Fishermen's distress call sparks urgent search in Hell Hole Reservoir in Placer County
( — The Placer County Sheriff's Office dive team is searching Hell Hole Reservoir for a man who went underwater and has not been seen since.
Around 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, two men were fishing from kayaks when one of them fell into the water, according to PCSO. The second man, the one now missing, entered the water in an attempt to help. Both began swimming toward shore, but the second man went under and never resurfaced.

The man who made it to shore said he couldn't find anyone to help him and wasn't able to call 911 until around 8:45 a.m. on Friday.
'Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones affected as the search continues,' PCSO.
