Spencer Pratt Slams People Who Criticized Heidi Montag's AMAs Hair: ‘We Don't Have $20K Wig Budget'
Spencer Pratt won't stand for anyone criticizing wife Heidi Montag's hair at the 2025 American Music Awards. The Hills alum, 41, took to TikTok on Tuesday, May 27, to share a photo of Heidi, 38, wearing her blunt blonde bob wig to the awards show the previous night. Over the snap, Spencer replied to a comment from a fan that read, 'I love love love her, but you should've stopped that wig.' 'Only 3 days if you love her buy the Heidiwood album so she can afford better wigs in the future. Fancy wigs cost like 20k ask Beyoncè,' Spencer's reply read. The video was set to Heidi's song 'Bad Publicity.' The reality TV personality shared the same post on his Instagram with the caption, 'For the wig haters please pre order HEIDIWOOD now so that future wigs have more budget.' Heidiwood is the name of Heidi's upcoming second studio album, which is set to be released on May 30. It's available for pre-save and pre-order now. In addition to sharing photos of Heidi, Spencer took to TikTok with another video in which he responded to an article with the headline, "Heidi Montag dragged for wearing 'world's worst' wig to AMAs 2025: 'From Party City.'" "A lot of people loved the wig. A lot of people didn't love it so much, but you know what, we're very thankful to be at the American Music Awards and having anyone talking about Heidi's hair. What a blessing," he said. Spencer said that he hoped to have 'Beyoncé money' someday in the future so that he and Heidi can afford a better wig. 'I've learned a lot about wigs. A really nice wig is $20,000. We don't have a $20,000 wig budget. "So it's a cute little wig for the money we can afford for a wig. It was just supposed to be a fun little, 'Oh, look at the wig.' And it worked, I guess." Spencer concluded, "I'm so thankful that so many people care about Heidi and they want her to look the best she possibly can on a red carpet, and a lot of people loved the wig, so it's all good. But all that really matters is, if you want us to get new wigs in the future, please pre-order Heidiwood right now so that we can afford one. So, thank you for caring.' Heidi, who is known for having long, blonde locks, arrived on the red carpet at the BleuLive Theater at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Monday, May 26, wearing her wig and a bedazzled blue corset and matching pants set designed by THE BLONDS. She finished off her look with silver jewelry and black shoes. Meanwhile, Spencer accompanied his wife in an all-black suit, giving her a chance to stand out. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Heidi revealed what led her to try out short hair for the event. "We just thought [we'd] switch it up a little bit and keep it fresh. I've never done this, so it's very exciting, and just a moment," she said. When the interviewer asked if 'just a moment' meant that her tresses would be 'long again tomorrow,' Heidi responded with a snap of her fingers, 'Magically. Just like that.'

Confidence is really sexy, says Heidi Montag
Heidi Montag thinks confidence is "really sexy". The 38-year-old star believes self-confidence "goes a lot further than people think". Speaking to Us Weekly, she explained: "Confidence is really sexy, and it goes a lot further than people think. [It] radiates from the inside." Heidi is set to release her long-awaited new album, 'Heidiwood', later this week, and she's described the record as "sexy". The reality TV star - who released her last album, 'Superficial', back in 2010 - shared: "I've been working on it for a year, and it's just that fun, sexy, escape pop album that I feel like everybody's needing right now. So each song is a bop." Heidi grew up in the small ski town of Crested Butte in Colorado - but she always thought she was destined for stardom. Heidi - who has been married to Spencer Pratt since 2008 - recently told The Independent: "It was a smaller version of Aspen that was more exclusive. "Dolly Parton came there, [as did] Madonna and Michael Keaton and all these really big producers, so whenever celebrities came in, I just always felt this wind of significance and fate for myself." Heidi believes she's always been destined for Hollywood and for success. The blonde beauty - who rose to prominence as a cast member on 'The Hills', the MTV reality series - said: "My mom always jokes that I was in a hot pink Barbie Ferrari one minute with my fake fur coat, and then next, I had a backwards hat on and I was playing in the mud. I've always had two parts of myself and I felt 'called' for Hollywood and for success." Heidi has actually been inspired by Jennifer Lopez, observing that it's possible to be "hot and fit and older and timeless". Asked if she's the most confident she's ever been, Heidi recently told Us Weekly: "Yes, especially considering my age. "I can't really compare myself to when I was 20, lifting weights and having a perfectly flat stomach. I'm not going to have the same body, and that's OK. "I look at someone like Jennifer Lopez, and that makes me think you can be hot and fit and older and timeless."
