Increase Driven by $1.1 Billion in Infrastructure Investments ST. LOUIS, May 16, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Missouri Public Service Commission (MoPSC) approved new water and wastewater rates for Missouri American Water in a rate order on May 7, 2025. The company's rate request was filed on July 1, 2024, and was primarily driven by $1.1 billion in infrastructure investment in plant and distribution system upgrades made since its last rate filing. New rates are expected to be effective on May 28, 2025. St. Louis County customers using 6,100 gallons of water per month will see an increase of approximately $7 on their monthly bill. All other customers using 4,600 gallons of water per month will see an increase of approximately $9 on their monthly bill. Wastewater customers will see an average increase of $6 per month. Rates vary by usage and service area. Missouri American Water offers customers bill payment assistance programs including a payment installment plan and budget billing options available on the customer MyWater portal at Income-eligible customers may also apply for assistance through the company's Help to Others (H2O) Program. ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Missouri Public Service Commission (MoPSC) today approved a settlement for new water and wastewater rates for Missouri American Water. The company's rate request was filed on July 1, 2024, and was primarily driven by $1.1 billion in infrastructure investment in plant and distribution system upgrades made since its last rate filing.
