Newly-launched jigsaw puzzle depicts well-known Harrogate landmark
A new jigsaw puzzle featuring a Harrogate landmark is now stocked at a town centre store. The 1,000-piece puzzle, which is available to buy at Games Crusade on Oxford Street in Harrogate, shows a photograph of Harrogate's war memorial, known as the Cenotaph. Harrogate Business Improvement District (BID) partnered with Games Crusade, and with UK-based organisation All Jigsaw Puzzles, to create the jigsaw. "We were very happy to offer funding for a series of new photographs of Harrogate to be used for the design. Popular floral trail returning to North Yorkshire town centre
A popular floral trail is set to return to a North Yorkshire town centre. The Harrogate Floral Summer of Celebration will launch on July 18 and will remain in place for at least three weeks. Organised by Harrogate BID (Business Improvement District), the event aims to build on the town's reputation as a leading floral destination. Bethany Allen, operations and projects executive at Harrogate BID, said: "With just one week to go until our popular floral celebration returns, we can't wait to bring it back for our town. "We've got a variety of delightful displays set to appear across our town centre over the coming days. "The Floral Summer of Celebration always receives a great response from local businesses, residents and visitors – and we're hoping for the same this time around." The trail will feature summer-themed floral arches and displays, picnic benches, and other colourful arrangements. This year, one of the displays will mark the 125th anniversary of Harrogate Theatre. Displays will be installed at several key locations, including The Yorkshire Hotel, The Cenotaph, Cross James Street, Beulah Street, Harrogate Theatre, Montpellier Hill, West Park Church, Library Gardens, and outside the Nicholls Tyreman site on Albert Street. The full trail will be in place and officially launched on July 18. The event is part of Harrogate BID's ongoing efforts to enhance the town centre. The Floral Summer of Celebration is designed to attract visitors, support local businesses, and add to Harrogate's floral heritage. The event complements other floral schemes maintained by Harrogate BID throughout the year.

New 'Welcome to Harrogate' mural appears on Cheltenham Road
A new street art mural is brightening up the town centre in Harrogate. Fully funded by the Harrogate Business Improvement District (BID), the artwork appears on a previously bare wall along Cheltenham Road, near the entrance to the Jubilee multi-storey car park. Designed to greet visitors, the mural features the phrase 'Welcome to Harrogate,' with each letter highlighting a different aspect of the town's heritage, from spa waters and afternoon tea to its football club and floral displays. Harrogate Town season tickets for BID Father's Day competition winner
A nursery nurse has described herself as "over the moon" after winning this year's Harrogate BID Father's Day competition. Laura Hodges, from Killinghall, entered the competition for her husband, Darren, as the prize package features two season tickets for Harrogate Town, and he had been hoping to attend more matches with the couple's five-year-old son, Tommy. Mrs Hodges said: "Darren is chuffed and cannot wait to go to the matches more regularly with Tommy – who loves Harrigator!" Bethany Allen, operations and projects executive at Harrogate BID, said: "We're always delighted to organise these themed competitions at key times of the year. "We hope that Laura, Darren, and their family enjoy making use of the full prize package." BID announces funding in Harrogate for Shopsafe's Alert app
Harrogate BID has announced funding for the Alert app from ShopSafe, which will support the Harrogate Pubwatch scheme in the town centre by streamlining communication between venues. Matthew Chapman, chief executive of Harrogate BID, said: "We're thrilled to be working alongside the Pubwatch scheme in our town to continue to improve the initiative for its members." It is hoped that the app will make it easier for venues to report incidents and identify banned individuals, supporting a safer night-time economy. The partnership between Harrogate BID, Pubwatch, and Shopsafe's Alert app was announced officially at a meeting last Thursday (May 29). Details of the Best Bar None scheme in Harrogate were also revealed during that meeting. The scheme is designed to help customers to identify well-run night-time economy venues, which have received a mark of accreditation from the scheme.
