Gunman arrested after man found shot to death at San Bernardino County home
A suspect was arrested after a man was found shot to death at a San Bernardino County home. On May 23, San Bernardino County deputies responded to reports of shots fired at a home 16000 block of Sequoia Street in Hesperia around 6:14 a.m. Authorities found the victim, Blake Rutledge, 27, of Hesperia, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The gunman, along with several others, had fled the area after the shooting. Detectives later identified Ermes Bustamante, 37, of Victorville, as the primary suspect. A week later, on May 30, authorities tracked Bustamante down and took him into custody. He was arrested for murder and booked at the High Desert Detention Center, where he is being held on $1 million bail. Further details, including the motive behind the shooting and how the suspect and victim were known to each other, were not released. Investigators continue search for suspects seen fleeing from deadly shooting in Hesperia
Authorities are still searching for a group of suspects that were seen fleeing from the spot of a deadly shooting in Hesperia last week. They were dispatched to the 16000 block of Sequoia Street at around 6:15 a.m. on May 23 after receiving reports of shots fired, according to a release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. Deputies entered a residence in the area and found the victim, 27-year-old Blake Rutledge, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was declared dead at the scene. "Through investigation, deputies learned several people fled the area soon after the shooting," SBSD's release said. "An area check was conducted by the suspect was not located." As they continue to look into the incident, detectives ask anyone who knows more to contact them at (909) 890-4904.

Man, 60, and woman, 59, shot dead outside Inland Empire home
A 27-year-old man from San Bernardino County has been arrested in connection with the shooting deaths of a man and a woman earlier this week. The circumstances surrounding the violence are limited, but according to a news release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, the incident unfolded on May 20 just before 7 p.m. Deputies responded to the 18800 block of Madrone Street in Hesperia where they found a 60-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman lying in the driveway of a home suffering from gunshot wounds. The male victim, identified as Carlos Gonzales, was declared dead at the scene, while the female victim was rushed to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries, officials said. Authorities said they identified Hesperia resident Christian Armstrong as the suspect in the fatal shootings. Hordes of food delivery drivers wreaking havoc on L.A. neighborhood 'Deputies with the Victor Valley station located Armstrong in Apple Valley and took him into custody,' the release stated. Detectives with SBSD's Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail, have assumed the case. Authorities did not provide a possible motive for the incident, nor was any information provided on the relationship between the man, woman and the suspect. The female victim's identity is pending notification of next of kin. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact SBSD Det.
