Rapper shocks with admission he ‘doesn't eat and just drinks a bunch of water'

Published Updated Machine Gun Kelly has worried fans with his confession that he barely eats anything and just has 'a bunch of water' instead, a diet which could be 'dangerous' according to medical experts. Apparently, the Bad Things rapper – who recently welcomed a little girl with ex-partner Megan Fox – lives off bone broth, kimchi, and water. While promoting his new album Lost Americana, MGK appeared in a food-eating interview with Ladbible, but this has sparked a resurgence in concern about his diet. In a resurfaced clip, originally posted last month on Instagram account HipHop-N-More, the 35-year-old star revealed: 'I don't really eat. I just do water a bunch.' The men surrounding him were slightly confused, asking if he meant he followed a fasting diet, to which he nodded. 'Like, I ate that burger 'cause we're streaming,' MGK explained and praised his friend's cooking skills, but another man asked if they weren't filming, what would he have eaten. 'Probably water,' came the new father' s shocking reply, prompting concerned questions about if he feels 'lightheaded' at all. 'Yeah, sometimes. I'll eat, like, a couple times a week,' the Home rapper confessed, stating his meals mainly consist of 'bone broth with kimchi and sauerkraut.' He added he will have celery juice and coconut water 'sometimes', with his diet rounded out by cigarettes and coffee. 'Because it has probiotics, you know?' MGK continued. 'So, like, when you do those water fasts, the only thing that's crazy is it kills all the good bacteria in you, too, so you gotta put the pro[biotics].' His friends declared he was 'healthy as hell' before one quoted a supposed study claiming that 'one seven-day fast removes like 80% of cancer-causing cells from your body'. Metro was unable to verify the existence of this study. The NHS explains on their website: 'Cancer is a condition where cells in the body grow in an uncontrolled way.' Cancer occurs when a cell undergoes a genetic mutation, causing it to divide and grow uncontrollably, so all cells in the body are potentially cancer-causing. Dr Wuraola Odunlami, a London-based GP and founder of Seazenal, told Metro there is 'ongoing scientific interest in the role of fasting in health, including its potential relationship to cancer biology' However, she stated: 'It is important to clarify that fasting does not 'starve' cancer cells in a way that cures or treats cancer, nor does it 'remove 80% of cancer-causing cells'. Cancer is a highly complex disease with many subtypes, and tumour cells often adapt metabolically to survive under stress conditions, including fasting.' MacMillan 's website debunks claims that fasting can stop you getting cancer, adding: 'There is no good evidence that fasting reduces overall cancer risk. You can contact their helpline on 0808 808 00 00 (7 days a week from 8am to 8pm), use their webchat service, or visit their site for more information. The cancer charity noted that you can 'help to reduce your risk by keeping a healthy weight and eating a balanced diet' but there is 'no one diet that can prevent cancer.' As for MGK's water fasting diet, there are some studies that suggest short periods of time may improve health, but fasting for long periods is detrimental. Heathline acknowledged that 'water fasting may also promote autophagy, a process in which your body breaks down and recycles old, potentially dangerous parts of your cells.' However, 'water fasting has many risks and can be very dangerous if followed for too long.' The outlet added you should not fast for longer than 24-72 hours 'without medical supervision because of health risks.' MGK has previously shared his workout routine with Men's Health, consisting of five sessions per week to keep in shape for his energetic performances. 'When you physically feel good, mentally feel good,' he said, adding: 'I'm not Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, but people should look at me and think, If this guy can get into the gym, I can, too.' ‘This is not self-control': Internet concerned for Machine Gun Kelly after he admits he eats only ‘couple times a week'

