Federation of Chinese Associations Tawau makes Gagasan Rakyat treasurer honorary President

TAWAU: Datuk Najib Tay Abdullah, Treasurer of Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Apas Division, has been appointed Honorary President of the Federation of Chinese Associations Tawau (TCSA). The appointment was made in recognition of his contributions and support to the community.
Advertisement The appointment letter was presented by TCA President Henery Wong Chen Khiong in a brief ceremony recently. Najib, who is also Pertubuhan Kebajikan Santun Kasih Sabah (PERSANTUN) Chairman, described the appointment as both an honour and a major responsibility. 'TCA is not just an ordinary association. It is the stronghold of the Tawau Chinese community's spirit, founded on the sacrifices and hard work of past generations. TCA is a big family uniting various Chinese associations in Tawau and serves as a key platform to preserve heritage and unity,' he said. He pledged to use his position as Honorary President to be a bridge between the government and the community, and to help strengthen TCA's role.
Advertisement 'I am ready to convey the voice of the community to Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, and to Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister cum Gagasan Rakyat Apas Division Chief, Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan, to ensure more direct and effective assistance can be delivered,' he said.
