Multi Modal Logistics Park to feature dedicated commercial zone
Indore: The development work for the proposed Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) near Pithampur in Dhar district has commenced, with a dedicated commercial zone accounting for around 10 per cent of the total 112.6 hectare of the park. The project, estimated at Rs 1,110.6 crore, will be divided into multiple zones to cater to various services and operations. "The possession of the proposed land has been taken and with this the development work has started in the park. The park will become a boon to the state and give a massive fillip to industrial and logistics growth in the state," said Himanshu Prajapati, executive director of MPIDC, Indore. The MMLP will offer warehousing, specialised storage solutions, freight transportation, cargo aggregation and distribution, handling services at container terminals and/or bulk/breakbulk cargo terminals, a customs electronic data interchange service centre, and cargo scanning facilities. Established in a PPP (DBFOT) mode, the MMLP spans 112.6 hectare including 90 hectares of private land from the villages of Kheda, Akolia, Sagor and Jamodi, and 22 hectare of govt land. MPIDC has secured possession of land from these four villages to facilitate the project's development. An SPV has been formed among National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML), Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), and Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) to establish the logistics park.

MPIDC allots plots to 23 against land pooling for Sector 7 in Pithampur
Indore: Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) on Monday allotted commercial and residential plots to 23 landowners from whom it pooled land for the upcoming Sector 7 industrial area in Pithampur. Around 9.5 hectare, including 10 commercial and 427 residential plots, were allotted to landowners by the MPIDC. The value of the land parcels allotted is estimated to be around Rs 49 crore. These allotments include land parcels registered between Sept 1, 2022, and Dec 31, 2022. The industries department is pooling land from private landowners for developing Indore's newest industrial expansion — Sector 7 in Pithampur — which is coming up on around 2,090 hectare, comprising 600 hectare of govt land and the remaining being private land. The development cost is estimated to exceed Rs 2000 crore. MPIDC Indore executive director Himanshu Prajapati said, "Around 23 farmers were allotted land on Monday. This included 427 residential and 10 commercial plots. It was the second allotment in five days." With this allotment, a total of 47 farmers have beeb allotted land in five days. The industrial area has received investment proposals amounting to more than Rs 7000 crore against the allotted 272.91 hectare to industries in Sector 7, said MPIDC. Action Construction Equipment (ACE), Pinnacle Industries, Shakti Pumps, JSW Paints, Asian Paints, and Ardee Engineering Ltd are a few industries that have taken land in Sector 7. The land acquisition process follows a unique compensation model, where farmers receive 20 percent of the compensation in cash, while the remaining 80 percent is provided as developed residential or commercial plots.

MPIDC plans to offer 1,800 acre land in Indore region to attract investments
Indore: Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) is set to offer approximately 1,800 acre of land across four industrial areas in Indore region by next month, aiming to attract over Rs 16,000 crore investments. MPIDC intends to showcase and attract investments on land parcels in newly developed areas, including PM Mega Integrated Textile and Apparel Park (Mitra) in Dhar, IT Park 4 in Indore, Mohana phase 2 in Indore, and Tilgara in Dhar. MPIDC executive director Himanshu Prajapati said, "We have developed prominent industrial areas in Indore region, and we are optimistic about attracting substantial investment based on their prime locations and the interest we've received from various industries. We are planning to start land allocations in ongoing second quarter of the fiscal." A significant portion of land, approximately 1,550 acre, will be allocated in the PM Mitra, one of seven textile parks being developed nationwide under a central govt scheme aimed at boosting textile manufacturing. It features state-of-the-art facilities, including residential areas, healthcare, and logistics support. We anticipate attracting around Rs 15,000 crore in investments, resulting in approximately 100,000 job opportunities," Prajapati said. Additionally, MPIDC plans to allocate 230 acre in Tilgara for diverse sectors, including MSMEs, with a projected investment of around Rs 1,500 crore, while Mohana phase 2 will see about 20 acre made available for various industries. IT Park 4 is also set to offer 75,000 square feet dedicated to IT and ITES companies. "We have already held a few rounds of talks with IT companies and incorporated their suggestions. The initial expression of interest from them indicates around Rs 150 crore investment and employment opportunities for around 1,500 people," said Prajapati.

MPIDC receives proposals for new pvt logistics parks
Indore: Pithampur industrial hub near Indore, is set to significantly boost its logistics infrastructure with the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) receiving proposals for new private logistics parks. This development comes as the region continues to attract major investment in its rapidly expanding industrial and logistics sectors. According to MPIDC executive director Himanshu Prajapati, prominent investors, including Gateway Distriparks and the Dubai-based Sharaf Group, expressed keen interest in developing logistics parks in the area. Both entities specifically requested approximately 40 acres of land each in proximity to the upcoming Indore-Dhar Railway line, signalling a strategic focus on multimodal connectivity. "These are the first private logistic park proposals received by MPIDC that presently are in the initial stage. The lands will be allotted to the private firms on lease while we will, as per the policy, also offer them incentives and other assistance as required," he said. This MMLP is being established with a substantial investment of around Rs 1,110 crore across an area of approximately 250 acres, promising to be a cornerstone of the region's logistics capabilities. "The combined development of these private logistics parks and the state-led MMLP is expected to provide a significant boost to the logistics sector in the wider Indore region, enhancing connectivity, reducing transportation costs, and attracting further industrial growth," he said, adding that the strategic location, coupled with improved rail connectivity from the Indore-Dhar line, positions Pithampur as a crucial logistics gateway for Central India.

Khargone admn transfers 60ha to MPIDC for Nimrani Phase 2
Indore: Khargone district administration has transferred around 60 hectare land to Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) for establishing a new industrial area in Nimrani. The proposed industrial sector is set to be developed adjacent to AB Road on the vacant parcel of land, targeting investments from textile manufacturers, component producers and food processing enterprises. MPIDC Indore executive director Himanshu Prajapati said, "We got allotted 60 hectare land in Khargone district from Khargone administration. This parcel of undeveloped land will be used to extend the existing industrial belt. The proximity of this parcel to the road and resources makes it a suitable place for industries. We are looking to attract investments from across sectors in this area." The upcoming industrial belt will be Nimrani Phase 2, where the industries department is planning to attract investments from anchor units and local industries.
