A first look at Glastonbury's main stages for 2025
GLASTONBURY Festival is well and truly underway with both main stages awaiting major stars this year.
Both the Pyramid Stage and the Other Stage are being set up in preparation for opening shows - with the Pyramid already hosting an opening ceremony circus act.

At the top of the Other Stage, you can spot three insects - including a butterfly and a stag beetle.
For the first time since 1990, 'The Dreamweaver's Journey' played on the main stage - allowing festival-goers to enjoy acrobatics, circus performances, and an aerial odyssey.

Following this, the yearly Glastonbury tradition of fireworks kicked off around 10:45pm yesterday (June 25).
Some festival-goers may feel a bit let down by the fact that there is no drone show at this year's opening ceremony. A show that was first brought in last year.
However, that won't be the case with everyone, as last year, when the Somerset County Gazette watched the show, some people had a lot to say.
The biggest crowd reaction – at least where one of our reporters was sitting – was laughter in response to a shout of 'put your lightsaber down, you t***'. The offending piece of Star Wars merchandise being waved around was soon lowered by its owner.
There were calls for music to be played from the main stages whilst the drone show went on, however, this was likely not possible due to the festival's licensing agreements for its main stages, which open on the Friday.
As last year, there was no music during the opening ceremony again. Stay tuned for an upcoming review.
