Two teenagers to take on European sailing challenge
Two teenagers will take on a historic sailing challenge this summer.
Magnus Medcalf and Harry Spink, both 16, will compete in the 61st European Sharpie Championships at Brancaster Staithe Sailing Club in Brancaster Staithe, Norfolk.
The championships run from Monday, August 11, to Friday, August 15, 2025.
They will sail a loaned Sharpie dubbed Sea Witch, carrying sail number 101.
The pair serve as junior fleet captains at their local sailing club.

The entry list nears 50 classic mahogany gaff-rigged boats from the UK, the Netherlands, Germany and Portugal.
Many are passed down through generations, adding to the championship's unique atmosphere.
Notable entries include Chuckles, the UK boat that won bronze at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics.
