Spencer Pratt Slams People Who Criticized Heidi Montag's AMAs Hair: ‘We Don't Have $20K Wig Budget'
Spencer Pratt won't stand for anyone criticizing wife Heidi Montag's hair at the 2025 American Music Awards.
The Hills alum, 41, took to TikTok on Tuesday, May 27, to share a photo of Heidi, 38, wearing her blunt blonde bob wig to the awards show the previous night. Over the snap, Spencer replied to a comment from a fan that read, 'I love love love her, but you should've stopped that wig.'
'Only 3 days if you love her buy the Heidiwood album so she can afford better wigs in the future. Fancy wigs cost like 20k ask Beyoncè,' Spencer's reply read.
The video was set to Heidi's song 'Bad Publicity.'
The reality TV personality shared the same post on his Instagram with the caption, 'For the wig haters please pre order HEIDIWOOD now so that future wigs have more budget.'
Heidiwood is the name of Heidi's upcoming second studio album, which is set to be released on May 30. It's available for pre-save and pre-order now.
In addition to sharing photos of Heidi, Spencer took to TikTok with another video in which he responded to an article with the headline, "Heidi Montag dragged for wearing 'world's worst' wig to AMAs 2025: 'From Party City.'"
"A lot of people loved the wig. A lot of people didn't love it so much, but you know what, we're very thankful to be at the American Music Awards and having anyone talking about Heidi's hair. What a blessing," he said.
Spencer said that he hoped to have 'Beyoncé money' someday in the future so that he and Heidi can afford a better wig.
'I've learned a lot about wigs. A really nice wig is $20,000. We don't have a $20,000 wig budget. "So it's a cute little wig for the money we can afford for a wig. It was just supposed to be a fun little, 'Oh, look at the wig.' And it worked, I guess."
Spencer concluded, "I'm so thankful that so many people care about Heidi and they want her to look the best she possibly can on a red carpet, and a lot of people loved the wig, so it's all good. But all that really matters is, if you want us to get new wigs in the future, please pre-order Heidiwood right now so that we can afford one. So, thank you for caring.'
Heidi, who is known for having long, blonde locks, arrived on the red carpet at the BleuLive Theater at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Monday, May 26, wearing her wig and a bedazzled blue corset and matching pants set designed by THE BLONDS. She finished off her look with silver jewelry and black shoes.
Meanwhile, Spencer accompanied his wife in an all-black suit, giving her a chance to stand out.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Heidi revealed what led her to try out short hair for the event.
"We just thought [we'd] switch it up a little bit and keep it fresh. I've never done this, so it's very exciting, and just a moment," she said.
When the interviewer asked if 'just a moment' meant that her tresses would be 'long again tomorrow,' Heidi responded with a snap of her fingers, 'Magically. Just like that.'

Hull Girlies changing lives by tackling loneliness
A new social group is tackling women's loneliness through friendships and fun activities. Hull Girlies was launched only in January but already every event sells out within hours. Mira Rumianceva was the brains behind the group. "The feedback that I've had is incredible. Some of it has made me cry. It's so nice to know that these events are having such an impact on women," she said. The girls have done activities ranging from jewellery-making and hiking to goat yoga and pole classes. Mira, 26, said she was inspired to start the group after seeing a similar one on social media. "I saw a girl's video on Instagram. I think she lived in Berlin and I remember thinking it'd be so nice if Hull had something like that," she said. "From there it's just taken off. All the events sell out within a few hours of being posted." She added: "The demand is definitely growing, so I am trying to put on more events just to meet that demand." Mira wants the group to be a "safe, welcoming and inclusive" space, and it seems to be working. "I've had girls who wanted to book on to events but felt really anxious, and then afterwards they would message me to say that as soon as they've come in and started chatting with the girls, they felt so safe, comfortable and included, and not once did they feel lonely," she said. "They just felt like they spent the night with their friends." Shay Flora, 28, said Hull Girlies was a perfect fit for her busy work schedule. "I go to work, I come home, I make my dinner, and then I'll do that through the week, and then I'll go down to Sheffield to see my boyfriend," she said. "So the time for socialising with girls in Hull isn't that much if you're not sure where to look, but this has just been perfect on a weeknight after work." Daisy Glover, 19, said the group had helped her find friends who shared her interests. "I've met so many other women who enjoy the same sorts of things as me. I'm not a big drinker, so it's quite nice to meet people and do craft things," she said. "I have ADHD so I find it hard to keep the same friends, so I think sometimes it's a lot easier to come to these sorts of things and see people who maybe you wouldn't speak to in a normal situation." Daisy, who is a university student, said it could often be hard when "you haven't stayed friends with the same people through school or you've moved away". She added that many girls struggled to socialise at university, so groups such as Hull Girlies could really help. Many of the girls in the group are not originally from Hull and have found the events a great way to meet people in their new home. Vera Lukashenko, 21, said attending the meet-ups had helped her social skills and allowed her to connect with someone from her home country. "I'm an introvert so, for me, socialising sometimes can be difficult, so actually going out and speaking to different people has helped me to improve my network and my social skills," she said. "I actually found a friend who speaks the same language as me. It's so good to have a group such as this, so you don't feel lonely." The group's upcoming events include a Muay Thai class, speed friending, Pilates and a picnic. Mira wants everyone to feel welcome. "All women are welcome here – all ages and all backgrounds. This is a safe space for everyone," she said. "Whether you're new to Hull or you just want to expand your social network, Hull Girlies is for you." Cruz Beckham shares cryptic post about 'telling the truth' amid rumoured family feud
The alleged feud between the Beckham family is heating up, if Instagram is anything to go by. This weekend, Cruz Beckham took to his Story to share a cryptic post about "telling the truth", it comes amid rising fan speculation that there's a rift between the Beckhams, which has slowly bubbled since Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham tied the knot in 2022. Not sure what the heck we're talking about? Head here for our full debrief on the rumoured Beckham family feud, or for the TLDR version: the apparent feud began when Romeo Beckham started dating an alleged ex-girlfriend of Brooklyn's. Although it was later shut down that there was any romantic crossover, the rumoured feud was fired up further when Brooklyn and Nicola didn't attend David Beckham's 50th birthday bash earlier this year. All caught up? Great. So, back to Cruz's cryptic post. "It takes 43 muscles in your face to frown, and 17 to smile," he wrote on his Story. "Be kind and tell the truth." There's a lot to unpack there, especially when paired with another Instagram Story the 20-year-old shared just days before. "I love my family, I love you guys more than anything," he wrote alongside a photo of the Beckham family. "Mum and dad you gave us life and cared for us no matter what," he went on. "I cannot tell you how blessed we all are to have you in our lives." That post in itself might not seem too questionable, but it follows a post on Brooklyn's own Instagram in which he praises his wife in much the same way. "My whole world, I will love you forever," he wrote in a caption of himself and Nicola riding a motorbike. "I always choose you baby, you're the most amazing person I know, me and you forever baby." Fans had plenty to say in the comments section, further pointing to the alleged rift between the Beckham family. "Don't forget your beautiful parents who will always love you unconditionally," one person wrote, as another shared: "You don't have to choose." Elsewhere in the comments section, another fan added, "It's nice to see two young couple honouring their vows and minding their own lives." According to a source who spoke to Metro, Victoria Beckham is 'devastated' about the apparent drama but hopes it will be resolved soon. "Victoria hates to think about her family being so divided, especially with it involving one of her children," the source said. "She's hoping Brooklyn will come around and see things for what they are. They've always been a close-knit family."
