From August through October, the 'Señorita' singer will perform at venues all over Europe, the U.S. and Canada along with special guests Maro, Lubiana and Eddie Benjamin on select dates. Midway through the North American leg of the run, the 26-year-old Toronto native is scheduled to drop in at Queens, NY's Forest Hills Stadium on Friday, Oct. 3. These shows come in support of Mendes' recently-released fifth studio album 'Shawn,' which hit shelves in October 2024 and spawned the hit singles 'Why Why Why,' 'Heart of Gold' and 'Nobody Knows.' While we don't know what he'll take to the stage this time around, Set List FM reports he performed 16 songs at his Brooklyn Paramount show seven months ago. If you'd like to see him live in 2025, tickets are available for all North American shows. Happy 100th Birthday, Belcourt Theatre!

Move over, Grand Ole Opry, you're not the only Nashville icon hitting 100 this year. The Belcourt Theatre, the city's beloved indie cinema, has officially reached the century mark, and it's celebrating the only way it knows how: by rolling film. As part of its birthday festivities, the theater is hosting a special centennial series called 'Nashville: A City on Film,' a deep dive into how our city has appeared on the silver screen over the decades. (In other words, get ready to see Nashville play itself in a bunch of movies!) It all kicks off with the most meta choice possible: Robert Altman's 1975 classic Nashville. And to sweeten the opening weekend, actor Keith Carradine, who starred in the film and even won an Academy Award for the song he wrote and performed in it, will appear at the Belcourt in person on Sunday, June 1. Carradine's presence is a film buff's dream; after the screening, he'll share stories and answer audience questions about making the film. And that's just the beginning. 'Nashville: A City On Film' features eight films throughout June, each spotlighting different eras and corners of town, with more to be added as the celebration continues all year. The lineup ranges from a 1960s country-fried curio (Girl from Tobacco Row) and a 2000s concert documentary (Neil Young: Heart of Gold) to quirky indie fare like Harmony Korine's Gummo and the outrageous local musical satire Existo. There's also the '90s charmer The Thing Called Love (about aspiring songwriters in Nashville) and even the goofy Halloween romp Ernest Scared Stupid. In short, expect a little bit of everything – drama, music, comedy, and some weirdness – unified by one common show-stealer: the city of Nashville. Half the fun of this series is scanning the screen for familiar places. Altman's Nashville alone features a treasure trove of local spots, from the long-gone Opryland amusement park and the Exit/In to a climactic political rally at The Parthenon in Centennial Park. There's even a quick airport scene shot at Berry Field (known today as Nashville International Airport), which is sure to prompt some nostalgia. (Farewell, old BNA carpet!) The Thing Called Love (1993) offers its own sightseeing, as well as a much younger Sandra Bullock. Keep an eye out for Green Hills, the old Drake Motel on Murfreesboro Road, and a romantic moment on the then-Shelby Street Bridge downtown. But don't get too caught up in whether or not the scenes at Bluebird Café are legit. They were actually recreated on a Hollywood stage! Music history buffs will love Neil Young: Heart of Gold (2006), which captures an intimate performance at the Ryman Auditorium. You can practically feel the soul of the Mother Church in every frame. And for a lighter touch, Ernest Scared Stupid (1991) turns East Nashville's Five Points and Shelby Park into the backdrop for some slime-flinging, good-hearted Halloween mischief. There's nothing like seeing your neighborhood haunt pop up in a cult film to make a screening extra special. Of course, the Belcourt Theatre has plenty of its own history worth celebrating. It first opened its doors in 1925 as the Hillsboro Theatre, a silent movie house (complete with an orchestra pit for those pre-talkie flicks). In the 1930s, it even did a stint as an early stage for the Grand Ole Opry radio shows before the Opry moved on to bigger venues. Over the decades, the theater wore many hats, later hosting live plays as the Community Playhouse (home to groups like the Nashville Children's Theatre), then eventually transforming into the nonprofit art-house cinema cherished by Nashville film fans today. If those walls could talk, we have no doubt they'd have a century's worth of incredible stories. Now, at 100 years young, the Belcourt is proving that some classics never go out of style. This centennial film series isn't just a trip down memory lane; it's a chance for today's audiences to rediscover Nashville's cinematic moments and maybe learn something new about our hometown in the process. So, grab your popcorn (or perhaps a slice of birthday cake?), find a cozy seat, and enjoy the show. Happy birthday, Belcourt. See you at the movies! ********** Keep up with the best parts of life in Nashville and beyond. Subscribe to StyleBlueprint!

