UAHT offering free year with Hempstead Guarantee Scholarship
HOPE/TEXARKANA, Ar. (KTAL/KMSS) – High school students in Hempstead County can get their first year free at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT) with the Hempstead Guarantee Scholarship. 'This scholarship, which provides current graduates from high schools in Hempstead County with a full ride for their first year at UAHT, is a game-changer,' a press release stated. 'The scholarship covers tuition, fees, and book rental costs beyond the financial aid students qualify for in their first year after high school graduation.' TAMUT building housing to keep up with enrollment To qualify for the scholarship, high school students must: Graduate from a high school in Hempstead County, Ar. Complete the FAFSA application at and submit all financial aid documents by May 31. Enroll in at least 12 credit hours for the fall semester by June 30. UA Hope-Texarkana earns five awards at educational advertising competition The workshop will offer one-on-one help completing: The FAFSA (for federal financial aid) The Arkansas SAMS scholarship portal (for state financial aid) UAHT Scholarship applications—including the Hempstead Guarantee, which covers your full tuition & fees for one year Plus, students can enroll in summer and fall classes on the spot.
