Meet actor who left MBA halfway to peruse acting, later became a household name with.., also called Bihar Babu, his name is... In the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood, it is often the dazzling and superficial lives of the actors that come to the forefront. However, some actors are known for their depth beyond their superficial appearance and lifestyle. One such tale belongs to an actor who is known not just as a great artist but also recognised for his grounded nature and simplicity. Besides being an actor, he is also a mentor, theatre director, writer, and producer. The actor we are talking about is none other than Vinay Pathak. Vinay was born in Bihar, and away from the world of limelight, he was a studious and well-read kid who wanted to enter the world of corporate. He even enrolled in Stone Brook University in the United States to pursue an MBA, but destiny had other plans. During his time in time in U.S., he developed a fascination for cameras and lights, and he started performing on stage, and soon theatre became his second home. Balancing both together, he attended acting workshops along with his ongoing studies. Eventually, he realised that his true calling is not in business but in building and playing characters. Halfway into his MBA, he dropped out of it and returned to India to chase his acting dream. Coming back to India, he ventured into his career with Doordarshan's show Hip Hip Hurray. Carving his own niche, Vinay got into this industry with sheer talent and dedication. But the turning point came for Vinay with the 2007 comedy Bheja Fry, in which he portrayed the innocent and lovable Bharat Bhushan. His impeccable comic timing, strong screen presence, and simplicity won hearts of million with him soon turning into a household name. Besides this, he has also done some impeccable performances in films like Dasvidaniya, Chhoti Si Baat, and Gaur Hari Dastaan. But what stood out was his ability to make every character feel real and relatable. Vinay Pathak's contribution to cinema isn't just limited to acting. He has been a theatre teacher, guest lecturer, and mentor to many aspiring actors. Recently, he got a lot of praise for his work in the film Chidiya and the web series Gram Chikitsalay. Famously known 'Bihari Babu,' he has done justice to this title by carrying the essence of Bihar with him, which is his simplicity and warmth. From humour to pain, Vinay is a versatile actor who can emote any feeling on the screen.

Seema Pahwa says she might have to bid goodbye to the film industry as it's now run by businessmen: 'They have murdered creative people'
Seema Pahwa is one of the most known faces in the industry as she's been around for many years and been a part of some memorable projects. However, in a recent interview, Seema has admitted that she has diverted herself to theatre lately as she sees less scope of work for actors like her within the industry. She also slammed the industry for the fact that the creative people are now murdered and only businessmen are running it. She admitted that soon she might have to bid farewell to it. In a recent interview with Bollywood Thikana, Seema shared, "Mujh lag raha hai bahi jaldi namaste karni padege film industry ki (I think I will have to say goodbye to the industry every soon). The condition is very bad of the industry and in a way they have murdered creative people in the industry. It has been completely taken over by businessmen. They want to keep this industry alive with their business mind. I don't think, we who have worked for so many years in the industry, can sustain this mindset." She added, 'I understand they want to earn money and that's why maybe they don't need people like us. They calls us purane log (old fashioned people) and tell us, 'Your thought process is very old.' They argue with us that an actor makes a film work. According to them only commercial things make a film work." Pahwa said that actors like her do not get the kind of respect or work that they deserve. "If you make good low budget films , at least 2 out of 5 will work. But they only want to stick to the same old formula that people are rejecting. OTT has its own issues. I have diverted myself to theatre. I don't think we will get the respect that we deserve in films or the sort of work we deserve,' she said. Seema is known for her work like the popular television show 'Hum Log', Hip Hip Hurray' and in recent times movies like 'Bareily Ki Barfi', 'Aankhon Dekhi', 'Badhaai Do', 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' among others.
