Country singer Lainey Wilson is bringing her Whirlwind tour to Australia and New Zealand in 2026
Country singer Lainey Wilson is heading to Australia and New Zealand in February 2026. The Heart Like A Truck hitmaker will perform shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth to celebrate the deluxe edition of her record Whirlwind. 'AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND! I'm bringing the Whirlwind World Tour down under in 2026 and I want to see you there,' she wrote on Instagram on Sunday. 'Tickets & VIP Packages go on sale to the public Friday 15 Aug. @ 12pm local, but you can get first access to presale tickets starting Tuesday 12 Aug.' Lainey will perform in Auckland on February 6 and Christchurch on February 8 before heading to Australia and playing in Brisbane on February 11. She will also perform in Newcastle on February 14, Sydney on February 16, Melbourne on February 19 and Adelaide on February 22 before ending her tour in Perth on February 26. Frontier Members can access the presale for Lainey's Australian tour from 12pm local time. General tickets go on sale from 1pm local time on Friday 15th August. This show coincides with the release of the deluxe edition of her album Whirlwind, which will be released on August 22. It features five new songs including Somewhere Over Laredo and Bell Bottoms Up. Lainey was recently nominated for two 2024 Grammys, including Country Album of the Year and Best Country Duo/Group Performance. In 2023, Lainey was also nominated and took home many awards, including nine Country Music Association Awards nominations, where she won the coveted Entertainer of the Year along with four other categories, tying the one-year record first set in 1969. Lainey was the most nominated artist at the 2023 CMA Awards with a record-breaking nine nominations, and five wins including Entertainer of the Year. Her recent singles, 'Watermelon Moonshine' and 'Save Me' with Jelly Roll topped the Country charts marking her fifth and sixth No. 1's, making her the lead female artist with the most No.1's this decade. Her critically acclaimed album, Bell Bottom Country, rose up Billboard's Top Album Chart and Country Albums Chart, amassing over 700 million streams to date and has earned her the title of CMA and ACM Album of the Year and a Grammy nomination for Country Album of the Year. Adding to her growing list of endeavours, Wilson was honoured at Billboard's Women in Music Awards with the Rulebreaker Award, and most recently joined forces with Wrangler as the face of their 2023 fall/winter women's collection. She made her acting debut in Season 5 of the smash hit series Yellowstone as a musician character named Abby. She premiered her original Smell Like Smoke as well as showcased other hits off her recent album including Watermelon Moonshine and Hold My Halo on the show.

The 32-year-old country singer got engaged to the former NFL star last month after four years together and she has thankful to have found someone so supportive of the busy lifestyle she leads as a result of her career. Speaking on 'The Kelleigh Bannen Show' on Apple Music Country, she said: 'He is a brave man. "First of all, anybody who is okay with this lifestyle and being in the business so much and being gone all the time, he was plucked from the sky for me. "Don't tell him I said that… We got to keep him humble.' The 'Heart Like a Truck' hitmaker is known for wearing bell-bottoms but she won't be donning her trademark flares for their wedding. She said: 'I'm going to wear a dress. I hadn't done the whole dress shopping. "We haven't even picked a date or anything like that. We got some time, but I figured, you know what? I hadn't worn a dress for him yet, and I guess that would be the day to do it.' The 28-year-old footballer designed Lainey's engagement ring himself and she revealed he was inspired by jewellery she'd shown him very early in their relationship. She said: 'Years ago I was just joking and being like, 'Oh, check this out,' and he was like, 'Oh shoot'. "I think he started saving four years ago when we first started dating… But he went in and he designed it. Lainey Wilson is officially engaged to Devlin Hodges. The country singer posted a photo on her Instagram just before Valentine's Day on Wednesday showing off her new ring. '4x4xU forever,' the post's caption read, referencing the title of her hit 2024 song. The 'Heart Like A Truck' singer was pictured wearing a long red coat, cowboy hat and bell bottom jeans outside George Jones's $5.95 million manor in Franklin, Tennessee. PageSix reports that Hodges proposed to Wilson — who is a huge fan of the late 'He Stopped Loving Her Today' crooner — at the property. Wilson first confirmed that she was dating Hodges in 2023 during an episode of The Bobby Bones Show. At the time, she told the radio show host that she and the former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback had been together for the last two and a half years. 'He's a good dude. He knows what it's like chasing a dream because he's done that for himself,' she said at the time. 'He is good as gold, supports me, would never come in between anything that I'm trying to do.' 'But I guess I'm gonna have to propose to his ass 'cause he ain't proposed to me,' Wilson joked about an engagement at the time. 'I think [an engagement] needs to be during a season of our life where we really have the time to, like, enjoy it.' Wilson also revealed during that episode why Hodges answers to the nickname 'Duck,' telling Bones that it came from his college football coach at Samford University in Alabama. 'His college football coach was like, 'You're one of the best quarterbacks I've ever worked with. And you remind me a lot of one of my favorite quarterbacks I got to work with years ago, and we called him Duck,'' Wilson said. 'And so he and the team just kind of started calling him Duck.' Wilson seemed to predict that the proposal was coming, as she joked last month that this might be the year it would happen. 'No pressure, brother! No pressure,' she said during an interview with Bunnie XO for CMT. 'I might have to propose to him. We waiting!' Bunnie replied: 'No, Duck's going to do it. I could feel it.' Wilson then responded, 'I like that.' On Thursday, many people were quick to congratulate the couple on their engagement. 'OKAYYYYYYY massive congratulations Lainey,' Taylor Lautner commented on Instagram. 'He gave a rock to a rolling stone, and the rolling stone let her heart free! Congrats to both!' another comment read.
