Jana Ashkar Boards TV Series "Leladala Wagh Akher"
Yara Sameh Rising Egyptian actress Jana Ashkar (Athens, Watar Hassas) is attached to star in actor Yasser Galal's upcoming TV series "Leladala Wagh Akher". The cast also stars Arwa Gouda, Mohamed Alaa, Nouran Maged, and more. It is scripted by Amr El Daly, directed by Mohamed Yehia Moro, and produced by Mohamed Meshesh. "Leladala Wagh Akher" consists of 15 episodes and is set to premiere soon on a VOD platform. Born on April 16, 1969, Galal grew up in an artistic family: he is the son of the prominent director Galal Tawfik and the older brother of actor Ramez Galal. Galal studied at the High Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1990 and belongs to the cinema and TV rising generation that shined at the end of the 90s. After graduation, he starred in 'Rahma wa ameer al-ghaaba" (Rahma and Prince of the forest) and starred in more TV series and theatrical performances upon finishing his military service. He is best known for his roles in TV productions such as "Lan aeesh fe gelbab aby", 'Al-waad al-hakk", 'Nahnu la nazraa'al-shawk", 'Awlaad hadret al-naazer" , and 'Al-batal". Remembering Egyptian actor Ashraf Abdel-Ghafour
Abdel-Ghafour, born 22 June 1942 in El-Mahalla El-Kubra (a Nile Delta city), graduated from the High Institute of Dramatic Arts (1963). He started his career as a stage actor and appeared in titles such as Lady Gulfidan (1962), Soliman El-Halabi (1965), Three Nights (1965), The Dead Without Graves (1966), Guevara's Death (1968), My Homeland Acre (1968), and The Fire and the Olives (1969). Abdel-Ghafour has become dear to the general public through his roles in television series, an art form that has undeniably represented most of his creative work. He has appeared in more than 250 series over six decades. His debut TV series was Cairo and the People (1967), followed by series such as The Prayer of the Past and My Account with the Days. He made countless other titles, many of them historical and religious dramas (Imam Malik, The Judiciary in Islam, Farewell Cordoba, Omar Bin Abdul Aziz, Harun Al-Rashid, etc). In his final years, he appeared in TV series such as El-Serr (2022), Rasheed (2023), Hai El-Sayeda Zainab (2021), and Bet El-Qabayil (2019). Meanwhile, he has also made his mark in cinema, appearing in movies such as El-Ghadab (1972), Sun and Fog (1973), El-Resala (1976), She's Beautiful, and World of Love (1977), among other titles. Abdel-Ghafour was awarded numerous awards for his roles and sat on the jury of Egyptian theatre festivals. He was also the head of the Egyptian Actors' Syndicate from 2012 to 2015. Abdel-Ghafour's life was tragically cut short in a car accident on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road on 3 December 2023. Although he was quickly transferred to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving. The actor left behind his wife (who was also his cousin), two children, son Tamer and daughter Reeham (born 1978), who is also an actress, and grandchildren, whom he referred to as his "most important accomplishment." "Habsa Omri" to Screen in Second Half of Ramadan
Yara Sameh Egyptian actress Rogena's upcoming TV series "Habsa Omri" is set to be screened in the second half of the Ramadan 2025 drama marathon. The cast also stars Amr Abdul Gelil, Ali Eltayeb, Mahmoud El Bezzawy, Sayed Ragab, Mohamed Radwan, and more. "Habsa Omri" consists of 15 episodes and hails from director Mai Mamdouh and scriptwriter Mahmoud Ezzat. Rogena participated last Ramadan with the TV series " Ser Elahi". The cast also includes Mimi Gamal, Salah Abdallah, Ahmed Bedier, Noha Abdeen, Rasha Mahdi, Ahmed Salama, Mourad Makram, Ahmad Magdy, Mahmoud Hegazy, Rana Raeis, Mohamed Tharwat, and more. The series consists of 15 episodes and hails from director Raouf Abdelaziz and scriptwriter Amin Gamal. It marked the third collaboration between Rogena and Abdelaziz. They previously collaborated on "Inhiraf" (2022) and "Setohm" (2023). Born on April 16, 1973, Rogena graduated from the High Institute of Dramatic Arts. She is best known for her roles in TV series like 'Yawmmeyyaat zowg mo'aasser", "Layaly Al-Helmiya S5", "Hoanem Garden City S2", "Ma Sabek El Asrar", "Hekayet Hayat", "Kalam Aala Wara", "Halet Eshq", "Bin El Sarayat", "Baad El Bedaya", "Al Tabbal", "Al-Ostora", "Kafr Delhab", "Al-Toofan", "Al Prince", "Kayd Al Hareem", "Inhiraf", and "Settohom". On the film side, Rogena starred in "Al Maseer" and "El Farah".
