Pets in Henrietta receive sudden rabies vaccination at pop-up clinic

HENRIETTA (KFDX/KJTL) — Nearly 100 pets in the town of Henrietta are up to date on vaccinations against rabies and other diseases after a sudden vaccination clinic. For an hour and a half on Thursday evening, cars lined up in the Bridge St. Annex parking lot, filled with pets waiting to get vaccinated against the deadly rabies virus and other Stetson Miller planned the clinic to ensure pets in the area stayed safe, as animals in rural communities are at a greater risk of contracting the virus. 'It's been a little while since we've had a vet clinic here in Henrietta. And so, getting all the animals that kind of have fallen through the cracks, vaccinated for things like rabies,' Miller said. 'Definitely a very important thing is that it's an important disease, not only in animals, but can be very detrimental in humans as well.' Dr. Miller said another reason the clinic was held was in response to a potential rabies case in a cat from Henrietta earlier in the year. Though the cat tested negative for the virus, city officials thought it would be a good idea to hold a clinic anyway. This won't be the only clinic like it held this summer, either. Dr. Miller said there will be another one on the last Thursday in June at the Cross Timbers Vet Clinic in Bowie. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Kate Middleton just wore these sunglasses from one of her favourite brands

With the weather warming up and the sun coming out, now's the time to invest in new sunglasses. If you need inspiration for the pair to choose, look no further than the Princess of Wales, who was today seen sporting a pair of shades from eyewear brand Finlay and Co. Those who follow Kate's style closely will know that she's plumped for the brand before. She opted for the Henrietta light tortoiseshell sunglasses (£160, on a royal engagement in the Bahamas in 2022, before re-wearing them at Wimbledon and the Royal Charity Polo Cup. More recently, she was also spotted leaving a Finlay and Co store in January, bag in hand. As for the pair she wore today, which coincides with the Waleses' 14th wedding anniversary, she opted for the brand's Vivian design. She styled them with a brown blazer, blue shirt and brown trousers during an outing with William in Scotland on the Isle of Mull. We're surprised (and pleased) to see that they're still in stock, so keep reading for how to get your hands on them. The shades in question are available in three frame dimensions and a variety of colourways including forest green, cinnamon orange and butterscotch brown. Kate opted for them in classic marble, which has a tortoiseshell look. Designed in London and handmade in Italy, the lenses provide all-important, full UVA/UVB protection from the sun's rays. Whether packed in your summer beach bag or worn around as an everyday pair year-round, these are an elegant choice. Owing to Kate's sartorial status and her reputation for wearing items that then instantly sell out, if you like this pair, we'd recommend snapping it up before they're gone.

Tiny Maine Coon Kitten Looks Just Like Cat From 'Mr. Rogers' and People Are Loving It

Everyone had their childhood favorites. When you were 5 years old, what were your favorites? I was always enamored with Little Bear, Oswald, and Max and Ruby. Nothing beats being an early 2000s kid. Except, maybe, being a Mr. Rogers kid! If that was you and you found yourself loving Henrietta, Mr. Rogers' funny feline sidekick, you're going to love this little baby Maine Coon. I'm not kitten around, he looks just like her: Someone in the comments of Maine Coon Mayhem's video said he looks like Daniel, but i have to disagree - he's a grey kitten! That's Henrietta Pussycat all day! This kitten is a Black Smoke Maine Coon, which basically just means that he has darker (black, in this case) fur at the tips, but as you move down the hair shaft, they lose pigment. His name is not Daniel, Henrietta, or Mr. Rogers, though: it's Craig. A hilarious name for a cat, but it fits. Look at his wispy grey fur! He totally looks like Henrietta: ever-so-slightly scraggly, grey, beautiful eyes that look like shiny buttons. Except that Henrietta's eyes are buttons, since she's a puppet and all! If ever a live-action, no-puppet Mr. Rogers reboot comes along, I just know Craig will be first at the casting call! He may look like a scraggly puppet right now, but Black Smoke Maine Coon cats grow up to be pure stunners. Just look: Black Smoke Maine Coons are not the rarest cat in the world, but they're uncommon enough that they're sought after and relatively hard to find. A true Black Smoke Maine Coon could run you $2,000 or better! Craig looks to be more of a darker grey right now, and most Black Smoke kitties do when they're young. That's just his baby coat: as he grows up, he'll eventually become a little less Mr. Rogers and a little more majestic beast! 🐶🐾🐾

'Tariffs are taxes' and Americans know it, economist says

Tariffs have been a significant factor in trade relations, especially with countries like China and Canada. Veda Partners managing partner and director of economic policy Henrietta Treyz joins Market Domination to explain how these tariffs are affecting President Trump's support among working-class voters and the difficulties of reaching successful trade agreements. To watch more expert insights and analysis on the latest market action, check out more Market Domination here. So many market participants we've spoken with, Henrietta, still say they see tariffs and President Trump's use of tariffs as a negotiating tool. Um, do you still think that, or maybe you never did. Do you think that's the case? Do you think that's the wrong way to frame this? There are 20% tariffs on $489 billion worth of goods coming in from Cana from China on top of the 25% tariffs that he imposed seven years ago. No, this is not a negotiation. And let's maybe take it a little bit further. If you do enter into negotiations with other nations, those negotiations take years. You know, we we reached a phase one trade deal with China in 2020 and there is still no adherence. Um, you need, after the tariffs go into effect, you know, you don't just need the country, say the EU, to come into the room with you and begin negotiations. You need to reach the end of the negotiation and then have them prove that they've delivered on whatever it is that you've asked them to do. That takes a tremendous amount of time. I think the EU auto tariffs, for example, are going to be in effect for a minimum of six months. 12 months is entirely possible. And should we run into different issues on the digital services tax or agriculture trade, it'll just continue to expand. You know, Henri, I have a political question for you as well, which is that, you know, you think about Trump's GOP, Henrietta. It's a different kind of GOP, it's a different kind of coalition. He's brought in more blue collar Americans and working class Americans. Except that you see these tariffs and they raise prices for these folks. How loyal do you think they remain to Trump, and for how long? You know, there's some really interesting polling data about all of the president's agenda. You know, the immigration issues, deportations, even the tax bill and tariffs, and tariffs consistently rank as the lowest area of support amongst his voters. So while they are behind him, and 83% of the population thinks that China is a major threat to the United States, we are not unclear about the fact that tariffs are taxes. The American public knows that. So when President Trump comes out and says, this is liberation day and, you know, tariffs are a tax cut, you can see from the consumer data that is coming out right now that the American public is not buying what he's selling on this specific topic. Um, so I do think it's an interesting area of disconnect. And on Tuesday, the Democratic conference in the United States Senate is actually going to force a vote. They just announced this about an hour ago. They're going to force a vote on the IPA tariffs against Canada and get all the Republican senators on the record either supporting or opposing the IPA tariffs that Trump has put on at 25% rates against Canada, and that's going to be fascinating. Um, that'll that'll happen on Tuesday. Sign in to access your portfolio
