restoration of rain damages at Sainj market and along right side of Sainj khad in tehsil Sainj, Rs. 8.02 crore flood protection work from Sharabai to Bajaura along river Beas on both side at various reaches, Rs. 1.90 crore flood protection work on Tirthan khad near Banjar, Rs. 3.40 crore flood mitigation and embankment protection work for experimental/ reach farm of KVK Bajaura, Rs. 4.85 crore flood protection work on Tirthan Jibhi khad near Dwala Shari and Ratwah in tehsil Banjar, Rs. 1.83 crore flood protection work to Sainj khad (left side) at various reaches in tehsil Sainj and Rs. 6.35 crore flood protection work on Jibhi khad at Hidab, Ghiagi, Jibhi, Dawala and Damothi and on Tirthan khad at Bathad, Pharyadi, Gushani, Shairopa Deori and Kandi Dhar Kalu ropa and Khundan to Manglore in tehsil Banjar. Step up vigil on urban Naxals in Varanasi region, CM tells officials
1 2 Varanasi: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday directed officials and police to strengthen security measures and vigilance, especially on urban Naxals, in view of the success of Operation Sindoor by the Indian armed reviewing the progress of development projects in PM Narendra Modi's constituency of Varanasi and the law and order at a meeting with officials and public representatives at the circuit house here, Yogi asked officials to focus on security measures and law and order in the district following the success of Operation Sindoor. Under the Har Ghar Nal Se Jal scheme, the Rural Water Corporation was instructed to inspect four villages with public representatives to check the quality of work and verify whether road cutting work was fully going through Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport expansion works, he said tt should be ensured that work does not hinder the movement of local residents. Revenue cases should be resolved swiftly on merit. He also instructed speeding up the sewer network work in the Ramnagar-Sujabad area. VDA should ensure rapid progress in township and connectivity works around the under-construction international cricket stadium in Ganjari. The PWD was instructed to connect drains of buildings along roads to the main drains for proper drainage. The municipal corporation was directed to clean all drains before the monsoon and remove silt from the reviewing the law and order in Varanasi and the adjoining region, Yogi ordered quick action on criminals and reiterated his govt's zero tolerance policy against crime and criminals. He directed the timely and quality completion of ongoing projects in the district. Divisional commissioner S Rajalingam apprised the CM about the progress of various ongoing projects in the district, stating that about 60 projects worth Rs 14,000 crore are under construction. Police commissioner Mohit Agarwal and ADG zone Piyush Mordia gave a presentation on the achievements in curbing crime and measures initiated for improvement in law and order in the district.

All unauthorised colonies to get sewer line by 2028: CM
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday said her government's aim is to connect all unauthorised colonies to the sewer network by 2028. 'Sewer lines have been successfully laid in 1,226 unauthorised colonies in Delhi, and work is under way in 154 such colonies,' said Ms. Gupta after holding a Delhi Jal Board (DJB) review meeting. According to the Delhi Development Authority, there are 1,731 unauthorised colonies in Delhi. Sewage flowing into the Yamuna is a key cause of pollution in the river, which the BJP has promised to clean up in the run-up to the Delhi Assembly election. Ms. Gupta said that this is not just an infrastructure project, but a committed effort toward sanitation, health, and environmental protection. She said that the Delhi government was fully committed to making Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Har Ghar Nal Se Jal' (tap water in every house) mission a success. 'Delhi government prioritises ensuring clean and sufficient water supply to every citizen. Accordingly, the DJB has been directed to accelerate water management projects, expand the pipeline network, and prioritise the conservation of water sources. The goal is to address today's needs and prevent future generations from facing water scarcity,' she added.