Neil Young Performs 1983 Deep Cut ‘My Boy' for First Time in 42 Years

Neil Young revisited one of the most personal songs in his extensive catalog during a special benefit concert on Friday night (May 23), delivering the first live performance of 'My Boy' in more than four decades. The show, a solo acoustic set held on the grounds of Ontario's Lakefield College School, marked Young's first full performance of 2025 and supported restoration efforts for a historic 116-year-old cottage nearby. Despite the cold and rainy conditions, attendees paid up to $1,500 for tickets to witness the intimate 18-song performance. Originally released on 1985's Old Ways, the banjo-led ballad is a tribute to Young's eldest son, Zeke. The song had not been performed live since the 1983 Solo Trans tour. 'Why are you growin' up so fast, my boy?' Young sang. Hours earlier, he had posted a vintage photo on social media of himself with Zeke and his late father, renowned Canadian journalist Scott Young. 'Practicing for Lakefield, I was playing 'My Boy,' thinking about my own dad. I knew he must have heard this song,' Young wrote. 'My dad was a great guy and Zeke is a wonderful son. I think 'My Boy' is my favorite recording of all the ones I have done.' Young also surprised fans with rarely played tracks like 'Love/Art Blues' (last performed in 2008) and the CSNY deep cut 'Name of Love,' which hadn't been seen on a setlist since 2014. He closed the show with 'Old Man,' although a printed setlist hinted at two intended encore tracks — 'Throw Your Hatred Down' and 'Rockin' in the Free World' — that were likely scrapped due to inclement weather. The show comes ahead of Young's Love Earth Tour, which launches June 18 in Sweden. The U.S. leg kicks off Aug. 8 in Charlotte, North Carolina. While the setlist remains under wraps, the tour is expected to spotlight tracks from his upcoming album Talkin' to the Trees, which arrives on June 13 via Reprise Records. Neil Young latest rocker to speak up for Springsteen against Trump: ‘Think about cleaning up the mess you made'

Neil Young has become the latest celebrity musician to back Bruce Springsteen in speaking out against the Trump administration, telling the president he should think about 'saving America from the mess you made.' In a post on his website on Tuesday, the Heart of Gold singer said he and others in the industry were 'not scared' of Trump, and said that the president should stop thinking about what 'rockers' were saying. It comes after Springsteen described Trump's administration as 'corrupt, incompetent and treasonous,' prompting Trump to respond that he was 'highly overrated' and 'not a talented guy.' 'What are you worryin' about, man?' Young wrote In his post, titled 'Trump!!!' 'Bruce and thousands of musicians think you are ruining America. You worry about that instead of the dyin' kids in Gaza. That's your problem,' he said. 'I am not scared of you. Neither are the rest of us. You shut down FEMA when we needed it most. That's your problem Trump. STOP THINKING ABOUT WHAT ROCKERS ARE SAYING. Think about saving America from the mess you made.' Addressing a crowd in Manchester, England, last week Springsteen said: 'In my home, the America I love, the America I've written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration.' Trump lashed out at The Boss shortly after on Truth Social saying that he had 'never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics.' He's 'not a talented guy — Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK, who fervently supported Crooked Joe Biden, a mentally incompetent FOOL, and our WORST EVER President, who came close to destroying our Country,' the president wrote, adding that Springsteen was a 'dried out 'prune' of a rocker.' The president recently also renewed his attacks on pop megastar Taylor Swift, claiming her popularity dipped after he said he hated her, and that since then, she was no longer 'hot.' The 'Cruel Summer' singer has also expressed support for Trump's Democratic opponents. In his post, Young added: 'Taylor Swift is right. So is Bruce. You know how I feel. You are more worried about yourself than AMERICA. Wake up Trump!! Remember what the White House is?' He added: 'You are forgetting your real job. You work for us. Wake up Republicans! This guy is out of control. We need a real president!' Young has frequently been vocal in his criticism of the president, voicing concern in April that he would be banned from returning to the U.S. after his upcoming European tour this summer due to his remarks. Later that month, he performed alongside Joan Baez and Maggie Rogers at a Bernie Sanders rally in Los Angeles.
