The Chicago Bears are heading into the second year of Caleb Williams, and the quarterback is also facing his second offense in those years under new head coach Ben Johnson. Despite there being reports of the offense stuttering during training camp, there is a lot of excitement regarding this team's offense. More news: Steelers' Aaron Rodgers Drops Entire Tier in Latest Quarterback Rankings The Bears have DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, D'Andre Swift, Cole Kmet, and brought in some heavy hitters on the offensive line like Joe Thuney. The idea is to surround Williams with the right kind of talent so that he can flourish. Williams put together a rookie season that included 3,541 yards, 20 touchdowns, and six interceptions. It was a very solid first year, and he is set to build on that. Photo byMore news: Shedeur Sanders Has Shocking Spot on Browns Second Depth Chart According to NFL fantasy and betting expert Tyler Fulghum, Williams will not only be successful in 2025, but he will be the first-ever Bears quarterback to throw for over 4,000 yards. "This team is built to throw the football. You got DJ Moore, you got Rome Odunze, you drafted Luther Burden and Colston Loveland, you fortified the offensive line, and then brought in Ben Johnson ... I think for the first time in Bears history, we see a 4000-yard passer," Fulghum stated. Fulghum makes mention of Williams' skills in college, where he was named the Hesiman Trophy winner in 2022. To the young passer's credit, he already threw for over 3,500 yards in his rookie season, meaning he can certainly surpass 4,000 yards in 2025. Williams and the offense will need to click, and the world might be able to see that chemistry soon. The second-year signal caller was not showcased in the first preseason game, but he may make an appearance for a series when the Bears take on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Aug. 17. Should Williams surpass the 4,000 yards mark, he will become the first Bears quarterback to do so, which is shocking considering how long the team has been in the NFL. Erik Kramer in 1995 secured 3,838 yards, while Jay Cutler nearly matched that in 2014 with 3,812. The next closest was Cutler in third with 3,666 in 2009 and also fourth in 2015 with 3,659. Williams already leapt up the Bears' history books in 2024 with 3,541, which is good for sixth all-time. He has all the right tools to surpass 4,000 yards, but it will be up to him and the offense to take the next step when the regular season rolls around. 2025 Arizona Cardinals matchups that would make sense in prime time
2025 Arizona Cardinals matchups that would make sense in prime time Last season the Cardinals only had one prime-time game. These make for viable possibilities in 2025. The Arizona Cardinals and the rest of the NFL will find out their full 2025 regular-season schedule on Wednesday. The scheduled release will be at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. Arizona time). One of the big things that teams, players and fans look at are how many games get to be in prime time and play on national television — on Thursday night, Sunday night or Monday night. Last season, the Cardinals' only prime-time game was a Monday night gamethat aired on ESPN+ opposite the regular Monday night broadcast. Perhaps with an ascending team in 2025 they will have more night games. Which ones make the most sense? Arizona Cardinals matchups in 2025 that make sense in prime time Any NFC West game: Division rivalries always make sense, although the national attention prefers the San Francisco 49ers involved in those games. Cardinals at Bengals: The quarterback matchup of Kyler Murray and Joe Burrow, two former No. 1 picks and Hesiman Trophy winners, always makes for a good storyline. Cardinals at Cowboys: The Cowboys often get national TV attention and Murray is from the Dallas area. An added note is that Murray has never lost a game at AT&T Stadium ever, no matter the level of football. Cardinals at Buccaneers: A QB matchup of two buddies — Murray and Baker Mayfield. Packers at Cardinals: The Packers are always an intriguing watch and are considered contenders. The matchup of Murray vs. Jordan Love is fun.
