Aid or Ambush? Gaza Warns of Israeli Death Traps
DaysofPal- The Higher Committee for Tribal Affairs in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday warned Palestinians to stop heading toward border crossings and other gathering spots the Israeli military advertises as aid-distribution points, calling them 'death traps' that have already cost the lives of hundreds of desperate civilians, Quds Press reported. In a statement, the committee said it is working with international agencies to arrange 'safe and dignified' delivery of humanitarian assistance through dependable channels. It urged residents to avoid entering active combat zones randomly and instead allow qualified authorities and aid organizations to distribute relief fairly and securely. The committee emphasized that safeguarding civilian lives during the current crisis is both a national and moral duty, adding that broad public support for organized humanitarian efforts offers the best chance to halt further bloodshed. The appeal followed another deadly incident earlier Tuesday, when Israeli forces opened fire on crowds waiting for food at the Tahlia junction east of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza. At least 65 people were killed and hundreds wounded, local health officials said. Shortlink for this post:
