Fake teachers ran school for 11 years, 26 booked

Varanasi: The Azamgarh police have registered an FIR against 26 individuals for allegedly running a govt-aided Janata Primary School in Azamgarh with fake teachers for the past 11 years. Following a probe by a committee of officials, serious irregularities were uncovered in the appointment of assistant teachers at the school. The investigation revealed that the school had been making appointments since 2014 without adhering to legal procedures or securing necessary approvals. Specifically, they failed to obtain written pre-approval from the district basic education officer, a requirement under the Basic School Regulations of 1975. Based on these findings, an FIR was lodged against the school manager and 25 teachers. Azamgarh SSP Hemraj Meena said, "An FIR has been lodged by Kotwali police under 316(5) (criminal breach of trust) and 318(4) (cheating) of BNS after receiving a complaint from the district social welfare officer on the charges of appointing 25 assistant teachers without approval and necessary regulations." "Further investigation is underway and action will be taken based on its report. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Rude Neighbor Cuts Down Tree, Freezes When Something Came Out Of The Trunk Undo No guilty will be spared in this episode," he social welfare officer Ashish Kumar Singh said that upon receiving complaints against the Janata Primary School in Bansasthan Jamilpur area, which receives grants from his department, the DM formed a three-member committee consisting of ADM, district basic education officer and district social welfare officer. The investigation revealed that the mandatory approval letter from the district basic education officer was not found in the dispatch register for the teachers' appointments. He added that several documents were found to be fake, and the seals and signatures on the appointment letters were not verified. It appeared that these assistant teachers obtained their positions without proper legal approval, indicating their involvement in a possible criminal conspiracy. Taking note of the investigation report, the additional chief secretary of the social welfare section-2 of the Uttar Pradesh govt in Lucknow and the director of social welfare ordered registration of an FIR on Aug 7. In view of the same, the DM asked the social welfare officer to move an application, and the FIR was lodged against Dharmendra Singh, Rampravesh Yadav, Ramjiavan Ram, Saurabh Singh, Poonam Singh, Prashant Kumar Pathak, Gyanchand Rahul, Prashant God, Madhulika Singh, Shivkumar, Vinita Singh, Sunil Dutt Yadav, Neetu Yadav, Ramakant Yadav, Virendra Upadhyay, Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Neelam Yadav, Shashi Kiran, Anita Yadav, Anita Kumari, Ashutosh Rai, Rakesh Kumar Singh, Rampreet Rajbhar, Varun Singh, Rajnikant Rai and Kamlesh Singh.
