Halifax elementary students host Maud Lewis-inspired art gallery

More than a hundred Halifax elementary students put their creativity to the test. Dozens of students at William King Elementary School in Halifax put their creative skills to the test for a Maud Lewis-inspired art gallery on Friday. 'I am so proud of how hard they worked and persevered,' says art teacher Heather Allen. Students in Grades 3-to-5 showcased their unique pieces, all inspired by Nova Scotia artist Maud Lewis. 'They either recreated one of her paintings to pay tribute to her, or combine different things that they saw in her paintings, or they could do that and add things from their own life that they see around in Nova Scotia,' says Allen. Third-grader Declan Brown put his own twist on Maud's paintings and painted his dog Toby. 'I just got him like a couple weeks ago when I started painting this and I really loved him,' says Brown. Many students opted to keep nature and animals a focal point in their creations. 'I was inspired by Maud Lewis because I saw one of her paintings that had flowers and skies and birds and stuff,' says student Czindhy Bellescodera. 'And I decided to mix some of mine and hers into my paintings.' Andrea Robin says her love for cats inspired her piece. 'There's three big cats. One is kind of big and then medium and then a small and I added some flowers,' says Robin. Teachers say more than 120 students helped create a giant Maud Lewis house. Allen says art is a great way for students to challenge themselves and learn life skills. 'I think it gives them a place to show themselves and express who they are and have a voice to show who they are. And to get those life skills like perseverance and creativity, innovation, problem-solving all comes through when we're learning,' says Allen. The art gallery will stay open until next week for family and community members. Art show Students at William King Elementary School showcase their Maud Lewis inspired paintings. Relyance AI Unveils Data Journeys™: Redefining Trust and Visibility in the AI Era

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Relyance AI, the leading AI-powered trust and governance platform that provides complete visibility and control over enterprise-wide data, today announced Relyance AI Data Journeys ™ (Data Journeys), a first-of-its-kind product that enables AI innovation while introducing the new standard for trust and governance in a world where data is perpetually in motion. 'For AI innovation to thrive and be embraced by society, it must move beyond being a 'black box' of data, sources, and queries," said Abhi Sharma, CEO and co-founder of Relyance AI. Built on an AI-native foundation, Data Journeys delivers complete and context-aware visibility into the vast and ever-changing enterprise data flow. Organizations can now establish robust AI governance frameworks and navigate complex global regulatory requirements with confidence, all while protecting their most sensitive data. 'At the heart of AI's progress lies a critical question: Are we building technologies that people can truly rely on? When transparency and explainability becomes a guiding principle, we lay the groundwork for responsible AI that empowers, inspires, and meets the highest standards of transparency,' said Abhi Sharma, CEO and co-founder of Relyance AI. 'For AI innovation to thrive and be embraced by society, it must move beyond being a 'black box' of data, sources, and queries—with the launch of Data Journeys, we're providing transparency not as a feature but as a necessity for fairness, accountability, and trust for our customers.' A completely rethought and modern iteration on traditional data lineage, the revolutionary Data Journeys platform tracks and enriches data with never-before-seen context and precision. Unlike conventional solutions that merely capture surface-level metadata, Data Journeys delivers a panoramic view of the entire data ecosystem—mapping intricate interactions between services, applications, infrastructures, and processes, without the professional services implementation requirements that legacy data governance solutions demand. What truly sets Data Journeys apart is its ability to surface the "why" behind data usage decisions. By showing how and why data is consumed, combined, and transformed, it directly addresses compliance and governance requirements, providing the essential context needed for responsible AI implementation. This approach empowers organizations with unprecedented control over their data and analysis infrastructure. The visual proof of data handling gives stakeholders and regulators confidence, ultimately building trust—the foundation of all successful customer relationships. "The promise of AI comes with significant accountability for how data is used. After seeing Relyance AI Data Journeys, we immediately recognized its potential to revolutionize our approach to responsible AI development,' said Heather Allen, privacy officer and director of privacy management at CHG Healthcare. 'The automated, context-aware data lineage capabilities would address our most pressing challenges. It represents exactly what we've been looking for to support our global AI governance framework." Further delivering upon its commitment to offering true visibility, control, and trust for its customers' data, Relyance AI is also introducing Relyance AI InHost™, its new self-hosted deployment model catered to organizations with strict data sovereignty or security requirements. Customers now have the flexibility to choose between a traditional SaaS model and a self-hosted option that keeps all data, credentials, and network boundaries within their private cloud infrastructure. With the introduction of Data Journeys and InHost, Relyance AI becomes the first company to provide complete, context-aware visibility into the end-to-end data lifecycle even for organizations with strict security requirements. "We're witnessing the convergence of privacy, AI governance, and data security," says Matt Murphy, partner at Menlo Ventures. "Traditional point solutions attempt to address data visibility in silos—fragmenting compliance, governance, and security at precisely the moment when AI adoption demands unified oversight. Relyance AI is solving the most critical component of this massive data ecosystem challenge. We're thrilled to partner with this exceptional team as they establish the new standard for Trust and Governance in a world where data is perpetually in motion." Relyance AI is taking a comprehensive, automated approach that illuminates the complete data lifecycle, provides granular transparency and governance capabilities, and offers choice to its customers operating in highly-regulated industries where flexible data hosting models are essential. About Relyance AI Relyance AI is setting the new standard in Trust and Governance. As the only platform delivering real-time, end-to-end data visibility against customer agreements, global privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks, Relyance AI offers unparalleled protection. Industry leaders across sectors—including Coinbase, ClickUp, Bolt, Logitech, Notion, Samsara, and more—rely on Relyance AI to shield their businesses from regulatory penalties and reputational damage while creating trust by design experiences that drive competitive advantage.
