Those who live in the West are likely familiar with Hillion Mall, the small yet bustling mall right next to MRT Station. The mall offers over 100 stores spanning across 4 storeys, with plenty of F&B eateries boasting dishes from various cuisines.
Get ready to peruse all sorts of delicious restaurants and vendors. Here are 11 places in Hillion Mall for a convenient bite while in Bukit Panjang.
Nan Yang Dao is one of my favourite restaurant chains in the country. The brand was established in 2022 and specialises in Malaysian cuisine from different parts of the country. You'll be absolutely spoilt for choice here— I struggled to pick from its extensive menu, which includes nasi lemak, fried rice, rendang, noodles and so much more.
The (S$9.90) is my go-to— the flavourful mee siam is paired with a giant crispy fried chicken leg and sambal. Another delicious pick is the Chicken (S$12.80), served with a fragrant rendang chicken leg, achar, ikan bilis, peanuts and a sunny side up egg. The enormous portions were incredibly filling, and made the dishes super worth their prices.
Don't miss out on getting the Puff Pastry Egg Tart (S$2.60)— the flaky, buttery pastry and smooth egg custard were a match made in heaven.

The Hainan Story Introduction presents authentic Hainanese cuisine, with nostalgic dishes that will take you back to the early days. Dig into Hainanese delicacies like Hainanese Lamb Stew with Rice (S$16.80), with Hainanese Steamed Chicken (S$10.80) and Hainanese Claypot Noodle Soup (S$10.80).
Try the local favourite (S$8.80), served with a special sauce, crispy fried wantons and fishballs.
Other unmissable dishes are the Mama Wee Hainanese '' Set (S$11.80) and Crispy Fried Silver Dory Fish Set (S$12.80). Comfort yourself with a piping hot bowl of porridge— the Mix Porridge Set (S$9.80) comes with pork balls and sliced meat.
Before you take your leave, be sure to get the famous British Hainanese Swiss Rolls, priced at S$3.70 per slice or S$11.90 for the whole roll. Flavours include Coconut, Belgium Chocolate, Yam Orh Nee and Ondeh Ondeh.

Delight yourself with a fresh kaisendon while in Hillion Mall. Kei Kaisendon offers a variety of rice bowls to appeal to both seafood and meat lovers.
The Kei Signature comes in 3 sizes: Small (S$14.90), Regular (S$18.90) and Large (S$22.90), and is topped with a generous amount of mixed sashimi. If sashimi isn't your thing, you can opt for the (S$21.90) or Salmon (S$14.90) instead.
As for non-seafood consumers, go for the (S$13.90) or (S$17.90), each of which are topped with a nice amount of meat. The Beef Don (S$15.90), served with tender pieces of beef and an onsen egg, is another alternative.

Whenever I crave ayam penyet, Ayam Penyet President is one of my top picks to satisfy my cravings. As the name suggests, its (S$8.50) is its signature dish, served with a whole fried chicken leg, cabbage, beancurd, sambal and rice. For the price, the portions are pretty sizeable and very filling.
Other menu options include (Grilled Chicken) (S$8.50) and (Chicken in Green Chilli) (S$8.50). The eatery also has various non-chicken dishes, like (Grilled Beef) (S$9.90) and Beef (S$8.50).
Got a craving for fish? Go for the (Tilapia Fish in Sundanese Gravy) (S$16.90), a sweet and sour delight, or indulge in (Crispy Dancing Fried Fish) (S$14.90), a fried tilapia fish served with their signature chilli paste.

The Taiwanese bakery Kazo is the perfect place for you to soothe your sweet tooth while wandering around Hillion Mall. Indulge in various freshly baked breads and pastries, or go for a nice tart or cake instead. The large variety will certainly satisfy your various cravings.
The beautiful tarts, priced at S$3.80 for 1, S$11 for 3 and S$20 for 6, come in all sorts of different flavours, like Tart, Original Cheese Tart, Valrhona Hazelnut Tart and Lemon Meringue Tart. Each tart comes in a fragrant, buttery shell— I personally love the Lemon Meringue Tart for its zesty, piquant flavours.
Other treats sold here are the Signature Hokkaido Strawberry Cake (S$6.90), Premium Fruit Cheese Tart (S$4.90), Chocolate Fudge Cake Slice (S$6.90) and (S$3.80).

