SCHD Leads Dividend ETF Exodus with Big $7.1 Billion Outflow

The Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD) experienced $7.1 billion in outflows Monday, with its total assets under management falling 10.2% to $69.9 billion, according to daily fund flows data. Vanguard's High Dividend Yield Index ETF (VYM) and the iShares Select Dividend ETF (DVY) also saw large outflows of $3.7 billion and $2.3 billion, respectively, continuing the dividend ETF exodus. The Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) lost $2.3 billion despite the broader market rally. On the inflows side, the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) pulled in $1.1 billion, while the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) attracted $846.7 million. The Vanguard FTSE Developed Markets ETF (VEA) gained $676.4 million. U.S. equity ETFs were the hardest hit with outflows totaling $28.6 billion, while international equity funds attracted $1.3 billion. Overall, the ETF industry experienced total net outflows of $25.8 billion.
