As such, Brad Stevens will likely be active in the trade market. Now that Jayson Tatum has been ruled out of the 2025-26 season due to an Achilles tendon tear, Stevens may look to cut the cost of the current roster. Furthermore, he could potentially explore the possibility of rebuilding the roster to create a more sustainable contention window for when Tatum is back on the floor. However, if Stevens does pursue a rebuild, that may spell the end of Jaylen Brown's tenure with the franchise.