Dig into traditional Chinese cuisine at Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao, located on the first floor of Hillion Mall. Have your pick of dim sum, with choices like Pork Dumpling with Homemade Hot Chilli Vinaigrette (S$10.90), Salted Egg Yolk Custard Bun (S$8.20) and Pan-fried Pork Dumpling (S$7.30).
Don't miss the Signature Assorted (S$15.90), which comes in the flavours of Original, Crab Meat & Conpoy, Chilli Crab and Black Truffle, perfect for those who love variety. Stave off those hunger pangs with a nice bowl of la mian, such as the Signature Szechuan (S$12.50) and with Beef Shank in Szechuan Style (S$14.90).
You could also get a few main dishes to share with your loved ones— how does some Shredded Crispy Duck served with Egg Crepe (S$23.80) or Lychee with Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet (S$19.90) sound?

In the mood for Taiwanese cuisine? Eat 3 Bowls is just the place to visit. This affordable eatery has all your favourite Taiwanese dishes, with mains like Braised Pork Rice (S$5.80), Chicken Rice (S$5.80) and Oyster Intestines (S$8.50). Sample all 3 bowls when you get the Eat 3 Bowls (S$14.50) platter.
There are various sides available to snack on, including the Salted Crispy Chicken (S$8.80), Sweet Potato Fries (S$8.80), Braised Intestines (S$8), Taiwanese Sausage (S$5) and Tomato Omelette (S$7).
No Taiwanese place is complete without some good ol' bubble tea— the Bubble Tea Latte (S$4.70) is a classic, though the Milk Tea with Pudding (S$4.70) is my personal pick. You could also go for the Black Tea Latte with Pearls & Red Beans (S$5.30) or the refreshing Passion Fruit QQ (S$5.30).

As one of Japan's most successful tendon chain restaurants, Tempura Tendon Tenya certainly does not skimp on quality. The portions are pretty big, with a decent selection of deep fried fritters to pick from.
The (S$14.10) is a classic pick that consists of tempura chicken, pumpkin, sweet potato and other assorted ingredients atop a bed of rice. Get it with Cold for S$19.50.
Other tendon bowl options include Prawn (S$15.10), Vegetables (S$9.50), Seafood (S$16.10) and Salmon (S$18.90). If you're looking to cut back on deep-fried food, Tempura Tendon Tenya also has non-fried selections like the Salmon (S$18.90) and Curry (S$7.90).

CHICHA San Chen is no stranger to most bubble tea fanatics in Singapore. The brand is regarded as one of the best in the country, with incredibly fragrant tea and soft, chewy pearls. You can either choose from their menu of signatures, or you can customise your own cup. Simply begin by selecting your choice of tea for S$3.80, then add on mixes, juices and toppings, ranging from S$1 to S$2.50 each.
I went for the Oat Milk Tea (S$7.30), containing green tea, oat milk and sakura konjac jelly. The tea was aromatic while the konjac jelly was delightfully chewy, providing the drink with a bit of floral flavour.
If sakura isn't your thing, try the Bubble Milk Tea (S$5.60), Passion Fruit Summertini (S$5.80) or Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Bubble (S$5.80) instead, just to name a few.

The French American Bakery started out as a quaint bakery along Haji Lane, selling artisanal bakes crafted with French and American pastry techniques. Now, you can conveniently find them at Hillion Mall too.
Grab a baked good to start your day— how does a Caramel Pecan Cream Cheese Bun (S$7.20) or Nutella Cream Swirl (S$8.50) sound?
Savoury selections include the Sundried Tomato & Olive Croissant (S$6.50), (S$7.50) and Ham & Cheese Roll (S$6).
The New York Style Cookie (S$5) is a thick, chunky cookie topped with large chocolate pieces, making it an extra indulgent dessert. Alternatively, treat yourself to a Blueberry Cheesecake Croissant or Mixed Fruit Danish, priced at S$6.50 each.

Annyeonghaseyo! At POCHA! Korean Street Dining, located at Basement 2 of Hillion Mall, all your favourite Korean dishes are conveniently presented, allowing you to enjoy Korean street food whenever you want.
The most popular dishes here are the Creamy (S$13.90), Hangari Bokkeumbab (S$11.90), Sindang-Dong Tteokbokki (S$11.90)and Budae Jjigae (S$15.90), just to name a few.
Fried food lovers can go for the Krispy Chunks with Fried (S$12.90), coated in sweet Yangnyeom sauce, or the popular Potato Corndog (S$7.90). If you like raw seafood, do not miss the Ganjang Gejang (S$15.90), a raw marinated crab in homemade soy sauce.
