Alberta RCMP charge man, teen with murder in death on Atikameg First Nation
Article content Alberta RCMP have arrested and charged a 44-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy in the 2024 death of a First Nations man. Article content On Dec. 30, 2024, High Prairie RCMP were called to Atikameg First Nation to investigate the death of a man suffering 'suspicious injuries.' The Alberta RCMP major crimes unit led the investigation. An autopsy ruled the death a homicide. Article content Article content The victim was identified as 26-year-old Christian Mitchell, a resident of Atikameg First Nation. Article content Article content On Friday, police charged and arrested 44-year-old Rodney Nahachick, a resident of Atikameg First Nation, and a 15-year-old boy with second-degree murder.
