And now, the Christie and Dan Show host has announced that she is expecting a baby with her husband Justin Coombes-Pearce. Christie, 38, informed listeners on Monday after first surprising her co-host Dan Taylor with the happy news three weeks ago during an off air segment that was also filmed. The moment was shared with listeners during the announcement and later posted to Instagram. In the clip, an ecstatic Christie can be seen passing a ' Jimi Hendrix ' lunchbox to her co-host. 'Am I gonna find some wacky tobacky in here?' Dan joked before opening up the 'present'. On opening the container, Dan discovered 'thousands' of pregnancy home tests. 'I'm pregnant!' the former Home and Away star declared. 'I found out on Friday that I was pregnant. I'd been doing all these pregnancy tests and on Friday I had to get a blood test to confirm it. It came up with really good news.' In another moment from the video, the two breakfast radio stars can be seen sharing a hug. Elsewhere, Christie made an emotional statement thanking her listeners especially those who had shared their own IVF journey on the program. 'It's been four years in the making … I am pregnant. We are ecstatic, we are safe, and we're in the second trimester already. 'I just want you to know that if you are going through IVF,' she continued. 'I have been where you are. I know how hard it is. I just want you to know that it can happen. When you least expect it, your life can change.' Christie also shared her happy news to Instagram and included a touching family snap featuring her two boys, and husband in a group hug. 'And after the rain, came the rainbow,' the radio star said in the catpion. 'We are all over the moon to announce the news that we are expecting! The most prayed for, wanted, adored baby that we are all so in love with already. 'After losing a baby, two back to back chemical pregnancies, our miracle is finally here. And now, somehow, it makes sense. The final piece of our puzzle. 'To my fellow IVF warriors — I see you. I am you. If you're still waiting, still aching, still hoping — please don't give up. Your miracle might just be around the corner, your story is still unfolding and we never know what the next chapter holds.' 'Our beautiful boys and my darling husband and I couldn't be happier. Love you all! Xxxx.' She tied the knot with Triple M's Justin in 2021 and the couple immediately made plans to have a baby. Christie has often discussed her family heartache over the last few years on her show, including detailing the anguish she experienced following a miscarriage three years ago. She has two sons, Hendrix, 10 and Harley, nine, from her relationship to wine broker Daniel White. The pair split in 2019 after marrying in 2015. Now based in Hobart, Christie rose to fame in 2000 after playing 'twins' Kirsty and Laura in Home and Away. After leaving the soap in 2005 she returned in 2008 before making a final exit in October the following year. In 2022 she launched the Dan and Christie Show on the Hit Network with co-host Dan Taylor.

Carrie Bickmore has broken down in an emotional interview in which she discussed how she 'saved' the lives of her close friend and her husband. The 44-year-old radio star revealed on the Hit Network's Carrie and Tommy show that she helped her close friend Jamila Rizvi find suitable treatment after she was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour - while emotionally supporting her husband. 'My husband Jeremy and I were going through it together, but differently. He was thinking that if the worst happens, then he has to keep living,' Jamila told Carrie. The 31-year-old then revealed she enlisted Carrie to speak to her husband on her behalf because they were struggling to cope with the shock diagnosis. 'I called Carrie and said, "Would it be all right if I introduced you two? I think he needs to talk to someone",' Jamila explained. 'It surprised no one that Carrie showed up on our doorstep 15 minutes later!' Carrie added that her visit came as a huge surprise to Jamila's husband, who was so grateful that the radio star had introduced them to a renowned neurosurgeon. 'Poor Jeremy. I don't think he was in the head space to receive a random person he never met in his lounge room,' Carrie said. Jamila, who has been friends with the radio star for years, added she and her husband were really struggling at the time and were incredibly grateful for the support Carrie gave them. 'I think it is the best thing that has happened to us! We were definitely at our worst and you were very kind, supported us through the headspace we were in,' Jamila said. 'You introduced us to the neurosurgeon who operated on me twice and unquestionably saved my life. Another surgeon wouldn't have been able to do that surgery!' 'There was so much going on. I am so thankful the surgeon was able to help you because he was amazing,' Carrie added. Jamila Rizvi initially thought her missed periods were just a sign of stress. After noticing she hadn't menstruated for two months, the Aussie TV presenter decided to see a GP as a precaution to check her hormones, as she had just stopped breastfeeding her toddler son Rafi. Jamila, who has been friends with the radio star for years, added she and her husband were really struggling at the time and were incredibly grateful for the support Carrie gave them. Pictured together on The Project in 2017 But the then-31-year-old's world came crashing down when she was diagnosed with craniopharyngioma, a rare 'one-in-a-million' brain tumour. 'For me, it was very much out of the blue... I was very unexpectedly diagnosed with a rare kind of brain tumour so I've got a physically broken brain,' Jamila told Carrie and Tommy. 'Because of where the tumour grows and the complexity of the brain, for me it began with hormones so I just skipped a period.' Reflecting on that fateful day seven years ago, the political commentator was on a book tour, so she suspected the missed cycle was simply due to stress. 'Then it happened again. I was very diligent, went and saw my GP and I think that's when I got lucky the first time because my GP took me really seriously... I got blood tests done, she sent me off to specialists and then a gynaecologist,' Jamila said. In 2017, doctors found a tumour lodged deep in her brain, dangerously close to her optic nerves, hypothalamus, and pituitary gland.

On Sunday, the 40-year-old comedian took to Instagram to announce he quit vaping and plans to lose 10kgs ahead of The Big Five Marathon in South Africa for Bickmore's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer charity on June 14. Little joked he ran 13.3 km but not quickly because he was a 'doughy boy" as he prepared for the feat in his home city of Melbourne. 'We are seven weeks out from The Big Five Marathon in South Africa. I just ran 13.3 km. Not quick because I am a doughy boy,' the radio star said in a video. 'I weighed myself this week. I weigh 86kg, which might not sound like that much, but the only time I ran a marathon, I weighed 70kg. So I am 16kg over my previous running weight. 'I'm trying the best I can. I don't think I'm going to be breaking any PBs (personal best), but I've quit vaping for the 42nd time this week. I did three runs. A couple sessions in the gym.' In the caption, Little said he was doing his best to raise money for Bickmore's cause and encouraged his 300,000 followers to donate. 'I plan to lose at least 10kgs and work my ass off for the next 7 weeks, anyone who wants to get involved is more than welcome,' he said. Bickmore encouraged her co-star in the comments, which ignited his banter-fuelled response. 'Yes, Tommy!!!!! Yes!!!! You got this,' she said 'You're stoned again, aren't you?'
