According to Edmonton police, it's tactical team stopped a vehicle near 101A Avenue and 93rd Street Wednesday afternoon. A man inside the vehicle, believed to be the 32-year-old suspect, was apprehended following the deployment of a weapon that fires plastic projectiles and engagement with a police dog. He was treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, Edmonton police said. There were no details provided regarding the arrest of the 34-year-old suspect. Both of the men will be brought back to Regina in the coming days with further charges expected, Regina police added. Officers were called to the scene around 2 a.m. on May 30 and located Ewalk's body upon arrival. Ewalk's death is Regina's fourth homicide of 2025.