Machine Gun Kelly has revealed what he prefers to eat and why he skips most meals in a day. The rapper was in conversation with Instagram account HipHop-N-More, where he shared that he only eats a "couple of times a week," with kimchi, sauerkraut and bone broth comprising large parts of his diet. This sparked concern among fans and social media users who wondered why the rapper was following such an extreme diet and whether it could benefit his health at all. Like, I ate that burger 'cause we're streaming, and it's my man's s–t, you know?' When asked what he would have for dinner, he responded: 'Probably water.' Shocked, the rest of the gang asked whether he ever feels lightheaded or low on energy because of this extreme habit. The rapper replied, "Yeah, sometimes. I'll eat, like, a couple times a week. Like bone broth with kimchi and sauerkraut. 'Cause it has probiotics, you know? So, like, when you do those water fasts, the only thing that's crazy is it kills all the good bacteria in you, too, so you gotta put the pro[biotics].' How internet reacted Reacting to Machine Gun Kelly's remarks, someone said in the comments, 'Bro is describing anorexia.' A comment read, 'Hey, just so you're aware—this is 100% an eating disorder.' Another said, 'This is called anorexia. Men can have it too. This is disordered eating, not self control.' 'He HAS to be eating more than this amount…he's really thin but he's 6'5 and he's not SKELETAL thin,' argued another. MGK has been in the limelight for his relationship with actor Megan Fox. The duo broke up in late November 2024, weeks after they announced Megan's pregnancy. The split occurred despite the couple's engagement in 2022. The duo welcomed a daughter, Saga Blade Fox-Baker, last year in March.

Machine Gun Kelly shares details about diet including water fasts: "I'll eat a couple times a week'

Machine Gun Kelly has drawn concern from fans after revealing details about his current eating habits. In a video interview posted by Instagram account HipHop-N-More, the 35-year-old said, 'I don't really eat. I just do water a bunch.' When asked by a group of men if he fasts, the artist confirmed with a nod. He explained, 'Like, I ate that burger 'cause we're streaming, and it's my man's s–t, you know?' When asked what he would have eaten otherwise, he replied, 'Probably water.' MGK then clarified his regular routine: 'Yeah, sometimes. I'll eat, like, a couple times a week.' He elaborated that his meals typically consist of 'bone broth with kimchi and sauerkraut,' citing their probiotic content. He added that he occasionally drinks celery juice and coconut water, and also stated, 'Coffee and cigarettes' are part of his daily intake. Kimchi and sauerkraut are fermented foods known for containing probiotics but are low in essential macronutrients. Bone broth is often consumed for its mineral and collagen content but is not a complete source of nutrition. MGK, who shares two children with Emma Cannon and Megan Fox, also celebrated one year of sobriety in August 2024. Reactions to his remarks online included comments expressing concern around disordered eating and malnourishment.

Machine Gun Kelly eats just 'a couple of times a week'

Machine Gun Kelly only eats "a couple of times a week". The 35-year-old musician has revealed that he rarely eats meals and instead "does water a bunch" as he broke down his diet. In a clip shared on the Instagram account HipHop-N-More, MGK said: "I don't really eat. I just do water a bunch." The star ate a burger as he appeared on the stream but explained that doing so was very much out of the norm for him. MGK said: "Like, I ate that burger 'cause we're streaming, and it's my man s***, you know?" The musician - who has moved away from hip-hop to adopt a pop-punk sound - admitted that he likely wouldn't have eaten at all had he not been on the stream. When asked what he would've had for dinner, MGK said: "Probably water." The Home hitmaker then revealed his concerning diet. Asked if ever feels weak, MGK - whose real name is Colson Baker - said: "Yeah, sometimes. I'll eat, like, a couple of times a week." MGK revealed that the meals that he does eat are made up of "bone broth with kimchi and sauerkraut". The singer - who has daughters Cassie, 16, and Saga Blade, four months, from his relationships with Emma Cannon and Megan Fox respectively - explained: "Cause it has probiotics, you know? So, like, when you do those water fasts, the only thing that's crazy is it kills all the good bacteria in you, too, so you gotta put the probiotics." MGK explained that he drinks both celery juice and coconut water from time to time. He said: "I'll drink celery juice sometimes, yeah. Coconut water." The musician became a father for the second time earlier this year when the Jennifer's Body actress gave birth to their daughter and he explained that his parenting "speciality" is bringing "music and laughs". MGK told People magazine: "[I recently] wrote her a lullaby on a ukulele. "Megan is in the no sleep club, for sure. I've been travelling a little bit, just doing some performances. So on those nights, I for sure, just hit the snooze button a million times and I'm catching up on all this. "Women are in the rougher trenches of the newborn process, but my specialty is music and laughs and whatever I can do to make her smile and kind of get introduced to the world with love."
