Gaza Children Arrive in Casablanca for 16th Summer Camps Edition

A group of fifty children from Gaza arrived on Monday in Casablanca, to participate in the 16th edition of summer camps, named "Harat Al Maghariba," event organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee. This edition's official program is set to kick off on Tuesday with the launch of "summer school" for Moroccan and Palestinian children dubbed "turning video games into a tool for education, learning and entertainment," the Agency stated in a press release. Experts will host interactive workshops and practical applications focusing on education on the means of protection, AI, and responsible entertainment. This edition, initiated by the support of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication (Youth Department), will be held on August 10-26, combining comfort and entertainment, educational trips, as well as meetings and exchanges between Palestinian children and their Moroccan peers. The program of this edition also includes artistic and athletic competitions between children from Gaza and Moroccan peers, as well as touristic visits in Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Tetouan, M'diq and Chefchaouen, to explore historical monuments and gain knowledge on big economical projects implemented by the Kingdom, particularly in infrastructure and large-scale sports equipment. As each year, Al-Quds children share with their Moroccan peers their joy of national festivals during their stay, through artistic performances including the Moroccan national anthem and extracts of the song "Nidae El Hassan," accompanied by choreographies inspired by the Palestinian heritage and traditional "Dabke" dances. Conclusion of Preparatory Activities for 16th Edition of Summer Camps for Al-Quds Children

The preparatory activities for the 16th edition of the summer camps for the children of Al-Quds, known as "Harat Al Maghariba," an event held annually in Morocco under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, concluded on Saturday in the Holy City. The closing took place in the presence of officials from the Directorate of Education and Teaching, as well as families of the participants. This edition, initiated by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency with the support and in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, will take place from August 10 to 26. It combines relaxation and entertainment, educational and pedagogical trips, as well as meetings and exchanges between Palestinian and Moroccan children. As in previous editions, 50 children aged 11 to 14 were selected from 450 applicants by a committee composed of representatives from the Directorate of Education in Al-Quds, social workers, and five specialized supervisors who will accompany them throughout their stay in Morocco. The official program will begin on Tuesday, August 12, with the launch of the "Summer School," organized by the Agency for the benefit of Moroccan and Palestinian children under the theme: "Let's Make Electronic Games a Tool for Education, Learning, and Entertainment." Experts will lead interactive workshops and practical applications focusing on education for protection, artificial intelligence, and responsible entertainment through video games. This edition's program also includes artistic and sports competitions between children of Al-Quds and their Moroccan peers, as well as tourist visits to Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Tetouan, M'diq, and Chefchaouen to explore historical landmarks and learn about major economic projects undertaken in the Kingdom, particularly in terms of infrastructure and large-scale sports facilities. As in every year, the children of Al-Quds are eager to share in the joy of Morocco's national celebrations that coincide with their stay. They will present artistic performances, including the Moroccan national anthem and excerpts from the song "Nidae El Hassan," accompanied by choreographies inspired by Palestinian heritage and traditional "Dabkeh" dances.
