Dumfries and Galloway firm shortlisted for two prestigious Scottish awards

Iron and Pine is aiming for success at both The Herald Property Awards for Scotland and the Made in Scotland Awards. A Dalbeattie firm has been shortlisted for two prestigious awards. ‌ Iron and Pine is in the running for The Herald Property Awards for Scotland for its work on Bothan – a seven container home on the Isle of Coll. ‌ And it has also been recognised by the Made in Scotland Awards. ‌ The Bothan container home project was praised for its innovative design and use of modular construction techniques which allowed the majority of the work to be completed offsite. It has been shortlisted in both the individual new build and innovation in sustainable construction and design categories at The Herald Property Awards, in association with Prime Property Auctions. Iron and Pine co-founder, Alistair Fell, said: 'We are incredibly proud to have been shortlisted for not one, but two awards in the Herald Property Awards. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team, and it highlights our commitment to sustainable, modular construction. 'We look forward to celebrating alongside our industry peers at the awards ceremony.' ‌ The awards ceremony will be held in Glasgow on Thursday, September 25 – the same evening as the Made in Scotland Awards. Iron and Pine has been shortlisted for the manufacturer of the year (under £25 million) prize. Co-founder, Luke Mazs, said: 'We're incredibly proud to be a Scottish business and although we have customers nationwide our roots remain firmly in Dumfries and Galloway. 'These nominations show that having a commitment to providing high quality products is vital in building business reputation and it's great that this has been recognised by the Made in Scotland judging panel.'
